Perfect Boyfriend

Nyssa's Memory:
"I hope I can do this," I mumble. I'm at the park where there's little grass, mainly concrete, and a big lake in the middle. The lake doesn't have a way to walk into it easily, its deep as soon as you step foot in it. But the only reason I'm around it is because some people took my stuff and made me ride their skateboard by the lake to get my stuff back. We had orientation yesterday, and they thought it was fun to bully me. I guess it will never stop. But at least I made a friend. Claire seems really nice. I get on the skateboard, "come on! Do it already!" "Okay, you can do this Nyssa," I mumble. I keep one foot on the board and use my other to push off. I quickly put my foot on the board, but I quickly lose my balance. I end up falling right into the lake. I struggle to keep my head out of the water, I hear them laugh. I keep struggling to stay up, "Nyssa!!," I hear someone yell. I hear a splash next to me and someone grabs me. "I got you Nyssa." They swim me over to the edge and I hold onto the edge. "Nyssa, you're okay now." I turn my head and see Jack. I can't believe he just jumped in and saved me.

"You need to stop letting people bully you Nyssa." "I'm trying Jack," I end up coughing the last word. He gets out first and then pulls me out. "Nyssa!," I hear someone yell. I look up and see Claire looking at me worried. "What happened!?" "She lost her balance on a skateboard and fell in." "Oh no Nyssa... I heard some people talking about a girl they're bulling, when they described you I ran right over. I wish I got here sooner." "Thanks Claire." "Come on Nyssa, lets go back to our room."

*Present Day*
Nyssa's POV:
I end up borrowing a skateboard from Zack and brought it to the park. The best place to learn is the place where she wants me to do it. "You can do this Nyssa." This time though I'm far away from the lake. I put my foot on the board and then I feel to hands grab me. "Wha-" I turn and see Jack. "I'm not about to let you ride this board without protection." He puts a helmet on me and then puts on knee pads and elbow pads on me. "Why are you doing this Jack?" "I don't want to see you get hurt. I don't get why you're doing this, but I want to help you." "Thanks Jack..." "Now come on, get on that board. The only way you're going to learn is getting on that board and I help you learn." I stand on the board and he holds my hands. "I'm just going to start off and pull you along, letting you get used to the feeling of being on a board." I nod and he pulls me along.

Claire's POV:
I don't get why Nyssa agreed to this, I know this is one of her worst fears, and I'm surprised she took the deal. "Hello beautiful," I hear Alex say as he wraps his arm around me. I let out a sigh, it was fun at first but now it's just annoying. He leans in to kiss me but I put my hand over his mouth. He looks at me confused and I move my hand. "Why did you reject my kiss?" "I don't feel like kissing right now." And he somehow knew I would be at my favorite place to eat. He's so weird. "How did you find me Alex?" "I just had a feeling that you would be here. I think you don't like eating alone." I scoot away from him, how would he know that..? "Whatever." "What would you like to do next? Would you want to go to the mall?" "Now you're saying something that Nyssa would do, not me." Sometimes he suggests things that only Nyssa likes doing. Like he asked me if I wanted to learn a K-pop dance. "I just want to be alone right now." "Anything you want darling." "Please don't call me that." "What would you like to be called?" "Claire. My name." "Claire, I love it." I roll my eyes and look back down at my phone. "Please leave Alex. Besides, what's the off chance you'll go back to Nyssa once she kisses you?" "I know she won't win." "Well so do I, but still." I know how little of a chance Nyssa has at this. That's why I picked it. But I didn't know she would seriously do this. Let's just see what happens at the end of the week.
