I wish I could

I was in complete shock. I never knew Alex was hiding such a big secret. I felt hurt at him not telling me but the part feeling hurt was so insignificant compared to the part that felt like crying and the part that felt like protecting him that it was almost non-existent.

I pulled myself together; I needed to be calm now and stop crying. So I decided to make today a day of pampering for Alex.

“Lex? Do you want me to bring you a tea or hot chocolate? I could also massage you or do anything else you want. I want to make the rest of the day relaxing and nice for you,” I said, tucking back an errant strand of hair in his face. His lips twisted up into a faded version of the smile I loved so much.

“With much pleasure, Jacky. Could I maybe have a hot chocolate? But only if it is really ok for you! I don’t want to annoy you or anything!” he replied, obviously worried of annoying me.

“Lex, don’t you ever say that again! You never annoy me!” I replied. I turned around and left for the kitchen to make him the promised cocoa.

I searched my whole medical cabinet and after a long time, I found what I had been searching for: SleepHelp. These pills were probably not as good as Seroquel but it would help. I handed them to Alex before returning to the kitchen.

When I returned, he had curled up under the bed’s blanket again. He looked sad but I gave him the hot, chocolaty drink and his face lit up. I decided it was time for some movies and pulled up my laptop.

A thing came to my mind.

“Lexy, I don’t want you to think I’m putting off dealing with your problems, I just want you to enjoy the rest of today. We will figure something out later. And I will get you some pills before we sleep,” I explained. Alex nodded and kissed me on the nose.

“Yes Jacky. Don’t stress yourself. I’ll be alright. So what movie do you want to watch?” he asked.

“How about The Nightmare Before Christmas”? I love it,” I replied. We decided on it and started watching. I played with Alex’s hair until I noticed that the older boy had drifted off to sleep. I hoped this sleep would be good and I pulled up the blanket to cuddle him under it.

Idk I don't really like this chapter but it's kinda necessary. Also, be prepared for some unfluffy stuff...
But yeah, have some Jalex-fluff as long as you can c:
