You've got to hold on.

Alex's POV

I walked out of school once Jack left the toilets.
I was pretty much at the top of my class on most things part from maths but I wasn't bothered about that really.
But I did have loads of homework to do so like normal I went to the library and do my homework.

I was miles away doing music homework when I heard 3 voices.
I recognised Jacks voice, could recognise his voice from a mile away.
"He told me to fuck off. Got to respect his choice." Jack said.
"Everyone knows he lives on the streets." One boy said quietly.
I hid behind a book shelf and listened to their conversation since everyone knows so much about my life.
"And yet people do fuck all to help him." Jack snapped.
"Damn Jack what's gotten into you." The shorter boy of the three said.
"I'm just saying. Everyone knows that he's on the streets and no one wants to help him. He can't be that bad of a person." Jack said.
"He told you to fuck off, he tells everyone to fuck off and leave him alone. Maybe that's why no one what's to help him because he's so fucking rude to everyone. Perhaps if weren't so rude maybe people would help him." The buff guy out the three said.
"There's a reason why he's like it." Jack said.
"And your going to be the prince charming and get him to come out of his shell? Yeah fucking good luck with that Jack." The shorter guy said.
"Fuck you Rian. Its people like you who don't understand." Jack said.
I left after that because I really couldn't be bothered anymore.

I was curled up on a bench wrapped in a thin blanket and using my bag as a pillow and freezing my balls when I heard someone walk over towards me.
"Hey, you must be freezing." They said quietly.
"J..J..Just a..a..a b..b..bit." I shivered and my teeth chattering together.
"And you must be hungry. Here I've got you some pizza and coffee." They said and looked at me and that's when I realised it was Jack.
"Y..Y..You didn't h..have to." I shivered and sat up and Jack put the pizza on my lap which warmed me up quickly.
"Well it was for me really, but I have a warm house to go back whereas you're out here, so I think you need it more than me." He said and smiled.
I smiled back and slowly ate it.
"Hey, if you ever need somewhere warm to stay the night then come to my house and you can stay there." He said.
I shook my head.
"No, I can't do that. I only know street life now, I can't stay at your house." I said seriously.
"Well the offer is there if you really need it." Jack said and got up and pulled something out his bag and handed it to me.
"What's this?" I asked and looked at him.
"Some change for something hot to drink and eat in the morning, and there should be enough for your bus fare to get to school." He said.
"I..I..I can't have this. Its your money." I said and handed Jack back his money but Jack put his hand over mine.
" Keep it. You need it more than me." He said and got up and turned round and looked at me.
"I'll see you tomorrow yeah?" He said.
I nodded.
Thats if I haven't frozen to death first.
"Enjoy your pizza and try to have a good night." He said and walked off to the darkness.
I smiled and had some pizza and used it as something to keep me warm and went to sleep.
