Glad to know you're still here even after how long it took me to update

I am still here and reading! I was surprised to see a notification for this, haha, but happy to see that it's possibly being picked back up again.
Hmm... maybe Riley can do one of those DNA tests where you find out your ancestry, origins, etc., and find her sister that way? Fun fact, my cousin did one of those and found a long lost half sister him and his parents didn't even know about. Apparently they do like a database on people who do them and idk, you're able to find other current living relatives, even long lost siblings. XD
Great job with the update, though. Not much happened, so not much to report on, but it was sweet how Alex was there for her. :)

Sometimes the words I originally put in bold/italics aren't on here because the formatting disappears when I copy and paste the chapter after I finished writing it. It really sucks, but often I remember. Guess I fucked up this time xD

I realized I forgot to put the reason in italics xD It's in there, but not really obvious without it. Maybe it's easier to understand now? I don't know. I didn't want to get into too much detail yet, but if it doesn't make sense, then that's a problem.

Well, it might be a lame reason on her mom's part. But at least now Alex knows their hatred towards him wasn't exactly personal. I hope this doesn't hurt Riley too much. I can't imagine it's easy for her to learn her dad is kind of a jerk and she's got a sister out there. It'd be interesting if they met and the sister is deaf too!

Interesting, I hope you consider writing a chapter about Riley seeking/finding her sister. There could be all kinds of complications in that!

Yay, and a new update for this! :D
So... I'm confused. XD Maybe I'm missing something. Riley's mom hates Alex because of her husband having an affair? Maybe I'm not recalling something that was mentioned before... so is it because Alex has the same name as one of those people? Or because one of the others are also in the music industry? ... I'm kind of lost. XD Unless you just chose not to go into detail with it?
But anyway, what a secret to keep from Riley, wow. And very unfair to Alex, even though I'm still confused on how any of that relates to them, hating him. XD
A few minor things:
“That’s why we’re here. To take care of her.” Riley’s mother reply with a scowl on her face.
I think you would want "replied" instead of "reply."
The dogs immediately stood up and followed here, but it was unsure if they were able to join her.
Was it supposed to be "her" instead of "here"? "Here" could potentially make sense there too, though. XD lol.
So, that means either or their names, anybody that looks like them, sounds, whatever you can think of.
The beginning of this sentence confused me. "either or their names"....? lol, perhaps this also relates to my confusion on not understanding why there's hate for Alex. XD Full circle. XD
Other than my confusion, lol, thought it was a great update. Very intense, and we're finally getting some answers. :)

This was all about the music and the vibrations. Next chapter will be about the parents, don't worry I haven't forgotten. I have a whole idea planned out, but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to write it before I leave, so that might take another four weeks. I still have one other story to update before I do leave, so that's my priority right now.

I never really thought about the deaf people driving thing. I wouldn't think to question it; obviously it's possible. But it does bring up a point... do you need your hearing for driving? Not really. XD I just never really thought of it though. Jack bringing it up though was just so something I could easily picture though, with him doing, lol.
But yay to you bringing in the music element! You did a great job with description there; it played out just as I was envisioning it would. :)
lol, now I'm just wondering, with that transition, how things ended up working out with her parents and them detesting Alex. But maybe that's the point with this, just going back to the one-shots thing.
I'm glad to see you've garnered some interest below for a co-writer. :D I would try but I'm still trying to pick up the motivation to write again; I think I need to try writing something of my own first, and then I'll be motivated with other projects. It's just taking me some time though. :/
