Bones Exposed

I heard my alarm go off telling me I had to drag my sorry ass out of bed and get ready for work. "It's too early to hear the fucking thing screaming at me." Jack grumbled and moved away from me taking the covers with him. I sighed and rolled out of bed and turning the alarm off. I grabbed a towel and walked to mine and Jacks bathroom and had a shower and looked too see if this hickie has disappeared or at least faded which it hadn't. "I'm gonna kill you Jack." I muttered and myself and walked out and got ready for work. I was just putting my tie on when the door opened and Lily came in and climbed on the bed and sat next to me. "Morning sweetie." I said quietly. "Morning daddy." She yawned. "Jack wake up." I said and slapped his arm. Jack opened one eye and looked at me. "What? I was having a good dream." He yawned. "Be downstairs in 15 minutes because that's when I have to leave." I said and picked Lily up and went downstairs. "What do you want for breakfast then?" I asked Lily and sat her in a chair. "Toast." She said. "Want papa to make you a scrambled egg with that?" I asked and she nodded. Jack came down the stairs and stole my coffee I had made for him learning the hard way for 4 years that Jack would steal my coffee. "Lily would like you to make her scrambled egg on toast." I said and pulled my shoes on. "On it." Jack said and got 3 eggs. "I have to go, see you later." I said and kissed Jack. "Take away or do you want me to cook?" Jack asked. "Cook me something nice." I smiled and kissed him again and went over to Lily who was watching some kid show she liked. "See you later Lil." I said and kissed the top of her head. "Bye bye daddy." She said and waved at me. "Bye Lil. See you later Jack!" I said and walked out the door.
I got to the school I worked at and walked towards the staff room while carrying and protecting my Starbucks coffee I got on the way. I walked in the staff room and there was a couple of people chilling before school actually started. "Morning Alex." Someone called Bethan said. "Morning." I grumbled and sat in my normal seat. "Fucking hell Alex who attacked you over the weekend?" Someone called Josh asked and sat next to me. "My husband." I said and sent Jack a text telling him he's dead when I come home. "Your gonna get the shit ripped out of you by the kids today." Josh said. "Bethan, please tell me you have your make up on you." I said and looked at her. "For once I do. Want me to cover it for you?" She chuckled. "You would be a live safer and I'll buy you Starbucks for a week!" I said and she walked over and sat on the arm of my chair. "I think it should be two weeks and you saying to your darling husband that your not some cheap slut." She chuckled. "Fine two weeks of Starbucks. Serious words will be spoken tonight." I chuxkled. Then the head walked in. "I'm not gonna ask." She chuxkled and walked over to the coffee machine. "Alex and Jack must of had a good time the other night." Josh chuckled. "You stalking us now?" I asked and looked at him. "Might of seen you two out the other day." He said. "Can't go anywhere." I muttered and Bethan moved. "There, I did the best I could do." She said and walked back over to where she was sitting. "Your a life saver!" I said. She smiled and got her stuff and walked out. I looked at the time and got my stuff and slowly dragged myself to my classroom. I was sorting myself out by the time my first class walked in which was a bunch of first years. "So who can tell me the best musicians around then." I said and looked at everyone. I then had bands and musicians shouted at me. "We'll go round the class, starting with Adam." I said and looked at the student. We got to some girl. "Justin Beiber." She said. "Ew, my 4 year old has better taste in music." I said and the class chuckled. "But he's really good!" The girl aruged. "Na, Blink-182 and Greenday are really good. He's just plain old shit." I said. "In fact he's that bad I'm not even gonna bother writing his name on the board." I said. By the time we had finished and me ripping the shit out of some bands and that the Bell had gone and they all bailed out and my next class walked in.
