Fire in the sky.

Jack's POV

I woke up first out of me and Alex, I looked at Alex and he was still peacefully asleep and I looked at the time and saw we had both missed our morning lessons.
"Lex wake up." I said and gently shook him.
Alex sighed loudly and looked at me.
"What?" He said his voice thick with sleep.
"We've missed morning lessons." I said and Alex sighed loudly.
"Fuck aren't given. Oh and Brooke is going to be banging on that door in 3..2..1" Alex muttered and sure enough someone was banging on the door.
"Alexander open this fucking door right now!" A girl said loudly.
"Go answer the door." Alex said.
"She's your friend." I said.
"She's less likely to shout at you if you answer the door." Alex said.
I just glared at him and got out of bed and answered the door.

"Your fucking dead Alexander." The girl said as I opened the door.
"Who are you?" She asked confused.
"I'm Jack. You are?" I said and looked at her.
"Brooke, I'm Alex's life long friend. Now is my lazy friend still in bed?" She said and walked past me but I got hold of her arm and growled at her.
"Down big boy, I'm not going to hurt him." She said.
"How do I know that?" I asked.
She rolled her eyes at me.
"I've been his best friend since we was 5. I've seen him at his worst, I've seen him at his best, I've seen him at his complete lowest. I have always been here for him. I am the only person who has not turned my back on him. I was fucking there for him when his entire family was killed by some bastard. So don't you fucking dare tell me I will hurt him. He is like a brother to me and I would never seen anyone hurt him. So if you fucking hurt him I will not think twice about burning you alive." She ranted at first but growled towards the end of it.
I just glared at her.

"Alex." Brooke said and I looked behind me and saw Alex in just his pants.
"You two finished playing the protective parent roll yet?" He asked.
"I was just saying to wolf boy here that I would never hurt you." Brooke said.
"Brooke he has a name and his name is Jack. Also why the hell you here." Alex said and walked towards her standing in front of me.
"Was making sure you hadn't killed yourself since you weren't in class this morning." Brooke said very bluntly.
"Well I had a late night with the head and then spent the rest of the night fucking Jack." Alex said also very bluntly.
"Okay that's too much information on the relationship front of you two. Why was you with the head?" Brooke said.
"Turns out I'm a spirit user." Alex said.
"What?" Brooke asked confused.
"The reason he's not like everyone else is because he isn't. He has a very rare and powerful power." I said and Brooke looked at me and then to Alex.
"So that bird which you brought back to life 2 years ago is a sign of you being a spirit user?" Brooke asked and I looked at Alex.
"I guess, I don't know. I was going to drag Jack to the library later to see if we can find anything else on this power." Alex said.
"Do you want a hand?" Brooke asked.
"Yeah please." Alex chuckled.
"Okay, I'll meet you both in the library in half an hour then?" She asked.
"Yes. Now piss off." Alex said.
Brooke chuckled and walked out the room.

"And that is my best friend of 13 years." Alex said and looked at me.
"She seems a handful." Jack chuckled.
"You just don't fuck with her. Because she is serious about burning you alive. She don't have that hair colour for no reason." Alex chuckled.
"She has her mate don't she?" I asked.
"Yeah, Noah, the poor bastard. But without him Brooke would be completely different. He saved her without even realising it. Just like how your doing the same to me." He said and looked at me.
I smiled at him as he walked over and kissed me.
"We better get going otherwise she'll be nagging us." Alex chuckled and we went off and got dressed.
