A Tongue Like a Nightmare That Cut Like a Blade

"Aurora!"

“How’s my beautiful girlfriend doing?” Alex asked when he saw Aurora coming out of the bunk area and over to him.
“Good,” she replied with a smile. She sat down on his lap and gave him a peck on the lips.
“I was thinking that we could go on a date today since we have a day off.”
“I’ve been wanting to go out. Being in a bus all the time can be really annoying.”
“Yeah. So, where do you want to go? We could see a movie, go to a restaurant...”
“Actually, we’re having a date too,” Jack brought up. “Maybe we should go on a double date.”
“That would be so fun!” Aly exclaims. “We could go to the arcade or go and play putt-putt. We’ll have so much fun!”
“Ok,” Aurora agreed. “We can go roller skating too or even bowling.”
“I’ve never been roller skating. Let’s do that!”
“Ok,” Alex nodded. “Why don’t you ladies get ready, and we’ll look up directions and all of that stuff.”
Aurora gave Alex a quick kiss before getting up and going with Aly to the bunk area. The brunette pulled out three different outfits, and Aurora pulled out one. She turned around to find her cousin trying to cover her eyes and choose. Aurora laughed before going over to help her. She put the colorful shirt with a pair of black skinny jeans and a pair of Toms.
“There you go,” Aurora smiled. “Aly gets color with this shirt, Echo gets her sexy skinny jeans, and Alesia gets her Toms that she’s been wearing all the time.”
“Thanks,” Alesia said before giving her cousin a quick hug. “They would not stop arguing. It was giving me a headache.”
“Don’t mention it.”
The moment was ruined when Aurora’s phone started to go off. This was the first time on tour that it had rung, so neither girl had any idea of why it would be now. Aurora picked it up and pressed the button. The shorter of the two waited for whatever news they were about to get, but she never got any because Aurora dropped her phone and went flying as fast as she could off the bus to an unknown location.
“Aurora!” Alesia called after her as she made her way to the front lounge to find a shocked Alex and Jack.
“What happened?” Alex questioned.
“Her phone went off which is weird because it hasn’t gone off and at. I was waiting for her to tell me what it was about, but she just dropped her phone and ran as fast as she could. I looked at the phone and saw that it’s our cousin, Annette called.”
“I’m going to go after her. Jack, call Annette back and see what she said to Aurora.”
“Got it.”
Alex walked off the bus, but Aurora was nowhere in sight. The fact that she’s never been in this town before has him worried. He starts to call her name as he walks. Still, he’s not getting anything. That’s when he remembered that there was a park not far from there. There was a possibility that she was there. He started running in the direction of it as he continued to call her name.
On the bus, Jack picked up her phone and called her cousin. Annette picked up right away. “Aurora? Your line went dead. Are you ok?”
“This is Jack. I’m Alesia’s husband. She ran off the bus, and Alex is looking for her.”
“I guess that makes sense. I’d do the same thing if I could walk.”
“What did you tell her?”
Jack’s face dropped when he heard the news. He almost didn’t want to tell his wife, but she had the right to know. As the words fell from his tongue, tears started to spill from Alesia’s eyes. The lanky man pulled her into a hug and let her cry into his chest.
Alex was at the park and still calling her name. He was about to think that he’d never find her, but then he saw a figure under a tree. He felt a drop of rain fall onto his nose as he walked over to her, and as soon as he reached her, it was pouring down rain. They were in Ohio at the moment, so Alex didn’t need to think about the weather. He was able to focus on his crying girlfriend. He took off his jacket and draped it on her shoulders before sitting down next to her.
“Aurora,” he said, “what’s wrong?”
“I can’t believe this is happening again,” she cried.
“What do you mean? What happened again?”
“Why wasn’t I there? If I was, I could have stopped it like last time?”
“Aurora, are you talking about-?”
“Maybe I shouldn’t have come with Alesia. This wouldn’t have happened if I was at home.”
“But what about you being able to talk again? What about us?”
“You don’t understand!” Aurora turned to look at him when she screamed. “This didn’t happen just once. It’s happened twice now!”
“What-?”
“First it was my dad, and now it’s my mom.”
“You don’t mean...”
“My mom died in a fire last night.”

Notes

I'm sorry! I needed to make this longer, and I couldn't think of another conflict unless it was fans saying stuff about her, which I don't think she'd care all that much about. I needed one more thing that would make her be quiet again or make it harder on them.
Besides that...
I started school last week which means that updates will be weekly again. I'm actually writing this up in library right now. The only time I won't be writing would on Wednesdays and if I have homework that I forgot, but I'm going to start getting the weekly back. Oh, and I've been thinking about bringing my story Walls back. I might since I feel like I could get back into it, so that might come back. I really hate that I never finished it, and I had so much to write still.
Thanks for reading!

@Rae.Barakitten
When I first put my stories up, there was an option when creating a story. I've been asked this before, but when I looked to find it, it wasn't there anymore. As far as I know, they don't have the option anymore. It would be nice if it was there again since this story and another of mine need it, but sadly, it's not there.

Thanks! That's one of the best comments that I've ever gotten. As I say in real life because I'm a Japan loving anime freak. Arigatou gozaimasu!

This is so heartbreakingly perfect
@missymoo93
I'm happy you found it cute. I didn't know if it was going to be too cheesy because I'm a hopeless romantic that loves that stuff, and sometimes I think of really cheesy stuff.
Thanks!