This was a really small class and it only had 5 people in it as they where taking music as part of their exams. They was also the class I got on really well with. "Got a nice hickie going there Sir." A student called Noah said. "Blame the husband, I'm going to." I said. He chuckled and grabbed a guitar and sat down. I looked at my phone and Jack had texted me. 'Can Lily spend the rest of the day with you? Something has come up.' It said. 'Sure.' I replied. 10 minutes later I got another text from him. 'At the office.' It said. "You guys going to be okay while I go and get Lily?" I asked and they all said yes. I walked towards the office and Lily ran over to me and I picked her up. "Jack what's going on?" I asked and took the bag off him. "It's nothing bad, I just can't have Lil with me." He said. "Then it has to be bad then." I said. "It's not bad, we'll talk about it later. Love you." He said and kissed me and walked out the office. "Wanna go and see everyone then?" I asked since Lily was no stranger to spending the day at school with me. "Yeah." She said and I put her down and she caught hold of my hand and we walked to my class. "Hey guys look who's come to say hello." I said as this class seemed to really like Lily and Lily liked them. There was only one girl in this class called Jennifer and Lily really liked her. "Don't be annoying Lily." I said and went back to what I was doing while keeping an eye on Lily. It was lunch and me and Lilly went to the cafe. "Want do you want?" I asked and picked her up. "Chips." She said and pointed to the chips. "Want to share a sandwich and chips with me then?" I asked and she nodded while messing with my hair as a comfort thing she did. We got round to the sandwiches. "What do you want?" I asked. "Ham and cheese." She said and I got the sandwich and I ticked my name off since I got free meals. I put Lily down and she carried the sandwich while she grabbed my hand and we walked to the staff room. We walked in and Lily knew which seat was mine and sat in it. I went over and got another plate. "You gonna sit on the arm for me?" I asked and she nodded and sat on the arm while I put a hand full of chips on her plate and half a sandwich. "Ketchup." She said and looked at me. "Go and ask Josh and see if he'll let you have some." I said and she went walking over to Josh. "Alex why is your daughter in school?" The head asked. "Jack had something come up and he couldnt take Lil with him so she's spending the day with me." I said. "She's grown since I last saw her." She said as Lily walked back over. "Can I sit on your lap?" Lily asked and I put my plate on the arm of the chair and took her plate of her and she climbed up and sat on my lap. "Tell Jenna who your favorite band is." I said to Lily. "Daddy's band." Lily smiled. Jenna chuckled. "Taught her well I see then." She said. "Duh, she has better music taste than most of the students." I chuckled and messed with Lily's hair. "Daddy I want a drink." Lily said and turned to face me. I reached for her bag and pulled out a carton of juice. "Thank you." She said quietly and drunk her drink. We spent the rest of lunch having cuddles. The rest of the day dragged and me and Lily went home after school had finished.
We got home and Jacks car was in. We got out and Lily went running inside. I walked in and Jack was putting Lily on the ground. He walked towards me. "Don't want to fucking hear it Jack." I said quietly and walked towards the kitchen and got myself a drink. I felt a pair of arms wrap round my waist. "Seriously Jack, I'm not in the fucking mood." I said seriously. Jack turned me round and looked at me. "I'm sorry I just dumped her on you today while you was working." He said quietly. "I said I don't want to hear it Jack." I spat. Jack let me go and turned round and picked up the flowers on the table and handed them too me. I smiled and took them from him. I couldn't stay mad at him for long. I sniffed them and smiled and then sneezed which made Jack chuckle. "My favourites." I said quietly and looked at him. Jack smiled. I kissed him and went looking for something to put the flowers in. "I also managed to get a table at our favorite restaurant." He said. I looked at him. "Am I forgetting some special event or something?" I asked. "Nope, I just wanted some me and you time." He said. I smiled. "Who's going to look after Lil?" I asked. "I've managed to get Zack to come over and baby sit for us. All we have to do is get changed and put her to bed." Jack said. I smiled and kissed him. "Well I defently can't stay mad at you now." I said and hugged him. Jack chuckled. "Go and sit down I have everything under control here." He said and kissed me and pushed me towards the sitting room. I sat on the sofa and picked up Jacks guitar and quietly started to play it while Lily was happy playing with her toys. Lily was in bed and Zack was sat on the sofa watching something on Netflix while me and Jack went out. "This is nice." I smiled and wrapped my legs round Jacks legs. "Yeah it is." Jack said in agreement. "Is everything okay Jack?" I asked quietly. "Everything is fine Alex." He smiled and took a mouthful of drink. "You sure? Because you hardly ever dump Lily of at school." I said. "I'm sure Lex, I just had to sort some things out." He smiled. I smiled but something wasn't right and he was keeping something from me. By the time we got back it was late and Zack was asleep on the sofa. "Shell we just leave him?" I whispered to Jack who had his arms wrapped round my waist and nipping my neck. Jack let me go and walked over to Zack and put a blanket over him and walked back over to me and pulled me hard towards him and kissed me hard. "Jack its late and I have work in the morning." I said between kisses. "Fuck that, I'll call in for you tommorow and say your ill." Jack said and looked at me. I smiled and kissed him again and we went upstairs.
