Perfect Boyfriend

Nyssa's POV:
"Alex, you don't have to do all of the cleaning." "But it's part of my functions." "Did I really program you to clean everything?" He nods. "Sorry about that. But let me help you at least." "Okay." I grab the dust cleaner from him and go to my bookshelf. I wipe down a few shelves and the things on it and stop on one box. I smile to myself and take the box off the shelf. "What is it Nyssa?" "It's my box that has pictures before college. My favorite pictures that hold my memories of certain moments and people." "What are memories?" "It's when you can remember something clearly. It can be happy or sad, any emotion." I sit on the couch and open the box, I smile to myself at the first picture I see. It's of Jack and I on our first day of high school. "Is that you Nyssa?," I didn't even notice that Alex had sat down next to me. "Yeah, that's me in 9th grade. I was 14 at the time." "You look so cute. Still wearing braids I see. And is that Jack?" "Yeah, I'm glad that you can recognize us in this picture." "Can I see more of the pictures?" "Sure."

I pull out the pictures and I let him look at them. He stops at one picture, "you look so cute in this Nyssa." He shows me the picture, it's of me and my first crush back in middle school. I try to take the picture away from him, "I really like this picture of you Nyssa. But who's this boy? I can tell it's not Jack." "That's um. My first crush. We were both in chorus and my mom got this picture of us after a show." "What's his name?"

*FLASH BACK*
"Nyssa, wait!," I Jungkook yell. I turn around and he reaches me. "You left your book under your chair," he smiles at me and holds out the book. I feel my cheeks burn and quickly take the book. "Th-thanks." "Where are you going? It's after school now." "M-my mom is picking me and Jack up." "You're with Jack a lot." "We've known each other since diapers. Parents are best friends." "That makes since. He's lucky," I think is what he mumbles. "What did you say?" "Oh, nothing. Are you ready for the play tomorrow night?" "I'm nervous. I can't believe our teacher gave me the lead," I mumble and look down. "But I'm the leading male, so I'll be with you the whole time. You don't need to be nervous." I slowly look up at him, my glasses at the edge of my nose. "Really?" He smiles again, "you bet! You're the best dancer in our class, so I know that's the reason why you got the lead." "You-you're really goo-ood at dancing too Jungkook." Jack is the only guy that I'm used to. And this is the first time that Jungkook has ever spoken to me without others around.

"Nyssa!," I hear Jack yell. "Coming!" "I guess that's your cue to leave then." "Yeah.. See you tomorrow." "See you tomorrow," giving me his best smile.

"His name is Jungkook." "That's a cool name. Were you two close?" "We were only class mates." I finally take the picture away from him and put it back in the box. "Nyssa, looking at your pictures, your memories, makes me want to create memories. Can you help me?" "You really want to Alex?" "Yeah!" I think for a bit, "ah! Got it." I run to my room and look through my film stuff. I find my video camera and Polaroid camera. I run back out and Alex looks at me confused. "This is a video camera, you can take videos with these. And this is a Polaroid, it can take pictures and then print them right after you take it." "That's so cool. Can I try?" "Sure." He takes the Polaroid camera and quickly takes a picture of me. "Alex!" He smiles and the picture prints. It takes a few moments for the picture to show up, "I really like this one of you Nyssa. Can I please keep it?" I wasn't paying attention, I was turning on my video camera for him.

"Um. Sure. I guess." "Take one of me too." He hands me the camera and smiles. I smile to myself and take a picture of him. "What about videos?" "Hm.... What about a video of you dancing? I love that dance you did last time." "Um. Sure. Want me to show you how to work the camera?" "Sure." I sit him on the couch, turn the camera back on since it automatically turned off from not being used, and hand him it. "This is the button you'll be using. It records and when you're done filming, press it again." He nods, I grab my phone and get the song. "Ready Alex?" "Yeah." I play the music and dance in front of Alex who's smiling while filming me. "I love your dancing Nyssa." "Really Alex?," I say while I keep dancing. "Yeah. I want to learn to." He puts the camera down, the lens facing us. "Um. Uh. Sure." "Awesome! What dance do you have in mind?" "Um, well there is this one I always wanted to do with someone because it works better with two people instead of one." "Let's do it then. What's it called?" "Hyde by VIXX." "Interesting." "It's Korean Pop." I stop the song and pull up the dance video on YouTube.

"I can see why you want to do it with someone. I would love to learn this with you."

"Okay, that's enough for the day," I say out of breath and smile at him. My braids are a mess now. I look over at the camera and realize that it's been recording this entire time. "Shit!!!" I run over to the camera and stop the recording and turn it off. "What's wrong Nyssa?" "You left the camera recording and the battery is almost dead." "I'm really sorry about that Nyssa." "It's not your fault, I should've noticed before I got distracted." "How can I watch the video?" "You take the SD card, put it into the laptop, my laptop has a SD card slot, and then you select the video from the file." "Seems easy enough." Alex sits next to me and puts his arm around me. "Thank you for teaching me about memories today Nyssa. And thank you for creating them with me." He kisses my cheek and pulls me closer to him. "N-no problem Alex." "Why are you getting nervous Nyssa?" "I-I'm not nervous." "You stutter when you're nervous or scared." "How did you learn that?" "I just paid close attention to how you feel and what you do." "Collecting more data I see..." "Please don't think of it that way Nyssa." "I'm trying not to Alex."

"Want me to help you not think of it?" "How?" He leans down more and I put my hands on his chest. "I"m sorry Alex. I'm not ready. Kissing you to activate you was different." "How?" "I didn't know you would be so...." "Human like?" "Yeah..." "Have you ever been kissed before Nyssa?" "No..." He quickly gets up and gets on one knee in front of me. "Alex, what are you doing?" "Do you promise Nyssa, that I'll be your first kiss?" "Ah-uh-" "I want to make sure that your first kiss is special. Just like when we do it for the first time. I want you to feel comfortable enough with me to be able to kiss me." I smile at him, get on my knees, "do you Alex. Promise to wait till when I'm comfortable enough to kiss you?" "Yes. I promise." "Then I promise that you'll be my first kiss." He leans over and kisses my cheek, "hopefully soon you'll be comfortable enough to kiss my lips," he whispers near my ear. I let out a light squeal and back away from him. "I'm sorry Nyssa, it's part of my functions to act sexy when the moment calls for it." "It's not your fault, sometimes I wonder what did I request for you." "I can tell you if you want." "You don't have to." But seriously, did I really request for Alex to act sexy when the moment calls for it?
