Perfect Boyfriend

Nyssa's POV:
"Nyssa. Nyssa!" I jump and quickly sit up. "Nyssa, you fell asleep again," Jack tells me. "Oh. Sorry. I didn't realize that I did." "You've been falling asleep in class and you're tired at work. What's going on?" "It's nothing, I promise." He touches my forehead, "well you don't have a fever." "I promise I'm not sick. I've just been busy all week." I can't tell Jack what I've really been doing. I go to the host club and keep an eye on Alex to make sure that he doesn't kiss other girls. More like other girls kiss him. Those women are so touchy...

"What host would you like tonight?" "I don't want a host, I would just like to sit at the bar." "Follow me." I follow the guy into the club, it's very chill in here. He pulls out a stool for me and I take a seat. "This is Randolph, he'll be your bar tender tonight." "Thank you." I see Alex and I watch him flirt with the girl he's entertaining. "Miss? Miss." "Huh?" I look back at the guy, why are all of these guys handsome!? "What would you like to drink?" "Um... a virgin Bloody Mary." He nods and starts making my drink. I watch how he works, sometimes I'm clumsy at work and drop things or spill drinks. "Do you enjoy watching me?," he grins at me. "Huh? Oh. Uh. It's just that I'm a bar tender too. And sometimes I'm a mess with it." "It takes practice. Is this why you wanted to sit at the bar?" I can't tell them the real reason. That I didn't plan on buying a host tonight. I figured Alex was all booked again like last night, and I looked on their site of how much it is. My cheapest option was to sit at the bar and order their cheapest drinks.

"Here's your drink." I take a sip, "it's good. Thank you." He leans against the bar and smiles at me. "Um, what are you doing?" "Just because I'm not a regular host, I still have to work as one." "Do I have to pay for talking to you...?" "No, you just have to buy drinks or food. Sometimes the customers like this option because it's cheaper." At least he's honest. Wait! I completely forgot about Alex!! I quickly turn around and see Alex. "Miss, are you okay?" "Oh. Um. It's nothing." "It seems to me that you want to be with that host. He's our newest and most popular." Of course he is... He's perfect... I made him perfect... "Well, if you want to book him for another night, I can do that for you." "No no. It's fine." Randolph walks away and I quickly get off the stool and make my way over to Alex. "Let's have another drink Alexander," the girl laughs. "Yes, let's have another drink." Why the fuck are they calling him Alexander? Alex pours her drink and then she pours him one. They cheers and take a drink. She gets to close for my comfort, and I quickly lean over the couch, putting myself between their faces.

"Hi!" Alex stares at me shocked, I bet he didn't think that I would find out. "Um. I'll be right back Anna. It's time for my quick break for the night." "That's okay Alexander." Alex quickly gets up, grabs my hand, and pulls me along with him. "Where are we going?" "Alexander, guests aren't allowed back here," a guy tells him. "It's fine. I promise." Alex pulls me into the back where employees are only allowed. "What are you doing here Nyssa?" "I should be asking you that Alex. You didn't fully tell me the truth about where you've been." "I knew I should have told you..." "How did this even happen?" "Rian told me that I'm not collecting enough data by being at the bar, the company has noticed it's mainly guys that come in. So the company had me quit and take a job here. I know the deal you made with Rian, but the company forced me to take this job." "Fuck them..." "Please don't be mad at me Nyssa. I kept it a secret because I didn't want to hurt you. I promise I'm staying loyal to you."

"What is going on back here!?," I hear someone yell. A older guy walks up to us and glares at me. "Customers aren't allowed back here. Alexander you know that." "I'm sorry." "And you miss, you either buy a host or leave." "I'm actually at the bar." So he has to let me stay. "Fine. You can stay at the bar. But I saw what you did earlier. If you do it again I'll throw you out." "I promise." Alex walks out first and I follow the guy out, who I'm guessing is the manager. Alex goes back to that woman and the manager takes me back to the bar. "Where did you go miss?," Randolph asks me. "Keep an eye on this one," I hear the manager say quietly. "I heard that." He rolls his eyes and walks away. "Why did you leave?" "Oh, no reason. Bathroom."

All week I been going to the host club and keeping an eye on Alex, mainly the women. I don't trust them with him. Alex says he'll stay loyal to me, but at the same time, I don't want his system to change because of someone. "Class, it's time to start," I hear our teacher say. Jack nudges me, "you're falling asleep again," he whispers. "Sorry... I'll try to stay awake..." "I hope so."

I run to the host club, work kept me longer tonight then I expected and there's only an hour left of the club being open. Meanwhile Alex has been there all night. And I can afford more than one drink tonight because I just got paid. "Welcome back, your usual spot at the bar?" "Yes please." "Tonight, Randolph is working. Do you prefer him more than the others?" "I guess." "If you follow me please." I follow him into the club but I feel someone grab my arm. "Wha-" I turn around and stare at Jack. "Nyssa, what the fuck are you doing here?" "Sir, I'm going to need you to let go of her." "It's fine, she's my friend." He pulls me with him out of the club. "Nyssa, is this what you've been doing all week? Going to a host club!?" "Jack, it's not what you think." "You have Alex, why are you coming here? And this explains why you're tired in class and at work. And you just got paid tonight, I can't believe you ran here right after work to spend your money." "Jack I promise it's not what you think. Just please let me go back in." "I'm not going to let you spend your money on this place. You're coming home."

He pulls on me more, "Jack please stop!" He stops but doesn't look at me. "I'm sorry Jack. But I have to go back inside." I force his hand off and run back in. "Nyssa!," I hear him yell. I know he's running after me. I run down the hallway and go through the entrance into the club. "Nyssa!" He follows me in and I stop, seeing Alex entertaining two women. "Got you Nyssa, you have some expla-" Jack stops, I know he see's Alex too.
