The First Time

Zack’s POV

My first period starts with Drama. Great. Never been the Shakespeare kind of guy. Ms. Blanchard is a nice person, but not an interesting teacher. All of the sudden, Mr. Foster walked to class. He brought a girl beside him. I thought it was his daughter, but then I remembered that he was gay.

He started walking to Ms. Blanchard and I was so bored that I started to click my pen over and over again. When they finally stopped talking, Mr. Foster walked away and Ms. Blanchard asked the new girl to introduce herself. She was looking down, but when she finally looked up, I couldn’t get my eyes off her.

Emma’s POV

I got Drama Class for my first period. That is sort of cool. Mr. Foster walked me to class and it didn’t take too long to walk to the little theater. I wandered off a bit, but I came back to reality when Mr. Foster started talking to the drama teacher. Thank God, the talk didn’t take too long. It is always awkward when teachers talk about me.

After that comforting little talk, I had to introduce myself. I never really liked introducing myself to the class, so I had to make it quick. I was looking down because I was actually quite nervous, but when I Finally looked up, a guy was looking at me. I don’t know why, but when I looked at him, I was mesmerized. I couldn’t take my eyes off him, but then I realized that I needed to say something so, I said, “I am Emma Kavanaugh and I am delighted to be here.” I added a smile to that. Ms. Blanchard started asking me if I had to add anything, but instead, I just started to look down and said no.
