The Essex Affect

Summary

Alexander William Gaskarth was born in raised in Essex. An unexpected pregnancy changes everything for his family, and they have to move to the States to make sure he gets the care he needs with a loving family and a full support behind him. Alex thinks nothing can stand in his way. He is proud to be who he is and has loved his child since the moment he found out about it. And, even if it's other Father doesn't want anything to do with it, Alex will make sure that the child gets all the love it needs in it's life.

Follow Alex on the road to Fatherhood as he meets new people, pushes through life with his head held high, and maybe, even fall in love with the one that everyone else does.

18 years of age. The step-brother of Austin. He enjoys music but not as much as his step-brother. He plays the guitar like Austin, but he has never played in festivals. He is more into drawing, and he can read people like they're books.

19 years of age. Three months pregnant as he has to move from England, to the States. He's a hard one to ignore, and has a sharp eye. He let's nothing stand in his way and wants what is best for his baby. Even if that means leaving everything he ever loved behind to start over.

19 years of age. The step brother of Alan. He is a music-dedicated teen who plays guitar along with singing. He is close friends to Jack, and they used to play together at different music festivals.

Jack Bassam Barakat

19 years of age. The schools cliche popular guy everyone knows and loves. He is openly gay with everyone in the school and helps people out before thinking about himself. Even if he can be cocky most of the time, he is always one to put someone else before himself.

Oliver Scott Sykes

Oliver Scott Sykes

20 years of age. Father of Alex's baby along with old acquaintance of Alex's. Still resides in Essex, and he has lost all contact with Alex after the discovery of the pregnancy. (usually comes into the story in flashblacks)

Taylor Michel Momsen

18 years of age. She is an outspoken person that throws fits when she doesn't get her way. She has been known as the girl who 'get's around' in school. She has been trying to get Jack since Freshmen year.

I knew I was in for a heartbreak but it was an awesome ending, tragic, but awesome nonetheless.
Krys, I enjoyed your stories so much and I'm sad that you're leaving, but I wish you the best and I hope you'll never stop writing (even though you're not gonna post there anymore) :')
