Jack's P.O.V.

I woke up bright and early, which really isn't something I do often since I'm usually hungover in the mornings, to be honest I was surprised that I felt so could as I got out of bed. I grabbed my iPhone from the desk and unlocked it, I couldn't help but smile when the screen lit up with yesterday's conversation with Kels; today I had my bestie all to myself!

I walked out of my room to find Alex sleeping on the couch seeing as we take turns to have the bed when we sleep in hotel rooms. Despite anything you might have heard or read online we do not enjoy sharing a bed together.

I head to the small kitchen thinking I should let Alex get some rest, he was exhausted after yesterday's show and all the commotion. I poured myself a cup of coffee before heading back to the living room area. The clock read 10:52, well, so much for letting Alex sleep.

"Ughhhhggmmdmcmkdk"

"Good morning to you too mr.sleepy head" I laughed at his grumpiness.

"Will you please turn that damn thing off? I'm trying to sleep!" He shuffled around a little trying to disappear under the covers of his makeshift bed.

"If you're asking me not to watch Spongebob then no, I will not turn it off. Anyways, Kelsey is gonna be here soon, she's picking me up to go shopping."

"You can't do that." Now his voice was stern, and not just because he'd just woken up

"Oh come on Alex, it's not like that, I know you like her. Anyways, just think of it this way, if we go shopping then I might be able to convince her to go out with us tonight for dinner, and you know how unexpected things happen right? Well, chances are the rest of us are going to have to ditch and poor you is going to have to eat dinner alone with her... Soooo yeah, you're probably right, I should cancel right now..." I stood up and pulled my phone out of my pocket, of course I wasn't really going to do it, I just wanted Alex to say so.

"What?! No! Don't cancel! You'd really do that for me Jack? Like set me up on a date with her or something?"

"Of course you doof, what are bestfriends for?"

Before any of us could say anything more I received a text from Kels, "c'mon Jack, I'm waiting for ya In the lobby, hurry up won't you?! :P "

I grabbed my coat and, saying bye to my bro, left the room and headed to meet her.

Kelsey's P.O.V.

I had gotten up bright and early, as I often do, and had gotten ready for the day. I was stoked about going shopping with Jack, not just because I desperately need help in the whole 'what not to wear' department but but also because I felt so comfortable around him, which wasn't a regular occurrence for me.

I re-read his message to make sure I had the time right, yup, I had to meet him in fifteen min. I grabbed a couple things and walked out of my warm apartment glad I'd dressed warmly. The walk to their hotel didn't take long and I found myself daydreaming about Alex until I reached the tall building. I got a few looks, people could tell I didn't fit in here, quickly texting Jack that I'd arrived I didn't look up from my phone as I walked around, no surprise I bumped into someone.

"I'm so sorry I wasn't looking and-"

"It's fine Kelsey, how's it going? You here to meet someone?"

I looked up at the familiar voice to see the one and only Zack Merrick wearing swimming shorts and a towel in hand.

"Oh, uh hi" i blushed realizing I'd been staring, I mean, he really is buff. "Uh I'm good, I'm just waiting for Jack, were going shopping, what about you?"

"Jack? What about Alex? Wait, sorry I didn't mean it like that I just... Never mind it's none of my business, I hope you have a nice time. As for me, I was just heading to the gym for a quick workout then for a swim, this hotel really has it all!"

I couldn't help but laugh a bit, of course, to look like that he had to workout like daily.

"Jack and I are just friends, and that's how I want it to stay so don't worry about that."

"What about Jack?" Well speak of the devil. I turned around to face the skunk haired man and checked him out a bit, yup, he could definitely give me a few pointers on style.

"Well if it isn't Jacky himself, I was just telling Zack all about how me and you are going shopping as besties!"

"Ah yes, it's me and you against the angry cashiers my lady!" He exclaimed in a dramatic way at the same time as grabbing my hand and pulling us outside, leaving Zack standing there confused and probably thinking we were mental.

Oh well, today should be fun.

Jack's P.O.V.

I dragged Kels into all my favorite stores; HotTopic, Detox... All the while trying on different things and making her do the same, of course I paid for her clothes, I mean sure she could have done it herself but then what's the use of having a rich best friend if he can't buy you stuff?

"Jaaack! No. This is way too much!"

"Hun, I'm rich. Okay. Like really rich. If I can afford all my custom made guitars then I'm pretty sure I can afford a few pairs of skinny jeans and some shirts. Now shut up and look pretty." I tried to look serious but couldn't, we both exploded into a fit of giggles.

She took the bag from my hands and hugged me, "thanks Jay, I always wanted a rich friend." And just like that she snatched my wallet and ran out of the store.

How does such a small thing run so fast? Even with my long legs it was hard to catch up to her, but when I did I scooped her up and threw her over my shoulder, still being careful as to not hurt her of course, and started walking towards the huge ass fountain in the center of the mall. She didn't realize what I was doing until I held her a foot above the water, her hair barely touching it. I'd never heard a girl scream that loud since that night when Lisa left...

"Sir, were going to have to ask you to leave now, we've been receiving complaints about you two ever since you walked in. Now get out!" The security guy didn't seem like he was going to change his mind so I placed Kels back on the ground, which allowed her to elbow me in the side.

Now, I was going to let it go but clearly she wasn't done, I wasn't expecting it which made it that much easier for me to lose balance, making me land with a splash.

"You bitch! You totally just pushed me in the fountain! On purpose!" I couldn't believe it. Damn, she was a wild one.

The security was mad as hell and grabbed us both, pulling me out of the water and then pushing us out the door. For a minute we just stood there with our bags, laughing at the scene we'd just made.

"Come on you little backstabber, let's get something to eat!" Being soaked sure didn't help with the freezing temperature of outside.

"Let's." She took my hand and we started to walk, swinging our arms around.

Yup, me and her were definitely going to be best friends for a long time.
