I wish I could
You're my remedy (Alex POV)
A week later
I had recovered well and was already allowed to do things outside my bed. Jack had cared for me the whole week and he had just been the sweetest thing ever, bringing me little gifts, cooking for me, singing for me and so on.
I looked at the medication in my secret stash before returning to the kitchen. The boys were coming for dinner later and I still had to cook something. Jack was supposed to come earlier and I was glad for it.
I wanted to make some risotto and I started. I let it alone for a minute to lay the table but when I came back, it had cooked over. A bit nervous, I cleaned up an set it on the stove again. But when I went back to the table, I accidentally knocked over a glass and it broke. I tried to stay calm but anxiety about me not getting anything right started creeping up on me.
I tried to continue to cook but it didn’t work. So I was about to take a pill when I remembered that I couldn’t be weirdly passed out from the tranquilizers later on.
But what could I do?
An idea shot through my mind and with only a bit of hesitation, I got out my phone to call Jack. He said he’d be over in 10 minutes. In the meantime, I sunk down to the ground and tried desperately to calm down. But it didn’t work. It got progressively worse and when Jack arrived, I was about to have a panic attack.
He hugged me without a word, he knew what I needed. He led me to the bed and tucked me in, spooning me while he hummed a melody and rubbed my back.
Soon, my breathing calmed down and I could think more clearly again. I turned around to Jack and nuzzled my nose into the crook of his neck. This was my favourite position because he just smelled so good.
After some time, I sat up.
“Jacky, thank you so much. But I think I should prepare dinner now. Could you… could you maybe help me?” I said, working my puppy eyes. I didn’t have to do it for long, he said yes quickly.
So we went back to the kitchen and my boyfriend discreetly swept up the broken glass. I started the rice again and this time, it worked. Jack helped me by hugging me from behind and blowing kisses onto my neck.
When the guys were almost due to arrive, the rice was cooked to the point. Thanks to Jack, the table was laid perfectly and candles were lit up.
The others arrived and we sat down for dinner. They were all amazed by how everything looked and I kept shooting Jack thankful looks.
When they had all gone, I asked Jack to stay with me. I was afraid of sleeping alone tonight. Jack said yes within a heartbeat. He didn’t even have to go to his place anymore; he had his own toothbrush and pyjama here since some days ago. I gladly guided him to my bed. Soon, I could hear him breathe more regularly and my own breaths started getting longer too as the pill I had taken started to work.

aaahh I really don't know? I get so bad with sequels, I still haven't finished Chased by the Future and also I'm really into Homeless right now.
I guess I can maybe make one chapter as a sequel and post it in here if I find the time to do so if more people want me to do it? :)
