Everything's Magic

Questions

"Jack..." Alex pushed Jack's shoulder lightly. "we have school."

Jack grumbled something before opening his eyes, looking at Alex, but he was blurry.

"We have school." Alex repeated with a hint of tiredness.

Jack furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, giving Alex a weird look.

"Alex...it's Saturday," He kept the look, "wait...I think it is anyway." He slowly turned around, reaching over to his bedside table. He picked up his phone, and he was, in fact, correct. He showed Alex the phone, and said boy's head fell back onto the soft, puffy pillow.

"Thank fuck." Alex groaned, bringing the covers up to his neck. Jack gave him another look.

"I don't think I've ever heard you swear like that before. I mean except from that time you were over." Jack laughed, remembering Alex moaning all the bad words ever created. Alex's cheeks warmed up, and he turned over so that his back was facing Jack.

Jack let out a little, quiet laugh, before pouting when he knew Alex wasn't going to turn back around.

"Aw, come on," Jack smirked, his lips moving over to Alex's ear, breath falling down on it. "I like it when you use bad words." He whispered seductively, pressing sweet kisses down the pink haired boy's neck, before trailing back up to his ear. He nibbled on his earlobe, making Alex part his lips and close his eyes.

But then he realised what Jack was doing.

"Jack, w-what are you doing?" He knew full on what Jack was doing, and he didn't know how to react. Having someone admit that they had used you to get off, and then smother your neck in hot kisses the next day, isn't the best feeling in the world.

His thoughts got distracted, however, by Jack licking the shell of his ear. He couldn't help the moan that came out his mouth.

He turned around once Jack's lips were running along his jawline.

He closed his eyes as Jack connected his lips with his. Jack's hand moved up to Alex's hair, feeling the roughness of morning bed hair. As he went to straddle Alex, said boy stopped him.

"Jack... I don't want to do this kind of thing right, uh, now. Sorry." Alex looked away from the skunk-haired man, fixing his eyes on what ever he could.

"Fine." Alex knew Jack was trying not to let the annoyance show through, but he was terrible at it. Alex automatically felt guilty, even though he didn't need to. He wasn't dating Jack, and he didn't want to make out with Jack, so why should he feel guilty?

Jack laid back down on the bed, his palm against his forehead, and a face that showed his frustration and a tint of anger.

Alex gulped, knowing he had caused this. He didn't want to be the reason for Jack's anger.

"I'm sorry, Jack." He said quietly, biting down on his lip as he played with his fingers.

"Whatever," Jack sighed, getting up. He went through his draws, collecting clothes. Alex stared at him the whole time, wanting him to crawl back into bed and give him a cuddle, but he knew that wouldn't happen right now.

"I'm going to get changed." Jack said with no emotion, walking out the room.

Alex let out a long breath, getting himself up.

Why do I always fuck up everything?

He grabbed a comb from on top of Jack's draws, brushing his hair while he stared at the tree outside Jack's window through the crack of the curtains.

He put the comb down after he was finished, walking out Jack's room, and down the stairs. He sat down on the sofa, staring down at his hands.

The guilt was still at the bottom of his stomach. The thoughts of getting Jack angry were still in his head.

Having bad thoughts never worked well on Alex, and he really needed to go to the bridge to clear them away.

He got up, moving over to the front door, putting his shoes on.

He walked out the house with no words, no notes.

He grabbed his bike that was still, luckily, beside the house, and pushed it along with him.

He lowered his head, looking at his feet as he walked.

"Alex! Alex, wait!"

He instantly stopped, but didn't turn to look back as he already knew who was calling him.

"Alex," He heard jogging, or running, he wasn't sure. He looked to the side of him, finding Jack run up to his side.

"I wanna...go with you." He panted, even though he barely ran three metres. Alex shrugged, continuing on moving his bike forward against his side, keeping his mouth shut as he kept his eyes on the ground.

Jack loved the way Alex's hair would just flop over his forehead. But one thing he didn't like, is Alex looking down at the ground with a blank stare.

Jack searched for questions, wanting to make a decent conversation with Alex, letting the anger and disappointment from only a minute ago slip by.

"So, do you live around here." He asked, trying to catch up with Alex, as he was walking faster than him. He didn't know why he asked that question out of all questions, but he did. It would be nice if he knew where Alex lived, seeing as he knows where he lives.

"Down the hill, and past the rich houses." Alex mumbled, still keeping his eyes on the floor. Jack's heart sank a little. Alex could've gave him a direct address, but to Jack, it seemed like he didn't want him to know where he was living.

"Oh." Jack averted his eyes to the ground, gently kicking the different range of stones below him.

"Mmhm." Alex hummed with a sigh, looking up in front of him through his fringe to see they just passed the statue. He looked back down, confused why Jack wanted to be with him when he was angry at him only a few minutes ago.

They walked in silence, and Alex felt awkward. He didn't know what to do. Does he say sorry for rejecting Jack? Was it even rejecting? Alex and Jack aren't together, and never brought it up, so Jack didn't really have the right to be mad. Unless he was feeling something inside that triggered the feeling of rejection that Alex accidentally caused.

And even though they've kissed before and gave each other blowjobs, they haven't really talked about what exactly they are. Alex decided that they needed to talk about that soon, otherwise it's going to possibly ruin their friendship that they just built.

"Alex...I'm sorry." Jack mumbled just enough for Alex to hear, breaking off the awkward silence. Alex slowed down, turning his head to look at Jack.

"Uh, yeah. Sure, whatever." Honestly, Alex didn't know what to say, so he just let out random words. He noticed that they sounded rude, even though he hadn't meant them to.

"I mean, it's okay Jack." Alex forced a smile at the skunk haired boy. Jack just sighed, falling back into silence.

They reached the bridge, and Alex told Jack that he was stopping here to sit down.

Half of Alex wanted Jack to go away, but the.other wanted him to stay. It was really confusing.

But of course Jack came at sat next to him, his legs dangling over. Alex sighed, leaning back on his hands, letting the wind sweep his un-straightened hair in front of him.

As they sat, the river, wind and the nature were the only ones making any sound.

Alex moved his eyes and head, and looked at Jack. He found him looking absolutely perfect as the wind brushed his hair. He just wanted to roam his fingers through the now messy blob.

"I never knew it was this beautiful." Jack stated, making Alex turn out his daze on Jack. He looked back to the front, looking at the river.

"Yeah, it's truly stunning." Alex agreed, nodding his head. The daylight just had a perfect shining on the river, and you couple see some ripples and currents more below them. The reflection of the sun showered down on it, too, making it look even more breathtaking.

Alex caught himself lost in the atmosphere. If he could, he would live on this bridge. Maybe one day he'll camp out somewhere in the forest.

"Alex? Did you hear me?" Jack once again brought Alex out his daze, and said boy looked at him.

"No." He admitted, giving Jack a shy smile. Jack just rolled his eyes playfully, returning a more confident smile.

"I said we should talk. You know, about yesterday and this morning?" Jack suddenly got nervous, playing with his shirt. That took him a lot of courage to say, but he knew he was ready.

Ready to tell Alex what he wants.

"What part of yesterday and this morning?" Alex cocked an eyebrow, now sitting up with his hands in his laps. Jack took a breath in, before releasing it.

"The kiss. The kisses. I just wanna know what exactly we are. Friends with benefits? More? I really wanna know, because I think I wanna turn our friendship into something more. I like you a lot, Alex." Jack felt less nervous by the end of his speech, giving Alex a smile.

Alex was taken aback from what Jack said, never expecting him to come out with something like that.

Alex gave himself some time to think through Jack's questions - a real think through.

What did Alex want? Was he ready for a committed relationship with Jack? He's been crushing the boy for such a long, long time, why not step it up a bit? Jack just openly, and honestly, said he was okay with making their friendship more, so why not?

Alex sighed, before breaking into a smile.

He wanted this for so long.

"Yeah, I'm...I wanna take things to more than friends." Alex finally made his mind up, giving Jack a warm smile.

"Wow, really? Okay. But I get to ask the question first!" Jack exclaimed in excitement, moving closer to Alex, grabbing his hand, locking their fingers together.

"Will you, Alex W-something Gaskarth, be my boyfriend?" Jack bit his lip, giving looking at Alex through his eyelashes. Alex laughed when he didn't know his middle name.

"It's William Gaskarth. And yes, Jack, I will most certainly be your boyfriend."
