Angel in Shining Armor
Summary
Alex Gaskarth doesn't have the easiest life. Between the bullies at school and his father and step-mother, Alex can never catch a break. As depression takes over, Alex believes that the only way the pain and suffering will conclude is if he takes his own life away. However, as he puts the gun to his head and puts the note beside his lap, someone places their hand on the gun to stop the young teen from doing the wrong thing. That person was Alex's guardian angel, Jack Barakat.

Alexander "Alex" Gaskarth
17 years old. Alex is a high school student who is constantly bullied for their sexuality, appearance, and differences among the other students. Alex deals with abuse from both his father and step-mother. Alex, when attempting to end his life, is greeted by his newest companion, his guardian angel, Jack Barakat.
Jack Barakat
Doesn't have an age. Jack has been Alex's guardian angel since he was a baby. Jack has protected Alex from a ton of boo boos, broken bones, broken hearts, etc. When Alex, at age 17, believes that the only way out of his problems is to kill himself, Jack believes that it is the perfect time to reveal himself to Alex. Jack's objective: to keep Alex from hurting himself anymore while also giving Alex the life he deserves.
