Nameless Beauty Boy

Only Fools Rush In

“Well did you at least get a name?” Alex went over to David’s house on Thursday to tell him what happen. “No he just offered me a ride then told me a little about him.”
David was still trying to make sense of all this “Why did he start saying things about him?”
“When he offered me a ride I said I didn’t know anything about him.”

“Alex are you sure about this? What if this dude us a total creeper?”

Alex didn’t think he was a creeper when he thought about it they guy didn’t look to bad.
He had a nice smile, nice eyes, good hair, and nice bike. Creepers don’t have nice facial features right?

“I only said yes because I felt something.”
David laughed “you felt something? What is he your prince charming?”
Alex crossed his arms “I felt something new, I wasn’t scared or worried. I didn’t over think things David, I felt safe. A part of me really wanted to hop on that bike and go!”
Alex wanted the feel of adventure and that boy gave it to him. The spark in the boys eyes just made him feel like he could do anything! This boy was so interesting, mysterious, Alex wished he knew his name he can’t keep calling him ‘the boy’ forever.

“Well why didn’t you get on and go with him?” David asked
“I honestly don’t know, I guess I was just a little scared, I almost did too!”

He shouldn't trust this guy, because he only just saw him at the park and he’d never talked to him before, but there he was, offering him a ride on that fancy bike of his.. Alex shifted on his feet, worrying his bottom lip between his teeth before nodding and taking a step forward. And the boy grinned, the most wolfish thing that Alex had ever seen in his life, and started up the engine of the motorcycle as Alex threw his leg over the back and seated himself behind him.

If only that really happen…

“So you’re really going to give this mystery boy a chance?”
“Yeah I don’t see a reason not too” Alex shrugged his shoulders “He seems cool; I can tell he is the adventures type.”
David put a hand on Alex’s shoulder “Well for your sake I hope he is. I don’t want you waking up in a motel bathroom with your appendix removed!” David laughed with Alex
“He doesn’t look like he would harvest my organs.” Alex smiled
“They never do!” The boys laughed

Alex stayed up late the night thinking about that boy.

He’s so mysterious; it just makes me never want him out of my sight. Usually I can figure out some stuff about someone just by the way they look, talk, and act.
I know so nothing about this boy and yet I know more than I should. What do I know about him? ‘I like Johnny Tremain’ well I guess that means he like books? ‘OO and the 60’s and 70’s’ What was big then? Elvis, the Beatles, Star Trek, the Twilight Zone?
Maybe he likes the Johnny Tremain the movie.
I just want to go back in time and get on that bike with him. That bike looked so inviting, he looked so inviting. His Denim jacket, his skinny jeans, his big eyes… Alex closed thinking about the boy, drifting to sleep

________________________________________

It was Friday and Alex was waiting for the boy at the park. I was not 1pm and Alex has been waiting for 20 minutes. After playing with everything at the park Alex ended up on the swings staring at his feet.
Alex heard a roar and looked up, the boy was on his bike pulling up to the curb and parking it in the same place he did Wednesday. Alex got off the swing and started walking towards the boy. Alex waved at him “Hey” The boy kicked the bike stand. “I didn’t think you were going to show.” He said sitting on his bike folding his arms.
“Why would you think that?” Alex asked “Because I’m a random dude who randomly asked to hang out with you.” The boy laughed “Ha- yeah...” Alex sighed “So um… w-what do you want to do?”

The boy shrugged his shoulders “I don’t know, I was thinking we could go to my enchanted place.” Alex laughed a little “What the hell is that?” He asked
“It’s a spot surrounded by trees, there’s one random wall and a picnic table in the middle. I think I’m the only one who’s been there.” The boy looked down and smiled “I don’t know you seem like you’d be into it.” He looked up “Like you would appreciate it.”

Alex smiled at the sweet boy “It sounds cool, where is it? Tell me and” The boy wagged his finger in Alex’s face shushing him. “No, no, no; not knowing where it is is half the fun!” Alex smiled “well let’s go then!” the boy smiled at Alex, eyes sparkling. “Hop on the back and I’ll take you there!” the boy said lifting his leg over the bike.
Here’s Alex’s chance to get on the bike and follow the boy, let him lead Alex on a new adventure and a new path of life.

