Jack

I removed my hand from Alex’s little bump and looked up at the man who spoke. I gave him a confused look and then looked back at Alex when he muttered out the name of Oli. Who the hell was Oli? And why the hell was he calling Alex’s child his? Could he be the guy that was in Essex with Alex and fucked him over by saying he wanted nothing to do with the child? “O-Oli, what are you doing here?” Alex asked as he stood up from the chair, with a little help from me to make sure he didn’t fall over or anything. It’s not that his bump was big enough to make him trip or anything, I was just keeping him safe.

“I moved here so that I can be closer to you and our child. Who’s this guy?” The other British boy spoke.

“This is my boyfriend, Jack.” Alex answered honestly.

“Boyfriend? What do you mean boyfriend? I don’t want any other man raising my child other than you and I.” The person who I’m guessing was Oli, said.

“Look, Oliver. You told me you wanted nothing to do with this baby. You told me that you never liked me in the way that I liked you. You didn’t want to be in this child’s life in the first place, so what the bloody hell makes you think I’m going to let you in it’s life now?” Alex spoke as he crossed his arms over his chest. I looked behind us and saw Tom walking up to us, keeping a slow pace but in hearing range.

“I moved all the way from bloody Essex to be with you and this child, Alexander! I’ll be damned if I’m not in it’s life!” Oli tried to fight back.

“It may be your child. But Alex is my boyfriend, not yours, he never was. I wouldn’t abandon him just because you we had an unplanned child or something along those lines. You done fucked up and you need to take yourself to the where you came from.” I commented as I looked over to the brown haired guy standing about three feet in front of us.

“I’m with Jack on this. You need to leave, Oliver.” I heard Tom say as he reached us fully and stood on the other side of Alex. “I’m not going to let you toy around with my little brother anymore, he’s found someone who will actually take care of him when he needs it. You need to fucking leave you bloody wanker.” Tom spat out at him. “Alex, go find Mum and Dad. Jack and I will get rid of Oliver.” I nodded my head in agreement with Tom and placed a quick little kiss on Alex’s cheek before he started walking away and over to the five foot pool to find his parents. I turned around for a few seconds and ask my co-worker to keep extra watch while I was dealing with something. I was just glad that we had full staff today instead of being short handed.

I walked back over to where Tom and Oliver were standing and crossed my arms over to bare chest as I looked at the man who was about two inches shorter than me. “You need to leave or I’m calling security.” I spoke bluntly.

“Like you are going to do a bloody damn thing! You think just because I’m not around you can try and take what belongs to me? Well guess what you damn American. Alex and that child are both mine, and I’ll be damned if I let you step in the way of it.” Oliver spat out to me.

“Alex not once belonged to you. All you guys did was have drunken sex and your wanker self got him pregnant. Alex was in love with you for damned near five bloody years and all you did was stand around acting like his best friend when you knew damn well how he felt about you. Then one night when you are out drinking you think it’s okay to fuck with his bloody feelings and have sex with him. Giving him the slightest hope that something might come out of it. Well guess what Sykes, you need to take yourself back to bloody Essex before I rip you a new one!” Tom growled out, his face red with anger.

Oliver looked at Tom like he had three heads or something, obvious that he has never been stood up to in his whole entire life. You could tell he was trying to come up with something in his mind to counteract what Tom said, but he was coming up short. So I took this as my time to go ahead and make sure he leaves the park. “Do you want to do it the easy way by walking out like a normal human being? Or do I have to call security to throw you out?”

“I’ll walk out on my own. But keep in mind, boy. You haven’t seen the last of me, I’ll be back, and you will regret ever stepping in my way.” Oliver spoke as he got in my face, ending his statement as he turned on his heels and headed to the exit of the water park. I have never been in this type of situation. Yes, I can be cocky as hell at times. But I’m normally a sweet guy that puts other people before I put my own needs. And honestly, Oliver’s threat scared me. But there was no way I was going to back down if it came to Alex and the safety of his child.

“You good, Jack?” Tom asked from next to me. I broke myself from my train of thought and put on a fake smile.

“All good.” I answered.

“Alright, good. You don’t have to worry about Oli. He’s pretty much all bark and no bite. Anyways, I’m going to go find Alex and our parents. I’ll send him back over here since I know you can’t leave the poolside.” I nodded my head to tell him okay as he took a few steps away and I climbed back onto my lifeguard tower, waiting for Alex to return back over to where I was.
