Alex's POV

"Jack, you going to come with me and see mam and the family?" I asked as I sat on the bed.
"I guess." Jack said quietly as he sat up.
"Jack, you need to talk to someone about what Patrick did to you. Seeing you yesterday have that breakdown or whatever has me really worried about you." I said and Jack looked at me.
"You don't have to worry about me, everything is fine so you can stop worrying." Jack said as he stood up and felt his way out the room.
"But your not fine Jack. You thought I was someone else and that I was going to hurt you. That is screaming out to me that you are not fine." I said and followed Jack out of the room.
"For fuck sake! What do you want me to say Alex?" Jack said loudly and turned round and looked at me.
"I want you to tell what is wrong with you. To tell me what this Patrick guy did to you." I said seriously.
Jack took a deep breath and turned his back to me.
"Jack you're going to have to talk to somebody about this, you can't keep it on the inside otherwise you will explode and do something you'll regret." I said and Jack turned back round to look at me.
"You want me to talk? Fine I'll talk." Jack said sarcastically which was something I wasn't used to as Jack never really showed much emotion.
"Patrick was my son of bitch of an ex boyfriend. He fucking raped me everytime we had sex. He used to fucking beat me up and leave me on the ground and waited for me to pass out before he raped me again. He used to fucking drug me if I told him I didn't want to do it with him just so he could have sex with me. What else is there to say? Oh yeah not only did my fucking so called father blind me but he used to fucking abuse me and my mother but he went to fucking prison and guess what my own mother turned into the abuser. Is that enough information for you or do you want me to go into more detail." Jack said sarcastically all the way through it.

"Jack." I said quietly and went to get hold of his hand but he snatched it away from me.
"I don't want your fucking sympathy Alex." Jack spat.
"Something else is wrong. The Jack I know, that's when the abuse was going on, before I knew what happened to you, would not be like this." I said and Jack looked at me.
"Why do you even care about me? You can probably find someone a lot better than me, someone who doesn't have emotional baggage, someone who isn't blind. I'm a nobody Alex, you can do much better than me." Jack said and I frowned and walked over to him and grabbed his face.
"What you doing? Let go of..." Jack said and I just kissed him, after a few seconds Jack returned my kiss and I pulled back and looked at Jack who had a huge blush and smile on his face.
"I care a lot about you. I can't find nobody better because nobody can be better than you. Emotional baggage, I don't care we both have our fair share of baggage. I don't care that you are blind Jack, if anything it makes you more special. Most importantly, never call yourself a nobody again okay." I said and put ran my thumb over Jack cheek which made him look at me.
"But why though?" Jack asked quietly.
"Because I have this massive crush on you and have done since I was 18." I said honestly which made Jack smiled and he pulled my head forward and kissed me and I was surprised that he actually found my lips, but I returned his kiss.
"You need to go and make yourself pretty because we have to go round mams and pops and see everyone and have dinner because as we both know I'm shit at cooking." I said and Jack chuckled.
"That's true." Jack said and I smiled and pulled Jack into a hug which he returned.
"Go and get dressed." I said quietly and Jack nodded and let me go and I watched him walk off towards the bedroom.

"Hey boys, glad you could finally join us." Mam said as she pulled me into a hug which I returned.
"Somebody didn't want to get up this morning." I said and looked at Jack who was talking to Jasey and Milly which made me smile.
"Was that you or Jack?" Mam asked and I looked at her.
"Okay maybe both of us didn't want to get up." I said and mam chuckled.
"What you two like." Mam said and shook her head.
"How is Jack? Jase said he had a bit of a breakdown yesterday." Mam said as we walked to the kitchen where I made my way to the fridge and something I liked and started to eat it.
"Alexander dinner will be ready in a couple of hours." Mam scolded.
"What? I'm hungry." I said with a mouthful of food.
"Anyway, yeah he had a bit of a meltdown, but I think it was because he rolled over in bed and crashed into me and he didn't know who it was so I felt him feel my face and because I have stubble he thought I was someone else and he freaked out big time, never seen Jack freak out so bad before." I said and looked down but mam made me look at her.
"You got his back, so does this family. We know you can look after him." Mam said and I smiled.
"Mam." Milly said as she walked out.
"Sorry, I'll come back." Milly said.
"You don't have to, I'm going to see what Jack is up to anyway." I said and Milly smiled.
"He's with Jasey in her room talking." Milly said and I rolled my eyes.
"When does Wes and Felix finish their shift?" Milly asked.
"In a couple of hours." Pops said.
"Felix is bringing that lass round isn't he?" Pops said.
"Rowen? Yeah I think he's bringing her round." Milly said.
I chuckled to myself and mam and pops looked at me.
"You don't want to know." I said and walked off out the room.

We had dinner and we all gathered in the sitting room to play cards against humanity, listen to some music and drink.
"Up for a game of cards against humanity." I said to Jack as I sat next to me him.
"I can't see Alex there for I can't play." Jack said and I pulled him into my side.
"You can help me. You have just as much as a dirty and disturbed mind as me." I said and Jack smiled and looked at me.
"That sounds like a good dea." Jack said quietly and I gave him a beer which made Jack smile again.
"Is it open?" Jack asked.
"Yeah its opened." I said and put my arm over Jacks shoulder and Jack moved more into my side and I looked up and saw Jasey watching us with a smile on her face.
"Okay so we going to play this in pairs and we can see who's the most fucked up." Jasey said.
"Sounds like a good idea." I said.
"Okay, mam and pops you two are together. Alex and Jack are together. Felix and Rowan are together. Wes and Josh you two are together but no fighting and me and Mills are together." Jasey said.
"Who put you in charge." Josh said and Jasey just looked at him and put her middle finger up at him and mam gave Jasey a tap round the back of her head.
"Sorry mam." Jasey said quietly.
I couldn't help but chuckle and I looked at Jack who was frowning.
"Jasey put her middle finger up at Josh and mam smacked her round the back of the head." I said quietly which made Jack chuckle quietly.
"I'll get us another beer each." I said to Jack and he moved and I stood up and went to the kitchen and Felix followed me.

"So you and Jack, you two together?" Felix asked and I looked at him.
"We're not together." I said quietly.
"You two look pretty comfy on the sofa." Felix said.
"So? What has that got to do with anything to do with you." I said and Felix looked at me.
"You okay? Your normally not is up tight about talking about Jack." Felix said.
"I'm fine, but I'm worried about Jack." I said.
"Why?" Felix asked and I shook my head.
"I'm not blurting out what happens in my flat. It's between me and Jack." I said.
"You haven't fallen out have you?" Felix asked.
"If we had fallen out then Jack wouldn't be cuddling up to me." I said and Felix smiled.
"Rowan looks nice, you reckon she'll fit in this crazy family?" I said and Felix shrugged his shoulders.
"Hopefully, but she's really nice Alex." Felix said with a smile on his face.
"Keep hold of her." I said and got mine and Jack's beers.
"Can say the same to you about Jack." Felix said and I smiled.
"Think I've already got him, just need to wait and ask him." I said.
"Just grow a pair of balls and ask him." Felix said and I walked back into the sitting room.
