Jacks POV

"Jack pay attention will you." Our English teacher said and slammed a book down on my table which made me jump.
"Sorry." I muttered and paid attention to what he was saying.
The door opened and shut and everyone looked and saw a student called Alex walk in.
"You late Gaskarth." The teacher said seriously.
"S..Sorry, I was on the other side of town and it took forever to walk here." Alex quickly explained.
"I'll be talking to you after class, sit next to Jack and he'll let you copy what little notes he has written down." The teacher said and looked at me and I just glared at him.
Alex shuffled over and sat next to me.

His clothes looked like they haven't been washed in weeks, his hair was greasy, he kinda smelt as well but it wasn't that bad, it could of been his clothes which smelt and not Alex.
He also looked really cold.
"You okay?" I asked quietly and Alex looked at me.
"I'm fine, you have a pen I can borrow?" He said and I nodded and gave him a pen and slid my book over a d he started to roughly copy the notes I bad written that's if he could even read my writing.
Somehow he managed and slid my book back over to me and smiled a thanks and got up and walked out the class room before the teacher noticed he was gone.

"You remember Alex Gaskarth don't you?" I asked my friend Zack.
"Yeah, he was really good at music wasn't he?" Zack said and looked at me.
"Yeah him." I said.
"He seems to of gone really quiet over the last 2 years, you noticed that." Zack said.
"Yeah I noticed." I said and looked up and saw Alex standing by a locker with his head against it.
"You think there's trouble in paradise?" Zack asked.
"That's for Alex to know and us not to find out." I said and looked back over to Alex when was shutting his locker and walked towards the toilets.
"I'll meet you and Rian in the lunch hall in a sec need to have a piss." I said which made Zack chuckle.
"Too much info Jack but see you in a bit." He said and walked off and I went towards the toilets Alex had gone in.

"Alex?" I said as I walked in.
"Leave me alone." Alex said from the sink.
"Are you okay?" I asked as I walked towards him.
"I'm fine Jack." He said quietly.
I lent against the sink next to where he was standing and looked at him.
"You don't look fine." I said.
"Can people just back the fuck off away from me! I am fine and don't need people coming in and interfering with everything." He said seriously and glared at me.
"Just want to make sure your okay." I said.
"I'm fucking fine! Now fuck off and leave me alone!" He said loudly and walked out the toilet slamming the door behind him.
I sighed and walked out and went back to join Zack and Rian.
