Perfect Boyfriend

Jack's POV:
By the looks of it, Alex never came home. He never even called Nyssa. I brought Nyssa back to my place last night, part of me didn't want her around Alex if he was the cause of her panic attack. "Alex..," I hear her mumble. The only reason I left her side was to get changed. It took me a while to get her to sleep. I rub my fingers through her hair, "Nyssa, I hate seeing you like this. I just wish I know what caused your panic attack." "Alex.. Alex!" She quickly wakes up and sits up fast whiel breathing hard. "Nyssa." I gently grab her shoulders and she jumps at my touch. She looks at me, panic in her eyes. "Nyssa, it's okay." "Wh-why am I here!?" "You had a panic attack last night and I brought you to my place so I could be by your side." I pull her close and have her head rest on my chest. "Alex, he-he, Alex," she mumbles. I can't ask her now what happened. It clearly deals with Alex. I swear I'm going to punch him in the face if he was the cause of it. She grips my shirt and I feel her shake a bit. I hear her sob and I rub her back. The best thing for me to do is stay by Nyssa's side, not question her, and just be there for her.

*The next day*
Nyssa's POV:
I rub my eyes with my fingers and let my glasses drop back onto the edge of my nose. I was at Jack's all day yesterday, I couldn't tell him what happened. I don't want to believe what I saw. But it happened. I know Alex never came home, and he never called me. I'm really worried. I walk into the union and see Alex standing in the middle with a bouquet. It looks like he's waiting for someone. I run up to him, "what are doing Alex." "Huh? Oh, just waiting for my girlfriend." "Um, but I'm standing right here." "Claire!," he yells and smiles. I see Claire and he runs over to her. I'm trying my hardest to stay calm. I'm really trying. He called Claire his girlfriend. "Nyssa, what's going-" I hear someone say. Claire has an annoyed face, grabs Alex's arm and pulls him along out of the union. I start losing my balance and the person catches me. "Nyssa, Nyssa look at me." I look up and I see Zack. "Shit, Nyssa I'm calling Jack. But I need you to come with me first." He puts my arm around him and walks me out, I don't even know where we're going.

We walk for a bit until we reach the fountain and has me sit down on the grass. "Jack, I'm with Nyssa. It's better if you just come meet us. What do you me- The reason why I'm at your school doesn't matter. Just meet us at the fountain. Nyssa, Nyssa look up at me." I slowly look up at him, my breaths are fast and hard. I didn't notice that Zack sat down, he lifts my head and rests it in his lap. "Just look at me Nyssa, okay. I don't know what happened, but I don't want you to go to that place." "Alex, he-he-" "Don't talk about Alex. Just look at me, try to calm down." "Zack!," I hear someone yell. "What the hell happened!?" "I saw Alex run up to another girl and gave her a bouquet." "That mother fucker, I swear I'm going to kill him." "What happened?" "I don't know, but the other night she had a really bad panic attack." I just listened to them talk, I'm trying not to go to that place. "Jack," I cry. "It's okay Nyssa, I'm here." I see his face, he gently holds my face. "Just look at me Nyssa, Zack, get her iPod." I feel Zack put my earbuds in my ears and music starts playing.

Claire's POV:
Alex runs up to me with a big smile and a bouquet. I look past him and see Nyssa with Zack behind her. I grab his arm and pull him out of the union with me. "Alex, what are you doing?" "I wanted to give a bouquet to my girlfriend." "I'm not your girlfriend." He annoyed the crap out of me yesterday. And the night before was weird. He refused to be with me, and then after I kissed him he changed. I only wanted to buy him as a host to annoy him and Nyssa. I didn't mean this to happen. He's like a puppy. "Thanks for the bouquet, but shouldn't you be getting back to Nyssa now?" "What are you talking about, you're my girlfriend." "I am not." He pulls me close and I stare up at him shocked. "I'm your perfect boyfriend, no one else's." I push on his chest and he lets go of me. I wonder if that's how Nyssa felt when Alex did that to her. "I'm only loyal to you." "If you are, then prove it." It's really weird how fast Alex changed.

Nyssa's POV:
"Hello!," I hear Rian yell. He opens my door but I don't look at him. I'm sitting on the floor while hugging my legs. "Nyssa, what's wrong?" "Something's wrong with Alex..." "What do you mean?" "He... He left me..." "But that's impossible!" "Well he did..." "He's programmed to stay loyal to you as long you kissed him or did it with him." I let my head hang, this is all of my fault. If I had just let Alex kiss me a long time ago I wouldn't be in this mess. "I'm guessing that you didn't kiss him." "You guessed right," I groan. "Then kiss him, that's all you have to do." "It's not that simple, I remember thing I requested. For him to stay loyal to his girlfriend. Not to just me. He's going to stay loyal to Claire." I don't know how she was able to trick him like that, but she did. Now he's programmed to her. "Nyssa, why couldn't you have just fucked Alex!!" I stare at him shocked and slap him hard on his face. I keep hitting him, "okay okay stop!!" "You didn't tell me if I didn't kiss him or didn't do it with him that this would happen!!! This is partially your fault!!" "I kept telling you to do it with him!" "That's it!!"

I quickly move, push him onto his back and sit on him. I grab the front of his shirt and pull him up a bit. "You're going to help me fix this!!" "Okay okay!! Just please get off of me!! I have something to tell you!!" I let go of his shirt and get off of him. He sits up and rubs his arms. "You hit really hard.." "Just tell me!" "Well, we noticed something different about Alex. It's like he's gaining memories which doesn't make since-" "Wait, he's gaining memories?" "That's what it seems. Which is unusual." Memories... I helped Alex on learning what memories are and to help him make some... Did he start gaining memories that day..? "So what does that mean?" "It means there's a part of him that still remembers you. You just have to kiss him and bring them back, then he'll be set back to you. But you have to do it with him one day to avoid all of this again. The only reason this will work is just because he has memories of you." "So you're saying, I just have to kiss him, and that's it." "Yes." I look away from him and hold my head.

I didn't picture my first kiss this way.

*Next Day*
"Alex!," I yell. He's walking with Claire, as much as it hurts I have to try. I run up to him and try to throw my arms around him, but he steps away and I land on the ground. Okay, that was a dumb move. "Let me help you up Nyssa," I look up and see Jack. I grab his hand and he pulls me up. "What were you trying to do Nyssa?," Claire says. "Um. Nothing." "She was trying to kiss me." "Why would you do that?" I look down and push my glasses up. "What the fuck are you doing Alex," Jack snaps. "And why are you pissed at me Jack?" "You fucking," I grab Jack's shirt and he stops. "Why were you trying to kiss Alex, Nyssa?" "I... Uh..." "Look at me Nyssa." I slowly look up at her, I can't believe of all people, it had to be her that resets Alex. "How about this, if you want to kiss Alex so badly, lets make a deal." "What kind of deal?" "Hm... Oh. I got it," she says it with a grin.

"You have to learn how to skate board or roller skate. By the big lake." I stare at her shocked and I feel myself fall backwards but Jack catches me. "Claire, you know what-" "I know what happened a couple of years ago there. But if Nyssa really wants to kiss Alex, this is the only way that I'll let her. You have a week." "That's not enough time for her." "She just has to be able to ride it for a minute. If she can't do that, the deal is off." "And you never talk to me again Nyssa," Alex speaks up. I'm trying to stay clam, but this is the only way that I can kiss Alex.
