Just Another Reason I Could Never Forget You - Comments, page 5

@aweirdkindofyellow
It's one of those weird, chilled our things where there's still stuff ticking away in the background but Holly feels calm... I think. Maybe. Im not even sure anymore. Really, this is just a drama break by Holly's standards.
And I have done that so many times! I go back and I'm like "um, what the hell is this Kirsty? Where was your brain headed?!"

Ugh. I have no reason to feel this way but John’s existence now is annoying me. I’ve decided that Holly is just lying to herself about her feelings and as long as he’s around being all sweet and caring and unproblematic (how dare he!), she’s going to keep lying to herself and prevent getting back with Alex and that’s just dumb.

..... I have strong feelings here, clearly.

@Kurrsteee;
Whenever I write fragments for multiple stories, I tend to stop in the middle of sentences xD I will be reading both of your stories, though.
A break from drama? This totally isn't a break. Jack's still mad, and Alex and Holly claim to be friends. This isn't a break at all!

@aweirdkindofyellow

It's honestly not even that! I'm writing fragments for both all the time, so I need to give myself some structure to get one out of my head. If I had no schedule right now, I'd be writing nothing at all. :')
Also, we're on a break from drama, so you should see a nice amount of Holly and John (I know that makes you happy hahaha). Note the word 'break' though. ;)

Dude. If you feel the need to prioritize one over the other, do it. I used to think I had to do it according to an alternating schedule, but then I noticed I had to force myself to write for one story, making the chapters bad. If you're excited for one more than the other, then write for that one! I guess this also applies to the whole Holly and Alex/John situation xD

@Newyork_xo

I might just throw a curveball and go #teamholly.

@Kurrsteee;
Grrrr... don’t make me fight you. I’ve made it quite clear where my loyalties lie.

.....#teamalex (in the event you forgot)

Do we really? ;)
I've made my decision now too, soooo... ;)

settle for me. settle for me.

Okay, sure. This Holly/John stuff is cute but we know it’s not going to last!!

@Kurrsteee;
I remember when they came to a festival here and I was stuck at home doing a history assignment, but I watched the livestream xD
That would have totally made the concert way more expensive, though. Also, The Maine wasn't playing in Amsterdam, meaning you'd also have had to either rent a car or take a train. Your boyfriend would have probably discouraged that a lot more.
The support was this band called Sun Arcana. Seeing them live made me like them. I'm pretty sure they're still trying to find their sound a little, though. The studio tracks sometimes sound super different, while live the songs sounded a lot more connected, if you know what I mean.

@aweirdkindofyellow
Ah, yeah. We do sometimes get them back for festivals.
if I'd thought about it, I would have been seriously tempted. There's an airport literally 20 minutes from me that constantly runs flights to Amsterdam.
I hate that. I get that they love seeing them but I'd be way too conscious of everyone else who hasn't seen/spoken to them multiple times in the past week.
The only reason my boyfriend managed to convince me not to was money! They were only £10/£15 tickets for The Maine but I'd spent nearly £300 seeing Blink twice (hotel rooms included!). I think most of my spare student loan money went on gigs.
Ooh. Who was support?

settle for me. settle for me.

@Kurrsteee;
Oh, yeah, I know that they're definitely not coming to Europe anymore. They've got the US tour all the way until mid-October. I meant next year. They seem to come once or twice to the UK every year, while once every two years to the rest of Europe.
Yeah, the UK tends to sell out super quickly. But what sucks is that Amsterdam is super close to the UK so you have a shitload of people going to every UK date and then also going to the Amsterdam date. When I was waiting to meet Pat, I had this group of five girls talking to him from somewhere in England, and they had already been to all the German festivals and were going to all the UK shows, had spoken to him every single time, yet still managed to talk to him again for another ten minutes while there were 20 other people waiting??? First of all, ten minutes???? Second of all, really????
Six seems like quite a lot. But if you have the money and the time, there's nothing stopping you. I just don't have those two things xD
My friends and I looooved the support band. It was their first time outside the UK, which they were super excited about. At first I thought they were going to be generic, but they were great live. I got a picture with them (didn't get one with Pat and Kennedy because I didn't want to spend too much time like those British girls before me).

@aweirdkindofyellow
UK dates are normally around March so you'll have missed them for the year!
The Maine did 2 shows with a capacity of like 350 each here this year and they sold out within days. I was so upset. I live on the east coast and I was willing to travel to Manchester for it, but tickets didn't last until I got paid. </3
I almost made it last year, but my boyfriend had this strange notion that 6 gigs in a year is too much??? Still not sure I agree.
I just remember I literally discovered The Maine because they were supporting The Academy Is... and I just became desperate to see them. Like, I've never been so into a support band before that or since.
ugh. I'm so jealous of you right now!!

settle for me. settle for me.

@Kurrsteee;
Going to see them was so spontaneous for me xD I found out they were coming here, but was unsure if I wanted to go. Then, I bought the tickets literally a week before and then the next day they were sold out. A friend flew out and it was her first concert and another friend also came along (she got Kennedy's guitar pick and got him to sign in). The maximum number of people for that venue was like 300, so it was super intimate. I was literally standing in front of Kennedy (with exception to my friends standing between me and the stage). It's so weird how things like that work out. For me, I got into All Time Low a day after they came here (they apparently were here on my birthday in 2013?????? but I didn't really know them yet then, only a few songs). They didn't come anywhere near for 2 years. Then suddenly they came twice in a year. Now, they probably aren't coming anymore this year, we'll see next year (but I might be moving to the UK, so I feel like they will definitely come out there).

@aweirdkindofyellow
NOO!! </3
I have been waiting 10 years and I still haven't managed to swing it. They came nowhere near me last year and I couldn't make it this year. </3
I was supposed to see them in 2008 with The Academy Is... in this amazing little 500 person venue but my dad drove past on Leeds' huge ring road and I missed their set by the time we got inside.

... This might still be a sore spot for me.

settle for me. settle for me.

Yay, it's back! Since the last update I have had the pleasure of:
1) Getting way more into The Maine's music
2) Remembering all their names
3) Seeing them live
4) Meeting and getting signatures from Pat and Kennedy
I finally know every character based on a real-life person in this story! YAY! It actually really helps xD

@Newyork_xo

Right?! But, you know, whether she actually gets her act together is a different matter. ;)

Ugh. Yes. The more you're aware of it and try to stop hurting yourself, the worse it is. Unfortunately, my pain is in my hands and I work on computers all day, so I get absolutely no rest. :(

settle for me. settle for me.
4/25/18

You know what? I’m kind of feeling like it might be best if Jasey runs back to Arizona early. Sure, it will hurt Jack, Marissa, Alex and even John. But the alternative is she pulls them down with her and home girl just needs to get it together.

I’m putting #TeamAlex on the back burner for now and leaving my focus on #TeamGetItTogether.

Also, I feel you on feeling 85. I’ve got this neck/shoulder issue going on and when I try to be really aware of it and not lift anything too heavy or stretch in weird ways, it still ends up hurting.
