Alex's POV

I'd noticed Jack hadn't said a single word for a very long time. I looked over. He reminded me of myself when I was hung up over Lily. It was my turn to get him back. I grabbed a napkin, scrunched it up and hurled it at him.

He reluctantly took his gaze away from where it was and glared at me.

I stood up. "Drinks. Anyone want one? Jack come help me."

"What?" he said under his breath.

I walked over and pulled him off the seat and dragged him to the kitchen.

"When are you so quiet?" I smirked, opening the fridge.

"A...she's stunning."

I chuckled taking out a few bottles of beer and Lily's juice.

"Ask her out then. I think she'll get freaked out being stared at all the time."

"Oh god! I was staring at her?" I nodded passing Jack a couple of bottles.

"Yea, pretty obvious."

"Ok..." Jack quickly left the room.

I shrugged and carried out the rest of the drinks.

"Sophie, can I introduce myself better?"

She turned and smiled. "Ok."

"Hey I'm Jack it's nice to meet you. Is it ok if we have a drink outside together?"

Her eyes widened as she scrambled to her feet. "Yes that would be nice."

Lily glanced at me and I smiled.

"Finally!" Rian laughed when they had gone.

I sat next to Lily and kissed her cheek. "Yea he's never been quiet in his life. Even in his sleep he can be loud."

"He was starting to creep me out with that long lost stare and it wasn't even aimed at me." Rian chuckled.

"It's cute," Lily joined in. "Sophie's gorgeous. Don't blame the guy."

"There's this very excited girl outside."

We all turned to see Zach. He smiled and sat down.

"She's my best friend."

Zach grabbed the only beer left on the table. "Yea she mentioned my music was awesome and she was your friend. Jack seems to like her."

"We know." I chuckled. "How is he out there?"

"Fine."

Later that night, I watched Lily walk into my...well our bedroom.

"Sorry had to say goodbye to Sophie. Jack's taking her home." I smiled.

"Don't apologise for that."

Lily smiled as she walked over and grabbed her pjs from the floor. I offered her a draw but she wouldn't take it. She said it was just as easy to put them on the floor to just pick up when needed. She walked into the bathroom and a couple of minutes later she came out and crawled into bed.

"I was telling Sophie that I thought I knew you at the hospital."

"Really?"

She giggled. "Totally, when you said you were surprised I'd hadn't recognised you on our first date, I actually had. It clicked when you mentioned All Time Low. It's crazy, I never would have thought about dating a celebrity."

I laughed. "I'm not a celebrity."

"Whatever a famous person."

"That's a bit better." I smirked wrapping her up in my arms. "You're freezing."

"Yea I'm pretty sure females are colder than males for some reason." I smirked again.

"Can I ask you something."

"Yea."

"Your mother said something to me and it's been on my mind ever since. Umm she mentioned you'd been hurt before all of this and you've never had any luck with boyfriends."

Lily turned in my arms to face me. "I can't believe she told you that. Well yea, I've been hurt before. His name's Pete. We were great and then he cheated on me. I came home to find him with someone else...Alex do you really want to know this?"

I shook my head. "Nah, not really. I guess I was a bit curious. You know I won't do that."

I pressed my lips to hers. She deepened the kiss before pulling away to get ready to sleep.

The next thing I knew was being woken up to her scream.

"Lily!"

She glanced over, trying to get her breath back. I placed my hand on her shoulder. She quickly jerked it away. "Get off me!"

I stayed calm and walked over to her. "Lily, it's Alex."

She blinked. "A-Alex," she mumbled.

"Yes, it's all right."

"Alex!" She swung her arms around me.

I held her tightly back. "It's ok. Lie back down with me."

She wiped the tears that fell. "I...I-"

"No, we can talk in the morning just try to get back to sleep now."

A few minutes later she'd closed her eyes so I did too.

Notes

Lily's nightmares are back in this chapter but don't worry. I won't be making her have them as much in further chapters. I just want to get across that people don't get over experiences, like she's been through, so quickly. It takes time.
