The First Time

Emma’s POV

First day of school. Yay. I am definitely not happy. I have been here in Baltimore for ages, but I have never ever heard the name of my new school. Towson High School? What school is that? Even so, I hated my old one. So, I guess moving to a new school closer to home would probably be better.

Joe’s hugging me really tight. I feel like a teddy bear. He said, “New school, sissy! Be ready!” I was quite fond of hugs and quite ready for Towson. I don’t know what was gonna happen there, but I don’t care. I just really wanna get this day over with and go back to sleep. Sleep is my talent. Either way, Kate is making breakfast and it smelled wonderful!

Breakfast was delightful! I am now full and my tummy looks like Winnie The Pooh’s, but the eggs and bacon was worth it. “It’s time to go!” Joe shouted. He was awfully perky today and I don’t know why. Kate took her bag to go to work and Joe took his while I took mine.

It’s now time to go through another semester which is probably gonna be miserable. We all jumped in the car and I drove to Towson High. After we got to Towson and I went out of the car, Joe took the wheel. We said our goodbyes and I was finally here, finally in my new school.

I got to school on time. It was really crowded. I knew I had to go to the principal’s office first to get my locker combination and schedule so, I did. The principal’s office was surprisingly quite taken care of. It smelled like roses. It was weird for me because my old school’s principal office smelled like sweat and misery.

After he got to see me, he gave me my schedule and walked me to my locker. We had a nice chat and introduction and I don’t know why, but something tells me that Mr. Foster might be gay. I can feel it in my bones. Either way, I started to like this school.
