Perfect Boyfriend

Nyssa's POV:
"Claire!" I yell for Claire, she stops, turns around and smiles at me. I finally reach her, my breathing kind of heavy. "Are you okay Nyssa?" "Yeah," I breathe out. "I'm just running late today that's all." I haven't actually told Claire about Alex. I don't know how she'll react, because Jack questioned me once how I met Alex and my story didn't exactly add up. "Why are you running late?" "The book that I had put on hold a month ago has finally been returned and now I can pick it up. But I have to pick it up by a certain time." "Oh my god girl, get going!" "I'll see you later Claire." "See you later!" I run off and go to the library, why does my campus have to be so huge!? I finally reach the library and go up to the front desk. The guy working was bent over, "um. Excuse me." He sits up and I stare at Alex in shock, my mouth hanging open.

"Why is Alex here!?," I yell at Rian. "It's okay Nyssa! Since it's going to be a while before we collect all of your data, we thought it was best that Alex was working here so he can collect more female data." "And I also get to see you more Nyssa. I get lonely sometimes waiting for you at home." "You do Alex?" "Yeah. But I didn't want you to worry about me." Now I feel bad.. I guess I just thought because he's a robot, that it would be okay to leave him alone for hours. "But now Alex has two jobs!" "Actually, he's volunteering here. We noticed how many girls are here, and how huge the library is. So we thought it was a perfect place for him. He's only here when you are though." "How did you set this up?" "We have our ways." That's just great to hear.

"Now, is everything good?" Well this does explain as to why Alex wasn't home when I woke up. I just thought he went out for groceries. "Well... I guess..." "I promise I won't hit on other girls Nyssa." He wraps a arm around my waist and I smile up at him. "I know you won't Alex." "See, everything works out!" Rian starts to walk away but I grab the back of his shirt. "Oh no. Not with you. You didn't tell me you were planning this You're the reason Alex is here and he was being secretive with me. I also didn't to this." Rian groans, he knows he's right. "You don't make a decision for Alex unless you talk to me. He is my boyfriend after all." "Nyssa, did you really just call me your boyfriend!?" I smile up at Alex and nod. He smiles so big, I love how he becomes childish when he's really happy. "But aren't you happy now that he's here!?" "RIAN." "Okay okay fine. We have a deal." "Good." I let go of his shirt and he runs off.

"Well, I need to get back to work Nyssa." "Okay Alex, I need to get that book anyway and go to class." "I can help you with that book." "Thank you so much Alex." I go back to the front desk with Alex, he quickly checks the system and smiles. "Found it." He looks through the stack of books and grabs the one I need. "But can I have a kiss before you leave?" "Um... Uh... Sure..." I'm really embarrassed that it's front of people. He leans over the desk and kisses my cheek. "I'll see you when I get out of class." "Where should we meet?" "Lets meet at the fountain, which is just outside of here." "That'll be really pretty with my girlfriend." I lightly punch his chest and he laughs. "I just love teasing you Nyssa." I feel my cheek burn, "see you in two hours Alex."

Claire's POV:
I watch Nyssa run off and I look back at the guy. Who is he? I decided to go in the cafe in the library to get a coffee since it was near by. The guy who kissed Nyssa is really hot... But Nyssa is terrible with guys, so who is he? "Hey Claire," I hear a guy say in my ear and I quickly turn around to see Alec grinning down at me. "What the hell are you doing Alec." "Why are you acting like this?" "Acting like what?" "We made a deal. If I turned down your stupid friend Nyssa, that I would break it off with that other girl, and you go out with me." He tries to kiss me and I push him away. "Do you realize how stupid you're being right now?" I roll my eyes, grab my coffee and walk away. Which doesn't stop him. Alec is so fucking persistent. He grabs my arm and spins me around.

"Watch yourself Alec, we're in public." "We made a deal. Do you realize how badly that I want you." He grabs my waist and I push on his chest harder. "I'm not interested Alec." "Oh come on baby." He grabs me again, "I said stop." "The lady said stop." Alec gets pulled away and the guy that kissed Nyssa and holding Alec by his collar. "You again!?," Alec yells. "You're the one that had hurt my girlfriend last time." The guy pulls his arm back like he's going to punch him. "Stop!," I beg him. I grab his arm and look at him with pleading eyes. "He kept persisting, and I could tell you weren't comfortable." "But it's okay now, I think he's learned his lesson." The guy lets go of Alec and Alec runs away. "Who are you? I saw you with my friend Nyssa earlier." "Oh, you're a friend of Nyssa." He smiles when he says her name. "Any friend of my girlfriend's is a friend of mine." BOYFRIEND!?

"Well it was nice to meet you. But I have class." "Nice to meet you." He walks away and I stare at him. How did Nyssa meet this guy? How did that loser meet a guy in the first place? Ever since Nyssa caused me to not be able get into the sorority of my choice, I haven't forgiven her. That sorority would have given me so many opportunities with my major, and she ruined it. I loved Nyssa at first, but after that, I had hated her. I hate seeing her stupid smile. And now, I hate seeing her stupid smile because of this guy. I had worked hard to make sure that she didn't end up with anyone. Guys hit on me all the time, and sometimes Nyssa ends up liking them. So whenever she tells me that she plans to confess to them, I make a deal with the guy for them to have something in return from me. But Alec was different, he was just a idiot who wanted to break up with his girlfriend for me. I'm not trash. I'm not a second choice.

And this guy, I'll make sure Nyssa also doesn't have.
