“Come on Alex, she’s old enough now why can’t she?” Jack whined
By this time I had moved from my spot at the table to just behind the couch where Jack and Rian where sitting.
“Yeah Alex, explain to me why I shouldn’t go on tour?” I asked, my face was smug
“It’s just no. Gem, your too young tour life isn’t for you” he panicked, standing up and turning away from me
“Alex, listen. We need someone to fill in for Colussy and well why not Gemma? She studying exactly what we need her for, college is out for the summer and well I say she’s bored sitting around here,” Matt pleaded for me
I seen Alex almost shoot him and fuck you glare, this confused me why was he soo against me going on tour.
“Dude, come on. She’ll be in safe hands and she is 22, not 16” Rian smiled
“Yeah, we really need the help and well she’s the most qualified person here” Zack also pleaded my case
“Well Alex, try and come up with a reason now?” I grinned a told you so at him
“Amm… well … fuck” Alex stuttered
“Majority rule” Jack happily shouted
“So agreed, Gemma takes over Colussy’s old post of assistant tour manager” Matt smiled, shooting a quick glance at me
My face lit up, I didn’t know what to think. Tour, an actual job and with something I could use. I didn’t know who to thank, Jack, Rian, Zack or Matt backing me up.

Jack was the last of the crew to leave, which unfortunately left with me to deal with Alex on my own. Matt had explained to me what I was accepted to be doing and he’d inform me later of other things, but that didn’t lighten Alex’s mood.
As much I whined about Alex never being here, now I kind of wished he wasn’t here. I quietly walked pasted him in the kitchen hoping he was still not speaking to me.
“Gemma?” he asked as he turned from the counter top.
“Fuck” I cursed in my head
I turned to smile at him, hoping he’d go easy on me.
“Listen, I’m sorry about not wanting to let you go on tour, it’s just…” he began
“You’re my baby sister, and I’ll always see you as the toddler who used to fall asleep on me when we were on the couch” he sighed
“Aww, Alex that is soo sweet, but you know I’m a grown woman now. I can make my own decisions and well I could use the money and the experience would help my greatly next year for exams and assignments”
I heard him sigh and then he slowly nodded his head.
“I know, so I guess there’s no stopping you. Just promise me you’ll watch out for yourself, things on tour can get pretty heated and weird”
I skipped over to him, and hugged him tight.
“Don’t worry I will and sure I have my big brother there and well the boys will watch out for me, you know that love me” I giggled
“Yeah” he sighed
I sore to myself I heard him mutter “More than you think” under his breath but I ignored it and continued to hug him. After finally letting him go, I continued to make my way back to my room.
“Remember, we leave in 5 days so you need to get organised” Alex shouted after me
“Well aren’t I lucky I know the guru of organisation, Matt Flyzik to help me with that” I grinned to myself.
Then I skipped back upstairs, jumped on my bed and grinned to myself. This was the dream job, something any music student would want. The chance to work with a major band on one of the biggest tours in the states, I never wanted to use my contact in the music business to get work but I guess I had no choice in the matter. Fuck it.

4 Days Later
“Gemma, you don’t need 3 different pairs of sunglasses?” Alex laughed as he walked in on me trying to get my stuff organised
“Fine, one pair will do I guess” I sighed throwing the other pairs onto the bed
The idea of me going on tour had grown on Alex in the last few days; he was beginning to become excited. I tired my best to get some packing done everyday but something always came up and well I’m stuck doing the majority of it now with no help from Alex.
The riff to You Me at Six’s Jealous Minds Think Alike blasted from my phone, I leaned over backwards to grab it and realised it was Matt called.
“Hey Matt, you really can pick your times to call” I giggled as I answer the call, I seen Alex lean against the door and fold his arms, he looked almost pissed
“Sorry Gem, I know your busy and stuff but the management want you to sign stuff since your coming on board, so I’ll drop by later and talk you through them”
“That’s fine Matt, paperwork can also be a drag, I should know,” I laughed
“Haha, I’ll swing back around 4pm. Busy myself so I’ll talk to you then” he chuckled
“Okay, see you then” I grinned as I ended the call and threw my phone on the floor beside me
Alex’s expression still hadn’t changed and I was confused why it was like that in the first place.
“Your face looks like a slapped ass, what’s the matter Lex?” I asked turning my head to the side
“Nothing, just deep thought. So Flyzik’s dropping by later then?” he sighed
“Yeah, are YOU okay with that?”
“Fine whatever, paper works, paper work” he shrugged his shoulder
I laughed to myself as I continued folding clothes into my suitcase, Alex spoke his opinion about fitting a good majority of my life into it and he gave so helpful tips too.
Then once again my phone rang out; I quickly answered it without checking caller ID.
“Alex its mom, talk to her please” I heavily sighed as I held the phone out to him.
He sighed also and unwillingly took the phone from me and slowly strolled out of the room with some “ahas” and “ahums” clearly not exactly listening to Mom ramble on.

“Usual health stuff here, and it usual corporate nonsense here. It’s simple enough just glance over it and sign at the bottom” Matt explained as I took the contract in my hands
My eyes scanned over the document trying to get sense of what they were explaining to me, it wasn’t sticking but I signed anyway knowing I would be in safe hands.
“Done and Done” Matt grinned as he checked I’d, signed everything.
“And now what?” I happily asked as I leaned back into the couch
“Well fly out tomorrow, 5 am check in. Hope you can handle that?” he laughed
“That’s nothing, I can handle a 9am class after drinking till 5 the previous morning” I giggled
“Good to know”
“Oh yeah, forgot to mention to you. We may need that Gaskarth talent of yours” he grinned at me
“How so?” I half glared at him
“Well Colussy also helped out with Jack’s guitar onstage and well we were hoping you’d do it, since well you can actually play and I’d need the help with backing vocals” he explained to me
Ah the Gaskarth talent, it’s what the boys called Alex and me. Since the both of us could play guitar and well we both had the voice but I never got into playing a band, clearly I was more interested in the behind the scenes hence my decision to pursue music engineer in college.
“May as well, since it’s was Colussy did. I can’t let you guys down” I grinned
“Onstage too, damn are you trying to steal my thunder Gem?” Alex laughed as he entered the room
“Remember Alex your in a band? It’s not all about you?” I laughed
“According to the Internet, I’d beg to differ” he grinned at me
“Soo?” I glared as I stuck out my tongue at me
I looked back at Matt who seemed confused.
“Get used to this, you’ll see it a lot” I laughed
“I can feel the brother sister love already” he chuckled
Alex half smiled and walked out of the room.
“Soo Matt, enough of this business talk, how are you?” I softly smiled
“Drained, this the best word to use” he grinned
“Well you should take these last few hours and rest”
“Yeah you won’t be saying that in 3 months time, dealing with them isn’t easy” he sighed as I slouched back into the couch
“GEMMA!!!! WE’RE OUT OF NUTELLA?!!” Alex shouted from the kitchen
I sighed and ran my hands through my hair.
“Trust me I can handle it”
“Good” Matt grinned as he gently patted my arm
I instantly felt butterflies, this would have to be something I’d have to get over. Matt would be my boss and I’m sure you can’t feel this way about your boss.

So I'm using my normal system, getting 2 chapters up quickly just encase i fall behind.But I'm finished college for the summer so it probably not gonna happen.
But you guys ask, I made the banner myself, I'm a graphic design student so I'm a whizz at photoshop :P
