Walls

“Get up.” I heard with someone poking me.
I slapped at whoever it was.
“Hey manners.” He said
“Jimmy go.” I mumbled
“Cookout, food, beer, yummy. Come on lazy ass.” He said
He pulled my arm and dragged me out of the bunk, I didn’t let it bother me.
“Jesus just wake the fuck up.” He laughed
I smiled and he dropped me, it wasn’t far and it was on someone.
“Sleeping Beauty I will kiss you all over. Mwah, mwah, mwah.” Someone said
I opened my eyes and Brian was leaning down towards me.
“I don’t think so.” I said rolling off of his lap.
“What’s wrong with me?” He asked
“Look Brian, it’s not you. It’s me.” I said trying not to laugh
Brian started laughing and I looked around.
“Where’s Baltimore?” I asked
“Corey has him.” Jimmy said
I nodded and Brian, Jimmy and I walked to the cookout.
“There they are!” Mackenzie yelled.
I looked up and ran to my best friend.
“I was so lost without you!” I yelled laughing
She laughed and caught me.
“You just woke up huh?” She asked
I nodded.
“I’m going to fix your hair.” She said
I nodded and she just combed through my short hair with her fingers.
“WHAT IS THIS?!” I yelled
Everyone’s attention was on us two.
“What’s what?” Mackenzie asked
I picked up her left hand in mine.
“THIS!” I squealed
“What’s it look like?” She asked
“HOLY SHIT!” I yelled
“I’m engaged.” She smiled
I jumped into her arms and squeezed her.
“When did he do this?” I asked once my feet were on the ground
“He played it off that his mom was hurt so I rushed to her house where he said he was and the lights were off when I walked in, I turned the light on and he was kneeling down on this pile of rose petals, in a suit with the ring box.” She said
“Is his mom okay?” I asked
“She’s perfect.” She said
“My best friend is engaged.” I danced.
She laughed
“CONGRATULATIONS MACKENZIE!” Everyone around us yelled
“I have an important question?” I said
“Yes?” She asked
“Did you bring extra clothes?” I asked
“Fuck. I knew I forgot to get your clothes.” She said
“So you brought yourself some and not me?” I frowned
She smiled and I rolled my eyes.
“I’ll take some clothes from someone.” I said
She laughed and he went and mingled with everyone, Mackenzie broke off from me and I just walked around mindlessly.
“Beer?” Someone asked
I looked and Alex was holding a beer up to me and smiling.
“Thanks.” I smiled
I didn’t really need one, I was already a bit too gone. He smiled and took a drink with me.
The night went on and Alex and I got hammered and I probably passed out somewhere.
I woke up in a bed so I had to be on a bus, I wasn’t alone but I was too scared to look.
“Are you awake?” He asked
It was Alex, his regular voice was hot but now there is his sleepy voice, like DAMN. I laughed to myself.
“Yeah, I’m awake.” I said
“What happened last night?” He asked
“Hell if I know. I have all my clothes on so I don’t think anything like that happened.” I said
“So do I.” He said
“I do remember Mackenzie yelling me she got engaged and didn’t bring me any clothes to wear today.” I said
“You can borrow some of mine. Shorts and a tee work?” He asked
“All depends on how they fit and feel.” I said
“Let’s go.” He said
“Whose bus are we on?” I asked
“Well let’s find out.” He said
He climbed out of the bunk and I followed.
“Why the hell don’t I have a hangover?” I asked
“I don’t have one either. Luck I guess.” He said
We stood there and looked at each other before walking
“I guess the bunk would have been more comfortable then the back of my car.” Alex whispered as we walked through the bus.
“I would have been on a bus either way. Most likely Avenged Sevenfold or Slipknots.” I said
He just looked at me funny.
“Some bands that are here helped raise me, all of the older bands.” I said
He nodded and we were standing in the living room of a bus, it was Avenged’s bus.
“It’s Avenged Sevenfold’s.” I said
“How can you tell?” He asked
“My phone is on the coffee table.” I smiled
He nodded.
“Come on.” I said
I took his hand and pulled him to the back room of the bus, the only person back there was Johnny.
“Where are the guys?” I asked poking Johnny with my foot.
I still had my shoes on, I looked over at Alex and so did he. I then realized I was holding his hand, my face heated up and I dropped it, he smiled at my blush.
“Jonathan.” I said poking him harder.
“What?” He asked sitting up
“Where’s the rest of the guys?” I asked
“I don’t know.” He said
I laughed and walked out and grabbed my phone and headed out the door with Alex hot on my trail. When I opened the door and looked at the ground I busted out laughing. Zacky, Brian, Matt, and Jimmy were all passed out in front of the bus. I stepped down and sat on Jimmy and bounced.
“Stop.” He said swatting at me.
“Jim Jim, it’s time to get up.” I said
“Why?” He asked
“Because I said.” I said
“What the fuck time is it?” He asked
“About eight.” Alex said looking at his phone
Jimmy groaned and got up knocking me to the ground.
“I’ll get the guys up.” He said
I nodded and looked at Alex and shrugged.
“Jimmy.” I said
“Yes?” He asked
“How’d I get to the bus?” I asked
“Alex asked if he could bring you here.” He said
I looked at Alex and he shrugged, I laughed and we walked off after I kissed Jimmy’s cheek.