"Hang on - !"
Tentatively, Alex wrapped his arms around the boy’s middle and held on as he revved the engine and kicked off, sending them flying down the street. Alex remembered with horror that he had never been on a motorcycle before. He’d just gotten on – he hadn’t thought much about it really, but he had never been on one before this moment.
He squeezed his arms tighter as they lurched forward, and it was obvious that the boy wasn’t paying much attention to the speed limit.

“Relax!” he said over his shoulder as they crossed an intersection, still smiling a little, and Alex grimaced, swallowing as he let the tension in his shoulders go. He slid his hands back a little, hovering right by the boy’s waist, just above the hem of his jacket. He felt the boy’s sides jump as he laughed, probably at him, and he leaned into a turn, Alex trying his best not to freak out about how close it felt like they were to falling. Under his fright there was a hint of exhilaration though, something fluttering and new. The boy was so at ease - they hadn’t said hardly two words to each other, but the boy either didn’t care or was too practiced with giving random lifts to people to be bothered.

By the time Alex realized they had gone in to the mountains (Alex is afraid of driving in the mountains) he was too caught up in the moment to speak up about it. At some point he vaguely understood that the boy probably had no idea Alex hated driving in the mountains in the first place. His heart jumped in his chest and his breath caught at the implications. He licked his lips nervously and let his fingers skim under the boy’s jacket. Alex felt him chuckle more than he heard it, and Alex stalled his movements, shocked when he leaned into Alex’s touch. Alex felt the firm muscle under his palm and tried to look at anything around them to keep him self from blushing. He’d never touched another person like that – not like this.

Not with the butterflies swelling so much in his stomach he thought they’d burst out of his mouth and fly away. After traveling through the mountains they turned onto a dirt road, soon trees started shooting past on the sides of the road. The motor cycle began to slow down and pull off to the side of the road, slowing down to a complete stop.
The boy turned off the engine and Alex reluctantly climbed off of the bike, trying not to squeeze too hard when he used the boy’s shoulder for balance. He stood a foot or so from him watching as the boy stood, humming to himself. He oozed confidence, and Alex had to try his best not to just check him out every time he got the chance.

“The spot is right through the trees, follow me.”
They started walking towards trees pushing aside branches that got in their way.
The boy pulled back a branch and walked past it, he let go. The branch flung back and hit Alex, he yelped out. The boy turned around covering his mouth trying not to laugh
“Oh my god, I’m so sorry are you okay?” He said smiling. “Yeah- I’m fine just keep going.”
Not long after the boy spoke up “Here it is, my enchanted place.” Alex pushed past one last branch

It was…magnificent; when the boy described it to him, he never imagined it would look like this. Tall trees all round, lush green grass with beautiful little flowers growing out of it, a picnic table in the middle, and yes a random wall.
“Beautiful isn’t she?” Alex looked over at the boy. “yeah.” He said quickly “I mean… yeah it’s absolutely amazing.” Alex ran his fingers through his hair.

Why do I get so nervous and clam up when his dude talks to me?

The boy started walking towards the picnic table in the middle; he stepped up sitting on the table and resting his feet on the bench. He pulled out a knife, Alex took a step back.
The boy looked at Alex and laughed “Don’t worry I’m not going to kill you, it’s just for the table” Alex slowly walked towards the table. “What are you doing to the table?” Alex asked “Come here and I’ll show you”
Alex walked over to the over side of the boy looking up at him.

“You see these lines?” Alex looked down at the table, on the edge there where lines about an inch long on the table, there where a lot of lines. “Every time I come here I put a line on this table.” “You must come here a lot” Alex interrupted “I put a line for when I come here by myself, I put an ‘x’ when I come with some one else.”

Alex looked down the table, line after line after line but that was it, there where only lines.

“I-I don’t see any x’s though” Alex said looking up at the boy. He was smiling wide at Alex, something shining bright in his eyes. “Exactly” he said “I have only ever come here alone.”

