Rebecca’s POV
I can’t believe I did it, I just admitted to Alex how I truly cared about him; how I think I might love him. I was confused whether this was real or not…I had never really loved a person before, I was new to the whole idea of relationships. I look up at Alex to find him staring at me, shock covering his face. He was obviously not expecting me to have feelings for him like that, yet alone admit them to his face.
His takes a moment to stare at me before he leans over, taking hold of my face with his hands and planting a soft kiss on my lips, applying minimum pressure. I start to kiss back, our lips moulding together to make a shape. This kiss is different to our others, there’s nothing urgent about, nothing passionate, just a simple kiss that communicates the feelings running round our systems, taking over our simple and fragile minds. All too soon the kiss ends and my lips feel lonely without the contact of his.
“Wow.” He mutters, his chocolate brown eyes staring down into mine.
“That was just-“
“Amazing?” he finishes for me.
“Yeah” I smile “Amazing.”
“So, what do we do now Rebecca?” Questions Alex; stroking a piece of my hair out of my face.
“I don’t know Alex. What do we do now?” I ask staring at him.
“Rebecca…this is long overdue…and I know I have made my mistakes and I will probably continue to make mistakes…but I just want to make you happy. Will you be my girlfriend?” Alex asks; a nervous smile planted on his face.
Carefully I lean over and place a small kiss on his lips. Alex begins to kiss back, a smile pasted on his face. I slowly start to pull away smiling.
“Is that a yes?” questions Alex with a giant smile plastered on his face.
“Yes, Alex Gaskarth; that is a yes.” I reply smiling before Alex pulls me back into a kiss. We are quickly pulled away from each other when we hear a cough.
“Well…isn’t this cute.” Mumbles Jack; standing at the door with an unreadable look on his face.
“Jack…you okay?” I mumble pulling myself away from my new boyfriend.
“What? Er, yeah fine.” Jack mutters a small smile on his face. Something about the smile seems fake.
“What’s up Jack?” asks Alex, his face now blank with emotion.
“Ermm Rebecca needed me to remind her to call her mum and let her know where she is.” Mumbles Jack; looking anywhere but at Alex.
“Oh yeah! Thanks for reminding me Jack.” I reply smiling before standing up. “I’m gonna go call her now.” I mumble before getting up and leaving the room to just Alex and Jack…Why are they being so awkward.
Alex’s POV
“Listen Jack…” I mutter.
“Alex just leave it.” He mumbles looking anywhere but at me.
“No Jack-”
“Alex seriously! Just fucking forget about it okay.” He replies looking at me. “You got her okay, I heard everything and you don’t have to worry, I am not gonna do anything to mess up this friendship or your relationship.” He replies before getting up and walking out of the room.
Shit, I knew he liked her but didn’t realise he liked her this much…what now?
Jack’s POV
I get up and walk out of the room, no longer in the mood to deal with this relationship shit between Alex and Rebecca, to be honest I just want to go up to bed and sleep. I have missed my chance and now have to get over my feelings for Rebecca, seeing as Alex is my bestfriend and she is now his girlfriend. I start walking down my hallway towards my bedroom when I come face to face with Rebecca whose dressed back in her own clothes.
“Hey Jacky, I guess Alex told you the news.” She says smiling. I can’t help but smile back at her smile; it’s so beautiful that it has that effect.
“Yeah he did.” I lie, I don’t want to let her know I was eavesdropping now do I?
“Why you not excited?” she asks pouting a little.
“I am excited.” I reply with a fake smile, before letting go of a fake yawn. “I am just too tired, didn’t get much sleep last night.” I explain truthfully.
“Oh…sorry about that.” She replies sadly hanging her head.
“No…don’t worry about it Rebecca, you had every reason last night, I am just glad you’re happy now.” I explain lifting her chin to look at me. Slowly a small smile creeps onto her face and she pulls me into a tight hug.
“Thank you Jacky, you’re the best.” She replies hugging me tightly.
“Hey anytime.” I smile hugging her back.
“Well I better get going, my mum wants me home now, something about being in trouble, I’m sure she will understand once I explain everything.” Rebecca explains shrugging while letting go of her hug. Suddenly I really miss having the small girl in my arms.
“Yeah, I understand, well do you want a lift home?” I question running a hand through my hair.
“Nah don’t worry about it, I’m sure Alex will give me a lift.” She replies with a smile. Of course he
will. I nod back my smile turning to fake.
“Well thanks for last night Jacky.” She replies pulling me into a hug.
“Hey you know I will always be here for you.” I reply squeezing her tight.
“Thanks Jacky, you are the bestfriend a girl can have, Love ya.” She replies before letting go and walking downstairs.
I guess that’s what I will ever be…just a friend.

Awww poor Jacky, will he only ever be just a friend? Hmmmmmm....and Just so you know, Kendra is not completely gone yet! ;) Okay I may update again later, if I finish the next chapter but we have to wait and see...But please let me all know what you think so far :) Also next chapter includes introduction of new character who you may know ;)Please comment ^.^
