A couple weeks and an increase in my medication later, All Time Low was putting the final touches on Last Young Renegade which the boys were quite proud of and I seemed better after being on a higher dosage of meds. Two weeks ago was so bizarre because I went from being exhausted to happy to getting upset in less than five minutes. Now, there’s something terribly wrong about that, but hey, I’m good and I think it’s the right time to talk about my feelings on the tracks I heard when I was at the studio. I got off work earlier than than usual which was seven, so that would give me plenty of time to talk to Alex before I headed to bed. Unlocking the door, I could smell something wonderful cooking in the oven and saw him in the kitchen looking like a chef. I smiled and shut the door behind me. He looked so fucking hot, it was ridiculous and I loved it.

“Hey, hot stuff.” I greeted as I took my shoes off.

“Hey. Have a good day?” he said walking over to me.

“Yep. How was yours?” I said, wrapping my arms around his neck.

“Good. I missed you, too.”

“I missed you, too. So, whatcha cooking? It smells heavenly.”

“Chicken marsala. Your specialty. I hope I made it right.” he said with his arms around my waist.

“I’m sure it’ll be delicious. Is it done yet?”

“Five minutes.”

“Ok. I’m gonna go change out of these clothes and come right back.”

He nodded. I came back in semicasual clothes and saw him pull out the chicken.

“Please go sit. I’ll be there in a couple minutes.”

I walked into the dining room and sat down. The table was set just like a restaurant, aside from the dinner plates of course; there were even wine glasses. He came in just like a server and gently sat down my dinner before going back to get his.

"Would you like some wine, miss?"

"I'd love some. Thank you."

I didn't dare take a bite till he sat down with his own food.

"This looks really delicious."

"Thank you."

I cut a piece and put it in my mouth.

"How is it?' he asked as I chewed.

"Amazing. You cooked it just right."

"Don't lie to me. If it isn't-"

"Stop. I'm a sous chef. I don't lie about how food tastes or looks."

"Well, that's great to hear. I appreciate the feedback."

He cut his dinner and took a bite.

"You are right. It's so fucking good."

I laughed.

"So, when did you decide to make such a wonderful dinner?"

"This morning before you even left for work. I wanted to surprise you."

"It's a fantastic surprise. I absolutely love it."

"I've been meaning to do something like this for the post month or so, but life has been hectic."

"You're very sweet for doing this. I love you."

"I love you, too. You deserve this."

I felt incredibly loved and appreciated as soon I walked in the door, but especially now as we're eating in the rarely used dining room.

"Can we uh- talk about those tracks I heard when I was at the studio? It never seems to happen."

"Of course. I'd love to hear whatever you have to say about them."

I smiled and nodded.

"Is there dessert, by any chance?" I asked after dinner.

"In the fridge, I bought cheesecake."

"Strawberry?"

I raised an eyebrow.

"Only the best for my beautiful fiancee."

He's such a hopeless romantic.

He went into the kitchen and got each of us a slice.

"Thank you for dessert. It's delicious."

"My pleasure."

Following dessert, Alex refused to let me clean up which I secretly appreciated; I hate cleaning up after a meal and proceeded to walk into our bedroom instead.

"Abby?" I heard from the dining room.

"Bedroom!"

I changed into a tank and a pair of shorts and sat up with my head against the hall and my legs were outstretched and crossed my legs.

"Hey." he said.

"Have I ever told you how much I love your legs?"

I laughed.

"Probably. Glad you love them."

"I'm gonna change."

Once he did, he crawled into bed and sat next to me.

"Can we start this long-awaited conversation?" I asked.

"Yep. What do you wanna start with?"

"I wanna start with Dirty Laundry. It gave me goosebumps. I thought of myself and us with some of the lyrics."

He continued to look at me; he was clearly interested in my feedback.

"Really? Like what?"

"The first verse and the first chorus. I just couldn't help but think about myself and us. You know?"

"I thought of that, too. I love those lyrics and that song."

"So do I. Next song. Nightmares. It was purely haunting. My actual nightmares I’ve had since I was raped and my PTSD came to the forefront.”

I became teary. He pulled me closer and kissed the top off of my head.

“If you don’t want to continue, that’s okay.”

“No. It’s fine. I did love Last Young Renegade. It was an upbeat song and wonderful.”

