Alex's POV

Even though I desperately wanted to see Lily after that dream. I didn't, not sure why but something in me said I shouldn't visit her. I remembered there was something else I needed to do.

However right now I'm sat in my car in her driveway. I tightened my tie and wiped away the stray clumps of hair. I smiled, grabbed the bunch of lilies and got out of the car. Pounds in my chest picked up pace. I shouldn't be nervous, it was only Lily. I knocked on the door and took a deep breath.

The door swung open. Her Mother stared at me for a bit before smiling. "Lil' love! A handsome young lad is here for you!"

"I'm Alex."

She turned back to me. "Nice to...oh you must be the one that looked after my beautiful daughter. Others should be more like you. I expected seeing you after."

Her words made me smile, "Yes Ma'am, that's me. I totally would have come in but I had plans with a friend of mine, I hope you don't mind."

She giggled. "No, no. It's all good," she replied. "Lil! Did you here me?! A handsome young lad is here for you!"

I smirked. Handsome is alright. Hey?

"I know...I know!" Lily suddenly rushed down the stairs, buttoning up her jacket. "Mum, I don't know when I'll be back."

"Ok!"

When Lily finally took a good look at me, she shook her head. "Oh shoot," she began in a hurry, "should I have worn a dress or something less casual?"

I placed the bunch of lilies under my arm, took off the tie and untucked my shirt. "Nah, it's all good."

"We're not going anywhere fancy are we?" She asked.

"No," I passed her the flowers. "Your Mother called me handsome."

"Alex, lilies? Clever." She grinned. "You didn't have to get me these. I'll quickly go in to put them in water-" she glanced around the garden and placed them in an empty ceramic flower pot that had collected some rain, "if I go back my mum will pester me." She smirked.

"She seems nice," I said as we walked to my car.

"Only because she called you handsome."

"No...yea...maybe."

She laughed, as I opened the car door for her.

"What would you do if I called you handsome?"

Kiss you.

I instantly chucked that thought away, even though I really wanted to. I couldn't. Not now, anyway.

"Say thank you, you're incredibly beautiful, just like your Mother said." I chuckled, ran to the other side and got in as Lily said, "oh Jesus, Alex...I'm beautiful?"

"Yea, you are," I nodded, starting up the car. Lily's gaze quickly found her lap.

When we arrived, I got out of the car, walked round and opened her door. I held out my hand and she took it. I closed and locked the door.

She tightened her grip on my hand as we waded through the crowd. I didn't think much of it, surely it was so we wouldn't lose each other.

As we walked away from the crowd her grip loosened, which confirmed my earlier thought. She quickly let go of my hand and faced me.

"Where are we going?"

I pointed towards the building in front of us. "In there."

"Oh." I smiled.

We walked into see a small table set up for two. A rose in the middle for decoration, just what I wanted. I turned to Lily, she smiled.

I rushed to the table and pulled out a chair, "Sit down," I ushered.

Lily sat down and I slipped on to the other chair. "What don't I know about you?" Her sight immediately shifted to me.

"Uh, I absolutely love music."

I grinned, "What type?"

"Any really."

I began to pick up the menu, "you're in luck. I'm pretty musical."

Her eyes lit up, "you are?"

I nodded, "I'm in a band."

She giggled, "should have guessed that. What's the band called?"

My eyes widened, shocked she hadn't figured it out already or even recognised me. "We're called..." I looked at her flicking through the menu, "All Time Low."

As Lily looked back up her jaw dropped. "Crap! All Time Low? My friend loves you guys. I listened to your music once, from what I remember, I liked it."

I chuckled, "no wonder you haven't recognised me yet."

She tucked a stray clump of hair behind her ear, "Yea. She'll freak out knowing I'm with you...on a date."

"Well... tell her, I say hi and thanks for the awesome support."

She smiled, then nodded, "I will."

I smirked. "Don't know about you but I'm starving." I grabbed the menu and scanned through it.

After dinner Lily and I decided to walk along the beach. I did notice she seemed pretty nervous ordering her drink but that was normal after what had happened to her.
