I guess I’ll hang out all by myself here on Team Alex island. Clearly he’s behaving this way because he’s hurt!! Holly/Jasey shows up after disappearing for two years, flaunting her (not so anymore) fake relationship with John at him. He still loves her and thinks she’s over him so, of course he’s going to jump at the chance to hook up with any girl he can to try and ease that pain - which isn’t right but he’s not a total asshole here. At least he’s being honest! She’s the one lying to everyone!! *deep breath*

This is like Ross and Rachel!! NO! Fucking playing with each other's feelings while they are with somebody else. Hmmmm... Nope. Not having any of this. Alex is an asshole. Not a 'he's been hurt' asshole. No, he's a plain asshole that thinks he can get away with it all because 'we broke up and you shouldn't care because we broke up' while he's doing it all for his own selfish reasons. He's doing it all because he knows it will hurt Holly. Ugh. I can't deal with this.

I can feel the drama coming back into Holly's (Jacey's?) life. Like prequel drama, not like the drama we've had so far in this installment.

Definitely. It makes it better when you just let the story flow into whatever direction. Like, I try to structure, but the characters get what they want (in the most dramatic way possible, of course)!

I feel you... I feel you. The number of times I've completely strayed away from my original plan because I got distracted while writing. This whole Holly/John thing must be one of the better 'mistakes', though.

I swear, this started out as a nice straightforward story where Holly only had feelings for Alex, then very quickly turned into feelings for John and... well, it all just got away from me. :')

Well, I feel like many people who read my stories probably read yours too. They'd definitely be rooting for Alex on this one. John just seems like the unpopular opinion cause, well, he isn't in All Time Low. I mean... 'alltimelowfanfiction.com'. Seems pretty straightforward to me. It's why I like throwing people curve balls ;)

It would be very anti-climatic if it ends up being neither.
However, it seems like most people want her to end up with Alex. You've just gotta convince me now (without turning John into an asshole).

I told you, I haven't decided who she ends up with yet!! I've got a couple of ideas about how things are going to go down and who she ends up with (possibly neither, just saying), but I cannot promise she doesn't jump into bed with Alex at some point.

Nah. Right now Holly and Alex are definitely just friends. 100% they're not going to randomly jump into bed together. Promise.

I know exactly how you could incorporate it, though. First have her get together with one of the guys, have them be 'on a break' and then have her try to find conselation with the other and they end up hooking up. I totally see it happening as Holly being together with Alex and then he does some stupid shit and she hooks up with John. Although, that would mean Alex and Holly were together again, and I'm not up for that right now. My mind isn't in the right place.

I literally just started watching Friends two months ago for the first time, and Ross literally annoys the crap out of me. So glad you feel the same way!

Oh, I'm definitely with you on that. They were specifically on a break, but she's allowed to be annoyed that he just slept with some random girl a day later and then tried to hide it. And I don't even know how I could incorporate it! :')
