Alex has always let his thoughts get to him. Some may argue that he has a perfect life, and that may be true, but regardless his over thinking drives him to the breaking point some days.
When Alex develops a massive crush on the new kid Jack he can only hope he likes him back. Alex would be happy to just be friends with Jack, because in his eyes, he's perfect.