I could feel myself smiling again. I turned around and kissed him, crawling into his lap. He hungrily kissed me back.

“Are we done with this conversation?” he asked.

“Definitely.”

He smirked and placed his lips back on mine again.

Okay, so wow... it's been a minute. First of all, thank you for responding to my last comment. I promise that the reason my feedback took so long is simply because I've just had a hectic life lately, and so I've had little time to read.
I'm glad my feedback is helpful.
And since it's been a minute, this took me forever to catch up on, and now that I have.. it's over! :O But there's gonna be a sequel, so yay! I assume I'll get some sort of notification for that, but I'm not entirely sure... if you don't see me leave feedback within a week, feel free to let me know it's posted.
Alex and Abby are so cute together. :') And I can't believe Miranda and Jack are gonna have a baby. :O That threw me for a loop when you added that in. And it was interesting to see how she coped with him being on tour, since I was wondering how that would go... it went better than I thought it would. :) That's a good thing, though.
And then that brief fight with her mom, wow. But I'm glad they made up. And I'm glad Abby got the wedding she was hoping for. :)
Interested in seeing what you have happen in the sequel. I really enjoyed this story. I loved how strong Alex and Abby's relationship is; through thick and thin they were there for one another. <3
Anyway, yeah, I'll be around to read the sequel... hopefully it doesn't take me as long again to leave feedback. Finally caught up though. And again, appreciate you getting back to me after the last comment.
Looking forward to the sequel!

It’s sweet how patient Alex is with her when she falls in and out of her meltdowns. I just hope she can keep it together long enough while he’s away. :)

@Nanook
I do read your commentary and I truly appreciate it. With multiple stories I've written on Mibba, I hardly get any comments, so thank you! They're quite helpful! Now, where do I start? Oh! I've never been sure on the correct spelling of fiancee and I wasn't even thinking about his actual anniversary which I just checked is on the 9th, so that was a happy coincidence. And when I accidentally responded to another reader, I did actually mean to respond to you. I apologize.

Hmm... I've lost track on what update my comment was last on? lol, sorry for the delay in feedback, but I'm caught up finally!
lol, the Ravens vs. Redskins debate. My mom loves the Redskins, and when she wore one of their shirts in Baltimore, she was practically annihilated. XD Like oh my God, so much hatred was thrown. XD Like don't do that unless you want a death sentence. LMAO.
And note, when calling Alex her fiancé, it would be with one e, not two. However, if you refer to Abby as his fiancée, that's when there's two. It's a rule in French with masculine/feminine. With males, it's one e, and then females have the second. Who knew my French minor would ever come in handy? XD
Anyway, great job with all of the updates! It was cute how she surprised him with his parents on his birthday. :) And I'm trying to recall, but is Alex's real anniversary on the 23rd? Just found it ironic that you also chose April. Although I'm having trouble recalling if that's the exact day... and I'm too lazy to look it up tbh. XD
Interested in seeing more!
Please respond to this comment letting me know you're actually seeing my feedback? I'm not one to usually complain about this sort of thing, but I just kind of find it a bit insulting when I don't hear back from the author, especially when they're updating regularly. You don't have to respond to me every time, I know that can get a bit redundant, but it's just... I've asked questions occasionally, or made comments that could have had a response... and I just feel like my feedback is going ignored. I'm sure that's not the case, but this will also keep me commenting in the future. It'll just help reassure I'm not leaving comments just for nothing. And the one time you commented, actually technically @ responded to another reader, and I'm still not sure if that was a mistake or if you literally just ignored me.
I just like to know if my comments are helpful or not. If they're not, I'll stop commenting or if I still don't hear back, I can't guarantee my feedback from now on with this story.

Aw, haha, this was a cute update. :)
I loved how they were able to talk about the future and agree on it. That just shows how perfect they are as a couple.
And the fight for candy? SAME. Especially if it's the freaking good stuff, I mean are you kidding? Those bags are so expensive, you have to try to keep some! XD
But yeah, enjoyed the new chapter and can't wait for more! :)
P.S.- A thought that just occurred to me: was Alex dressed up in a costume too? Or just Abby? I was just wondering... his costume wasn't mentioned, but they took a picture together, so it makes me wonder if he did have one on in that case...