“Where the hell is Mack?” I asked myself
“Probably with Slipknot. That’s who I last saw her talking to.” Alex said
“Can I get that change of clothes before we find her and the rest of your band?” I asked
He nodded and took my hand and pulled me to where his car was parked, funny that Mackenzie parked mine just a little down the lot. Alex got into the back of his SUV and pulled out a book bag.
“I have a pair of black basketball shorts, a green pair and, a red pair.” He said
“Black.” I said
He nodded and handed me the shorts.
“Here.” He said
I looked up and he was handing me a tank top.
“Now the question is can I change in your hatch?” I asked
He nodded and let me in the trunk of the SUV. I pulled my clothes off along with my underwear because they were dirty and I pulled his shorts on, I pulled my shirt off and replaced it with his. The arm holes were big enough to see my bra. I crawled out of the trunk and he was already changed. I balled my clothes up so he didn’t see that I didn’t have underwear on and I held up my finger and walked to my car, I looked in the window and my door was unlocked. I opened it and popped the trunk shoving my clothes into it, before locking it up I grabbed a hair tie from the rearview mirror for the shirt. When I was finished in my car I locked it up and rolled up the basketball shorts so they weren’t long anymore but they were short, I tried a tail into the tank and now I was all ready for the long day.
“Nice way to alter my clothes.” He said
I smiled and we made our way to Slipknots bus, I threw the door open and Baltimore came running at me, I smiled and leaned down to pick him up. As I looked in the bus everyone was awake but minding their own business.
“Morning peoples.” I smiled
Corey looked up and smiled at me.
“Good to see you not jumping onto peoples back and dancing on them.” He said
“I did that?” I asked
“You always do something like that when you’re drunk babes.” Mackenzie said from the kitchen
“Mackenzie.” I smiled
She walked over and saw that Alex was beside me and she winked at me.
“That did not happen so get your mind out of the gutter Mack.” I said
She laughed and Alex looked confused, I just smiled at him and touched his arm.
“Have any of you seen the rest of All Time Low?” I asked
“I think I saw Jack passed out in the lot somewhere. Rian and Zach are in your dad’s car, or well in the trailer.” Mackenzie said
“Thanks love.” I smiled
Alex and I walked back off the bus with Baltimore and went looking for Jack.
“Do you have a tattoo on your back?” Alex asked
“Yeah, they’re wings that cover my entire back.” I said
“So you have wings that cover your back, a rose on your left hand, a music staff with notes on it starting on your right bicep and going down to your elbow that goes around your arm, the word Believe on the inside of your right wrist and the word Survivor on your inner left wrist?” He asked
“Yes, and my lip, nose, ears, and belly button pierced.” I said
“The spiders look good.” He said
I smiled
“And those dimples.” He smiled
Mackenzie and I both have dimples, I have a few more than she does though. She has two on her chin and one on her left cheek. I have on one both cheeks, one by each eye, one on my chin and two at the bottom of my spine; those are my favorite.
“You have them too.” I said
He went to say something but he tripped and landed face down on the ground, I looked down and Jack was sleeping peacefully still shirtless.
“Shit, Alex are you okay?” I asked helping him up
“Just a scrape.” He said holding up his arm
“Dear that’s more than just a scrape, its bleeding a lot.” I said
He just laughed and dropped himself down onto Jack.
“Ouch. Fuck face get the hell off of me.” Jack said
“Look what you did to me.” Alex smiled holding up him arm and letting blood drip down to his elbow.
“Come on tiger. I’m going to fix that.” I said
“Tiger?” he asked
I nodded and he stood up.
“Jack, get the rest of the guys and meet us in Slipknots bus.” I said
“Yes boss man.” He said
“Boss woman.” I smiled
He rolled his eyes and set off to find the other guys, Alex and I walked back to Slipknots bus.
“You know if my fangirls saw me bleeding I wouldn’t doubt them coming up with an elaborate scheme to clone me using my blood.” Alex said
I laughed and we made it to the bus and Corey looked at us funny.
“Is your first aid kit still in the bathroom?” I asked
He nodded and I dragged Alex with me and I sat him down on the toilet.
“You know, I probably would have just let this go and done nothing about it.” He said as I washed the blood off his arm.
“I always wanted to be a doctor when I lived with my mom, when I started living with my dad I realized that I love to do what he does. I love it, but whenever I see something like this I like to fix it up. I don’t like to remember my childhood but one of my favorite memories was from there.” I said
“What was it?” He asked
“I was five or six.” I said “This may burn.” I told him
He nodded and waved me to finish my story.
“I was five or six and I had all of these stuffed animals and one of them ripped so I went and found some scissors and some string. I cut little slits next to where the rip was and I laced the string through and tied it in little amateur stitches. I was so proud of myself.” I said
He cringed as I washed his arm out with soapy water but he smiled at me.
“When I got a little older around eight or nine I was happiest at school, I always took a big container of different types of Band-Aid’s, different characters, colors, shapes, sizes. I was the Band-Aid queen, whenever someone got a little cut or they pulled skin off their finger from biting their nails I’d fix them up with a Band-Aid.” I said
“Why don’t you like to remember your childhood?” He asked
“Maybe I’ll tell you one day.” I said
He nodded and I cleaned out his cut and put a big Band-Aid on it.
“Whenever I get a cut I’m coming to your apartment.” He said
I smiled at him and he kissed my cheek.
“Let’s go have a good day.” He smiled
