Perfect Boyfriend

Nyssa's POV:
"Nyssa, Nyssa wake up." I rub my eyes and sit up, I reach out for my glasses and I feel Alex put them on me. "What time is it?" "Don't worry, if you need to finish your homework, you have enough time to do so before it's due." I lean against the head board and let out a long sigh. I somewhat remember last night. "Nyssa, do you remember anything?" "I think so... I remember eating and doing homework at the bar, and then I got really tired and I think I fell asleep." "Do you remember anything else?" "I think you were talking to me..?" Alex sits down in front of me and I cross my legs so that he could be closer. "Nyssa... I have to work one more night. And I promise that's it. I'm going back to the bar after tonight and work with you." "Why do you have to work one more night?" "Someone booked me yesterday and they paid in advance. My manager made a deal with me if I do this tonight, I can leave." He grabs my hands and stares in my eyes. "Nyssa, I'm so sorry of the pain that I caused you." "You didn't cau-" "I caused you and Jack to fight. I've been causing you to stay up late, sleep during the day, and get behind on homework. That's not what a perfect boyfriend does. I want to be your perfect boyfriend." "Alex.." He leans in and gently touches the side of my face. "Alex.. I'm not..." "I understand." He kisses my cheek and I close my eyes.

"It's just for one more night. I promise." "I know, I understand the deal. It's not a problem." He smiles, "thank you for understanding Nyssa." I smile back and kiss his cheek. "Maybe soon I'll kiss you for real." "I hope so Nyssa, I really want to kiss you." "I know you do Alex," I laugh a bit and he laughs too.

Alex's POV:
"Miss, here's your host for the night," manager says. The girl turns around and smiles at me. I try to back away but she grabs my arm. "That's not how a host should look at his guest," Claire says with a smile. "What are you doing here?" "Isn't it obvious? I wanted to be entertained by a handsome man tonight, and I chose you." I can't push her away, she paid in advanced for me. And in order to keep my deal with the manager, I have to do this. "Come with me then." I hold my arm out for her and she happily takes it. I walk her over to my usual couch and we sit down where there's already drinks and snacks. She gets to close and I scoot away from her. "Alex, what are you doing?" She grabs my waist and scoots closer to me. "Can you poor my a drink please?" "Yes miss."

Nyssa's POV:
"He's still working there!?," Jack snaps. "Jack don't!" I grab his arm to stop him. "Jack don't do this! He had to make a deal with his manager!" "What kind of deal!?" "Someone paid for him advance and they can't turn her away! He works tonight and that's it! He can leave! He promised me!" "I want to hear it from him!" I run in front of him and spread my arms out. "Jack, please. Don't do this. I trust him enough, that's why I'm not there." Jack and I just got off work and questioned me about Alex. "Jack, please don't do this." He looks down at me, I can't tell what he's thinking or feeling. "Please." He sighs and looks away. "He better keep his promise." "Thank you. Thank you so much Jack." I grab my stuff and run off, Alex should be getting off soon. By the time I get there, he should be almost done.

Alex's POV:
"Well, thank you for walking me out," Claire purrs. "Can you let go of my arm already? Your night is over." "Oh no, I paid to have you till 2 am, I have 5 minutes left." I let out a sigh and look away from her. "Oh come on Alex. Don't be like that." "Why would you do this to Nyssa?" "She clearly didn't tell you what happened. We're no longer friends." Their not friends anymore? When did this happen? "Why would that happen?" "Because I hate her, that's why." "How can you hate her Claire? She's always there for you." "God, what do you even see in her? She's such a loser." "Don't talk about my girlfriend like that." I try to move my arm away but she keeps her hold. "Claire-" "Oh shut up Alex and be a good host." She grabs my hair and forces my head down. Before I could move my head away she kisses me. My system starts changing quickly.

Nyssa's POV:
I finally reach the club, I bend over and rest my hands on my knees. I'm getting a lot of exercise of just run here every night. I look up and my heart drops. Alex and Claire are kissing. They slowly pull away and he smiles at her and kisses her again, a bit more rough this time. "Alex!" They stop kissing and look at me. But it's like he doesn't even recognize me. Claire grins at me and keeps her hold on him. "Do you want to get some food Alex? I know a place that's open late." "Anything for you darling." They walk off, I drop to my knees, I can hear my heart beating in my ears. My breathing quickens and I grab the front of my shirt. "Shut up voice, shut up!," I yell. I hit my head, I start crying and kneel over, having my head touch the ground. "Nyssa!!," I hear someone yell. I feel someone grab me and I try to move away from them. "Nyssa, it's me. Jack."

Jack's POV:
Just to be sure that Alex kept his word I followed Nyssa to the club. But when I got here I saw Nyssa on the ground and hitting her head with her fist. I knew right away that she was having a panic attack. "Nyssa, please listen to me. It's going to be okay. I promise." She doesn't answer, she just continues to quickly breathe heavy and tries to hit herself again. I grab her hand and she struggles to move her arm. I sit her up and hold her close. "Nyssa, I don't know what caused this. But I promise that I won't leave your side." Sometimes when something happens that she doesn't understand or has never dealt with before, she starts having thoughts of the worse thing possible and it causes her to be like this. I blame her Dyspraxia for this, it takes her longer to understand certain things and she freaks out in unknown situations. I gently rock her and sing to her. This is the only way I know how to calm her down. When she calms down enough I get her in a position and pick her up so that she's laying in my arms.

"I don't know what happened Nyssa, but I'm not leaving your side tonight. I promise." I look around and I don't see Alex anywhere. This panic attack has to deal with Alex. But what happened?