Alex didn’t understand at first
“Are you saying I’m the first person you have brought here?” The boy nodded, flipping the knife, catching it by its blade and putting the handle towards Alex. “Would you like to do the honors?” Alex looked at the knife and back at the boy, Alex grabbed the knife and started carving on the table. He made an ‘x’ and continued going over it till it was as deep as the other lines. When he finished he looked up at the boy, he was smiling at Alex

“Look, its Alex’s little ‘x’” He said tapping him on the shoulder. The boy took his knife back and Alex walked over to the tree they came out of.

“Right over there is a small river where you can catch fish and stuff.” Alex took a small step towards the boy turning his head left and right looking at the beautiful…. Everything, everything was beautiful.
“For a place that’s practically abandon, how is it so green?” Alex asked “Wouldn't things be dead like the other trees I saw coming here?” Alex couldn’t see one dead plant anywhere, the only thing that wasn’t green was the picnic table and some small dirt patches around it.

The boy shook his head “No I take care of her, water her when it hasn’t rained, trim the grass so it doesn’t get too long, but still fun to lie down in. As long as I’m alive I’ll take care of her, I’ll keep her alive.” Alex sat down next to the boy “What about when you die, what happens then? Who takes care of her?”

The boy looked over at Alex.
“I don’t like to think about that, I don’t think about ‘how I’ll die’ or ‘when I’ll die’ I like to think ‘how am I going to live life today’. But when I do die, then it’s up to Mother Nature. I’m here for her and her for me, if she wants to continue living once I’m gone that’s cool. Like I said Alex this is my enchanted place, this isn’t some spot to hangout like the park with you are your friends. This place is special to me, it’s where I go when I feel like I have nothing or I am nothing, because I know I always have her.” He said looking up patting the table below him.
Alex felt a little bad, but like an awkward guiltiness. Did I insult him? I hope he doesn’t think that I think this is just a place to hang out.

The boy let out a big sigh, looking back down and over at Alex, he smiled at him then slapped his knee. “So Alex tell me about yourself.” Alex hopped off the table and turned to face the boy. “Oh no, I’m not saying anything! It’s your turn!” The boy smiled
“But dude, I don’t know anything about you” he said in a funny voice mocking Alex.
I like Johnny Tremain” Alex said back now mocking the boy.

The boys face lit up with a smile “Really, me too!” he said waving his hands around like a girl who just found out someone liked the same band as her.
“Ha-ha, now seriously I don’t even know your name, what’s your name?”
The boy stood up “Uhh… I don’t think you’re ready for that.”
“What? How- how am I not ready to know your name? You know my name why cant I know yours?” Alex asked.
“Because I have a feeling you don’t want to know, you sort of like the mystery.” The boy started walking on the bench with is arms out, trying to balance.
“Friends know other friends names” Alex said, the boy got to the edge on the bench, closest to Alex, and started walking backwards. “How are we friends when we know nothing out each other?” The boy replied, smirking. Alex rolled his eyes “Okay people who hangout together should at least know each others names.”

The boy started walking towards Alex still on the bench with his arms out slightly leaning left and right. “You can enjoy some ones company and still not know their name! You can totally interact with someone and not know their name!” he said.
“Well what am I suppose to call you? Calling you ‘the boy’ all the time is going to get annoying, actually it already has began to bug-” “Kid” the boy interrupted
“What?” Alex said, not fully understanding what he said. The boy jumped off the bench. “You asked what to call me.” The more he talked the more confused Alex got. “Yeaah…and?”

“Kid, that’s what you’re suppose to call me.”

“That’s your name? Kid?” ‘Kid’ Alex laughed under his breath.
“No that’s not my name, but everyone just calls me Kid.”
“Well why can’t I at least know your name?” Alex whined
“Because like I said before I don’t think you want to, you like the mystery in me.”

