I wish I could
Thanks to you for all the Nightmares (Alex POV)
I woke up, stars dancing before my eyes. I realized Jack was beside me and that I hadn’t taken a pill. According to the bedside clock, it was 3 in the morning. I didn’t want to get back to sleep like this. I needed my pills. I left a note for Jack and left.
I went home to my place but there was only half a pill left. How had I not realized it?
I decided to pay the pharmacy a visit as I really needed help with sleeping. They offered me a different medication and I took it. Luckily, it wasn’t too expensive.
I drove back to Jack’s place and downed one of the small, dark violet pills. I slipped out of my clothes again and crawled into the bed. Soon, the medication did its job and I felt sleepier, until I fell asleep completely.
In the morning, I woke up groggily, but nicely nightmare-less. Jack was gone but I could hear the sound of plates being moved around in the kitchen and when I got up, I was able to smell a whiff of bacon. I started walking towards the source of the smell and was not disappointed: a large pan was brimming with grilled bacon. Jack had also prepared a coffee.
“Good morning handsome,” I greeted him, kidding his neck from behind.
He shivered and I couldn’t help but do it once more. He wriggled free and turned around, planting a kiss on my lips.
“Well hello, beautiful. How are you feeling? How was your sleep?” he asked. I didn’t know whether or not to tell him about my nightly excursion to the pharmacy. I decided not to. I wasn’t up for more trouble.
“I slept okayishly. What about you?” I asked back.
“Pretty well actually,” he replied. I could feel a tiny pang of envy but it didn’t last for long.
“Hey, would you like to go outside today? We could go to the beach, it’s quite warm for this time of the year, October” Jack proposed. I thought about it for a tiny bit.
“Yeah, I’d love to go,” I said soon after. We packed our things and set off.
At the beach, it wasn’t that busy as a strong wind was blowing. The air was not too warm but also not chill. We decided not to go swimming but just to lay in the sun.
Five hours later, after building two sandcastles, wrestling for a bit and loads of kisses, we left for his place. It was already kind of late and I decided to watch some TV.
I was watching a nice series when suddenly, there was a scene where a character was hit by a car. Flashbacks flooded my head.
Me hitting the windshield, hearing the sound of my head against the glass. The sky high aove me as I flew through the air before hitting the ground.
I couldn’t take this. Trembling, I fumbled in my pocket for the pills. I swallowed one and sat back. Wait until it gets better.
I was in a strange kind of haze. It was nice, really relaxed but I was able to function perfectly. Just without my fear.

@NONAMETAGD
aaahh I really don't know? I get so bad with sequels, I still haven't finished Chased by the Future and also I'm really into Homeless right now.
I guess I can maybe make one chapter as a sequel and post it in here if I find the time to do so if more people want me to do it? :)
