A Tongue Like a Nightmare That Cut Like a Blade

"I know they wouldn’t want me to be like this."

Aurora refused to talk, and she was barely sleeping. It was the end of the tour, and everyone had thought that by the end everything would be great, but fate always has a way of changing things. The gang was worried about her, but she didn’t even notice. She didn’t notice that much since her mom died. Her mind had been in her head remember all of the times that they shared together, and although there were some really bad times after her dad died, there were good times before he died and after Jack and Alesia got together. For a week she had been like this, just remembering, but that changed when Alesia said one thing to her that would make her come out of her shell again.
Alex was in the front of the bus playing guitar. He needed to get his feelings out by writing songs. Although Aurora and Alesia were the ones that had lost a family member, it was still hard on Alex. Jack didn’t really have it that bad because Alesia wasn’t that close to Aurora’s mom, but the first couple of days were hard. Alex had had it hard because he couldn’t stand to see his girlfriend like that. It was harder now than before because now she doesn’t respond to anything. She was a ghost of the woman that he loves.
Jack and Alesia couldn’t bare to see her like that as well, but, unlike Alex, they came up with a plan to bring her back. It was actually simple, and it was a surprise that Alex hadn’t thought about it. All that had to be done was for Alesia to say one thing to Aurora after they set everything up. What’s a better way to make her happy again, but to use something that had made her happy before?
Jack nodded to Alesia. The deaf girl made her way to the bunk area of the bus and over to Alex and Aurora’s bunk. The curtain was drawn back by her hands to reveal her cousin, her best friend, Aurora. Alesia snapped her fingers, but Aurora didn’t do anything. She tried clapping her hands and waving them over her face, but the autumn haired girl didn’t do anything. This didn’t stop the shorter girl though. She had to tell her. She just had to.
“Aurora, Jack and I are setting up everything. It’s going to happen after this tour ends.” Aurora didn’t seem to be paying attention, but the next part would get her too. “You and Alex are going to have your kid because we’re setting everything up and researching so I can carry it for you.”
Alesia sighed in defeat when Aurora didn’t say anything or move. She thought that that would be the way to get her cousin to come back to them, but it seemed to have failed. The brunette moved the curtain back to where it was and made her way back to her husband.
What Alesia didn’t know was that Aurora had been taken back into the real world. She was thinking about it all. Her mother may have died, but everything comes to an end and new things begin. She needs to be able to be there for Alex and the kid that they have together. She needs to be a better mother than her mother was. Just because she lost someone doesn’t mean that everyone has to suffer for it. She had seen the look in Alex’s eye when he looked at her. Although it would be wrong to just forget all about it, it’s also wrong to be this upset about it. She shouldn’t be stricken by such grief. That’s something that her mother and father wouldn’t have wanted, and it made Aurora feel like an idiot for not realizing it before. No matter who you lose, there will always be someone there for you. No matter how much darkness swallows your world, there will always be that little bit of light that can keep you going. It’s the candle in the distance, hope. She may have lost her mother and father, but she has Alesia, her grandma, Jack, Rian, Zack, the crew, and most importantly Alex and the family that they will have together. She isn’t alone. She has her friends and family and even her mother and father in her heart.
Aurora got up out of the bunk and made her way out to the front lounge. Everyone was a little shocked to say the least because they thought that it had not gotten through to her. Alex put down his guitar as she came over and sat down next to him. Her arms wrapped around him her lips met his.
“I’m sorry,” she told him. “I shouldn’t have made my grief everyone’s. You guys are my family too, and my parents are with me in my heart. I know they wouldn’t want me to be like this. They would want me to be happy and continue to live the life that they have always wanted for me, a life filled with joy. I’m sorry.”
“It’s ok. I understand. It’s hard, but I’m happy that you came back to me. I actually thought that you would be quiet for even longer considering your past, but that doesn’t matter because you’re back again.”
“I’m happy that I’m back too.”
“Oh, I’ve been meaning to ask you something.
“What?” Alex whispered his idea into her ear which caused her to smile and even blush a little bit. “Ok, I’ll do it.” Alex kissed her on the nose. “And I have a question for you.”
“What’s that?”
“What would you want to name our kid?”

Notes

This story is starting to come to an end. I plan on there being twenty chapters. Don't worry though because this story will have a sequel with Zack.

When I first put my stories up, there was an option when creating a story. I've been asked this before, but when I looked to find it, it wasn't there anymore. As far as I know, they don't have the option anymore. It would be nice if it was there again since this story and another of mine need it, but sadly, it's not there.

Thanks! That's one of the best comments that I've ever gotten. As I say in real life because I'm a Japan loving anime freak. Arigatou gozaimasu!

This is so heartbreakingly perfect

I'm happy you found it cute. I didn't know if it was going to be too cheesy because I'm a hopeless romantic that loves that stuff, and sometimes I think of really cheesy stuff.
Thanks!