He was right Alex did find it really attractive that ‘Kid’ was so mysterious, but he sure as hell wasn’t going to tell him. “Now Alex tell me all about yourself and I’ll tell you all about me.” Kid walked over to a tree and sat at the base of it; he crossed his legs and looked over at Alex. “Come on,” he said patting the ground in front of him. Alex walked over and sat down right in front of Kid.

“Umm, I don’t know where to start.” Alex said nervously. Kid was staring at Alex, there was a twinkle in his eyes and the corners of his lips curled up just the slightest bit.
“Tell me everything. What you like, what you want to be, things you want to see, places you want to do.” Alex laughed lightly “What? Why are you giggling?” Alex smiled at him. “You said it backwards.” Kid looked down, his cheeks turning the lightest shade of pink, “you know what I meant.”

Alex moved the hair out of his eyes. “I like music, photography. I’ve always found science really cool and I thought it might be good to go to collage for it, but I don’t know.”
Kid looked up at Alex. “What kind of science.”
“Space, planets, black holes, worm holes, sources of-”
“Aliens!?” Kid blurted out leaning towards Alex with his eyes wide. Alex smiled leaning towards Kid looking him in the eyes, he slightly nodded. “Aliens” He said in a serious tone of voice. Kid’s smile grew wider; he sat up. “Sweet.”

Alex sat straight up.
“So what kind of music do you listen to?” Kid asked.
Alex flipped the hair out of his eyes. ‘Rock mostly, I like old stuff. Aerosmith, Queen,-”
“Queen!” Kid said, interrupting Alex once again, he nodded in acceptance. “I can dig queen.”
“Dig?” Alex smiled raising an eyebrow

‘Yeah like I’m cool with it, I’m down. I can dig Queen” Kid rolled his eyes.
“I just like passionate songs, songs with meaning and emotion, love and loss.”
Kid nodded “that’s the good kind of music.” Alex nodded to, agreeing with him.

“So Kid, what about you?” Kid shrugged his shoulders. ‘Really? You’re going to do this again?” Alex complained

“No I was just thinking… It has always been a dream of mine to go to France.” He said leaning against the tree behind him, uncrossing his legs.
“Why specifically France?” Alex’s eyes wandered down checking out Kid, his beautiful smile, amazing body. All Alex wanted in that moment in that moment was to be flushed up against Kid’s.

“France is beautiful, kinda like your eyes. I’ve always wanted to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower and have a glass of wine. I just think it would be relaxing.”

Did he just compliment my eyes? I swear to god he just said my eyes were beautiful.

“Did, did you just call my eyes… Beautiful?”
Kid nodded “You have nice eyes. You pretty much have nice…” he looked down checking Alex out “Everything…”

Alex clenched up, his hands hot and sweaty, his breathing hitched. How was he suppose to react? Granted this guy is attractive.

Is he hitting on me, or just being nice?”

Alex looked around trying to figure out what to say.
“Yeah! Well- um you’re hot! So hmph!”

HA! Wait? NO! Shit!!

“Did you just call me hot?” He asked

Alex started shaking his head, not trusting his mouth. When he stopped shaking his head he looked at Kid, his eyes only saying one thing.

He grabbed Alex by the collar of his shirt; Alex uncrossed his legs and lunged towards Kid. He pulled Alex close, tugging him so their chests where pushed together.
Kid pulled Alex’s face close the sides of their noses touching, their lips ghosting over each other. Kid looking deep into Alex’s eyes, He smirked at Alex.

“You ever kissed a boy before?”

Alex stopped breathing, staring at Kid’s face for an immeasurable moment. He saw the question swimming in front of him, and he had figured this was where this was going, but just like every time before it didn’t hit him till it was staring him down. His first kiss since, he doesnt know how long – god, he’d been oblivious to it until the other boy’s mouth had been on his. He nodded once, and the gravity of the question, the growl of Kid’s voice, seemed to roll over him in a delayed wave. His eyes went heavenward and Kid tugged at his shirt a little more, pulling him closer, down towards his mouth. Kid flipped them over so Alex was pushed up against the tree

"Not one like you," Alex laughed nervously, once they were close again, and he could feel heat creeping up his neck. He couldn’t see Kid’s reaction because he was currently brushing the very top of his throat with his mouth, and Alex felt his the butterflies beat their wings at the walls of his stomach. Kid continued his way up, pressing his lips to the corner of his mouth. He must have made a face because Kid was laughing against his cheek; Kid put his hands on his waist, rubbing circles with his thumbs through his shirt, Alex’s fingers pulling at his jacket, eyes squeezing shut.

"Relax," Kid repeated, a rush of breath on his skin, and Alex shuddered; his fingers tightened on Kid's jacket, the leather soft and pliant beneath his fingers, obviously well worn. “Go with the flow,” Kid continued, the words ending in a chuckle. Alex tried to do as he was told. He loosened his hold and melted against the wall, and as he acclimated his smile surfaced, Kid pressing in closer, the heat rolling off his body.

He gave a short nod, and then Kid's lips were over his, and Alex’s hands involuntarily tightened on Kid’s sleeves before he remembered to loosen them. His fingers fluttered for a moment before coming to rest on Kid’s hips, sliding beneath the hem of his shirt. Jack made a soft noise, a sort of groan, and Alex slipped his fingers into his belt loops, tugging him closer. Jack moved so easily; in a blink they were completely flush.
And it was sort of weird at first, because Alex didn’t remember what he was supposed to be doing, but the way that he could feel Kid smiling against his lips made his legs feel weak, and the way that he could feel Kid's hips against his own made his head swim. Jack laughed softly and pulled away, fingers searching beneath Alex’s shirt until they were sliding on skin, leaving hot trails where they skated.

"It's alright, just- we'll take it slow, okay?"
Alex nodded and Jack grinned, hands finding a firmer grip beneath his shirt and resting on his hips, the cool air against his skin making Alex shudder slightly. When Jack moved in to kiss him harder, Alex moved with him, leaning forward the slightest bit and capturing Jack's lips with his own. It spurred Jack on, hands moving and gliding over his sides and lower back, and Alex slid his fingers through Kid's hair, gasping, giving Kid the chance to lick into his mouth.
Their tongues tangled and Alex let his hands rest on the back of Jack's neck, holding him close, Kid pushing his hands farther up Alex’s shirt, ghosting over the skin of his stomach, fingers bumping over his ribs, pulling a shudder out of him. Alex moaned when Kid withdrew one of his hands only to pull on his hair, tugging in just the right way that had Alex pressing against him, chin angling so they slotted together more fully. His shoulders were biting into the brick, his nails scraping at the short hairs at the base of Kid’s skull.

Something was lit under him; he could feel it – a sudden, devouring, need to be closer. He panted against Kid’s mouth, but Kid only allowed him a second before he was pulled back into the slick slide of his tongue, their breaths passing into one another, their hands gripping hard at each other. It went on and on, until finally Alex realized they had stopped and he was staring at Kid and Kid was grinning, obviously pleased.

"So much for going slow," Jack laughed, his voice deep and hoarse, and he could feel his cheeks grow hot with embarrassment.
"Well," Alex coughed lightly. “I may not have been on a date…but I guess I have more experience in that department.”
He slid his palms down Kid's chest; fingers curling around the front of his leather jacket, glancing up through his lashes.
“You’re good though,” he nearly purred, leaning in just a hair, considering what it would mean to kiss him again, “very good.”
"Well, 'm glad that I could appease you."
"Me too."
Alex let go of Jack’s jacket.

It was getting late and Jack and Alex were staring at the sky, lying in the grass.
“Hey kid?” Alex spoke up “Yeah Alex?”

“Can I at least guess your name?”
Jack laughed “Sure go ahead, you only get 3 tries today”

“Chris”
“No”
‘Noah?”
“No”
“Nick?”
“Nope!”

Alex sighed. “Do you ever wonder if there is someone out there that will change your life? Someone that you miss even though they just went to the bathroom and will be back soon. Someone like that.”

“I don’t need to, I’m happy with the person that’s with me now.”

Alex smiled,

“Thank you”

They went to sleep there, lying in the grass looking up at the sky.
