Baby, I Will Be Your Everything

"Jack and Alex are literal goals."

I blinked, ears ringing with the silence that gathered around while my gaze burned into the side of Alex’s face. I swallowed thickly, a loud yelp jolting me out of my paralyzing anxiety. I flickered my gaze from Alex, feeling my eyes stretch to their limit when Cassadee launched out of her seat and around the fire.

“What the fuck?!” Alex cried out, loud smacks filling the silence as she slapped different parts of him.

“You piece of shit!” She yelled angrily.

“Watch the fuckin’ nose!” He exclaimed, crossing his arms out in front of his face.

“Cass!” I called, finally finding the nerve to move.

I let go of Lynn’s hand and jumped up, grabbing Cassadee’s elbow just as she raised her hand higher towards Alex’s head.

“Cass, stop.” I pleaded, slipping between her and Alex to stop her from trying to hit him some more.

“Are you fucking insane?” She fumed, pulling her arm from my grip and pointing behind me. “That scum just said he got someone pregnant and you’re defending him!”

“Me.” I informed, grabbing her shaking hands. “Not someone else, he got me pregnant.”

“What?” She snapped, looking me over in confusion.

“What?” Lance chuckled, breaking the tension. “Am I drunk already?”

“Okay, what’s happening?” Rian jumped in, sounding genuinely confused.

“Are you out of your mind?”
“What is he saying?”
“You’re a guy-”

“Everybody shut the fuck up.” Alex demanded, immediately quieting all of the questions spewing from around us.

I gasped, barely feeling the fingers wrap around my wrist before my body was moving backwards. I stumbled, falling down into Alex’s lap ungracefully and feeling his arms slip around my hips lightly. I swallowed, smacking at his right hand once my heart stopped thumping in my chest at the thought of busting my ass.

“Not so rough.” I mumbled through my deep breath, nervously looking up from under my bangs.

“Nobody say a fucking thing until he’s done.” He continued as Cass slipped back in her spot, leaning forward to nudge my shoulder with his chin.

“Don’t be such an asshole.” Lynn spoke up, the nerves bubbling over in my gut as everyone fidgeted in anticipation. “I can promise nobody here will judge you, it’s okay Jack.”

“Don’t make promises you can’t fucking keep.” Alex scoffed, fingers twitching around the beer pressed into my hip uncomfortably. “I’m jus’ sayin’ don’t say some dumb shit until you know what’s going on.”

I swallowed dryly, wrapping my hands around his forearm in warning. I know his attitude is stemming from his own nerves, but there’s no need for any arguing.

“Alright guys, chill out.” Rian eased, holding his hands out. “We’re all friends here and I’m sure I can speak for everyone when I say we’re just a little confused.”

“Yeah, yeah I know. I’m sorry.” I started, tightening my grip on Alex’s arm. “I uh, wow. I mean, I was planning on telling you all anyway because you’re my closest friends. Well, besides Mackenzie and Alexa since we just met-”

“Stop rambling.” Alex muttered, shaking me with the continuous bouncing of his knee.

“Shut the fuck up, Alex.” Lynn snapped in frustration. “Just let him explain.”

“Don’t fucking-”

“Okay, stop.” I cut in, quick to shut down their bickering. “So, it’s not a lie or a prank or a joke or anything you can possibly think of. Alright? I’m pregnant. Yes, there is really a baby in my stomach. My fetus actually, since it turns out I have one of those. There’s really no good explanation for it except that my dad’s side of the family has a strong trait that I inherited from my Grandpa Joel. We both are blessed with eggs and other female traits and yeah, um, he actually gave birth to my dad. I know it sounds crazy and unreal, trust me. I’ve felt like this was a dream since I found out, but it’s not. Here I am, just over three months pregnant with Alex’s baby.”

I sighed, thankful to get everything out in one very long breath. However, the silence that followed through didn’t help the relief last long. I curled my fingers more over Alex’s arm, feeling him tense while I kept my eyes closed. It won’t hurt as bad if I don’t see the looks on their faces or-

“Uh-” Lance started slowly, making me open my eyes.

“I’ll knock you off your fucking ass if you say something stupid.” Alex interrupted, closing his arms more around me.

“Sh.” I hushed, butterflies fluttering in my gut at his protective tone.

“I’m seriously going to be an uncle?” He continued, ignoring Alex with a shake of his head. “You’re really preggo?”

“Mhm.” I confirmed, biting my lip.

“Wait, so you’re serious?” Cass asked softly, back to her calm and understanding self. “This is real?”

“It’s real.” Lynn said. “I made him take the tests and they were all positive. All you have to do is look at his stomach to really believe it. Well, that and he’s our best friend.”

I breathed in deeply, cautiously looking around the concentrated looks of my friends while I sunk back into Alex’s warmth.

“Well, shit.” Lance laughed lightly. “Wow. I mean, that’s not something I expected, but damn. I’m excited to be Uncle Lance.”

“I’m still shocked.” Cassadee commented, staring at me with a dazed look. “I actually thought your boyfriend got someone else pregnant. I apologize for my crazy behavior. This is actually-you have a baby in your fetus we didn’t know about and this is fucking amazing.”

“Isn’t it?” Lynn clapped, making all of the previous tension evaporate. “I’m fucking excited.”

I sighed heavy with relief, slumping back against Alex’s chest with considerably less tension. I laughed quietly, listening to them all go back and forth with nothing but accepting things to say. I should’ve known my best friends would accept me, but there’s always that doubt in the back of my mind.

“Seriously, I can’t believe this is real!” Cassadee exclaimed incredulously and I sat back up to look at her.

“Me either.” Alex muttered under his breath, coughing as he sat up with me.

“This is fucking great.” She continued, making me sport a shy smile. “Well, would’ve been better out of high school you little slut!”

“I only have sex with one person!” I defended, gawking at the accusation.

“Without condoms apparently,” She reasoned, smirking playfully. “Who knew goody-good Jack would turn out to be wild?”

“Okay, let’s not discuss my sex life in front of everyone.” I suggested, an overwhelming happiness replacing all of the stress I just went through.

“Honestly though, no offense Jack, but you’ve always given off a strong feminine side.” She grinned, making me roll my eyes.

“We have an actual reason to celebrate now,” Lance announced, raising his beer. “Let’s cheers to this and get to the fuckin’ s’mores!”

Alex leaned forward, raising his own bottle up and lightly clinking it into Lance’s before they both took a sip. The amount left in Alex’s gave me the impression that he opened another without me noticing and even though I couldn’t be happier in this moment, knowing he’s already at least four beers in disappointed me.

“I demand a fucking donut, Cass.” Alex spoke up, resting his chin back over my shoulder. “You got in some good shots.”

I laughed lightly, watching the apologetic smile form over her lips as she looked over him sheepishly.

“In my defense, I thought you deserved it.” She retorted, crossing her legs comfortably. “I’ll buy you your donut.”

“Let’s be clear,” I started, playing with his fingers softly. “He wouldn’t be sitting here if it was someone else.”

“You got that right.” Lance agreed, making my smile grow. “Looks like someone already kicked his ass though. Alex man, you get roughed up?”

“Yeah.” Alex chuckled humorlessly, resting his beer over the arm rest. “Jack’s dad doesn’t wanna be a grandad yet.”

“No way!” Cass gasped, widening her eyes when I looked back at her. “Your dad?”

“It was a rough day.” I sighed, laying back against Alex’s chest. “He most definitely would’ve reacted better had I told him myself.”

“No big deal, alright?” Alex said, rubbing my side with his free hand. “He’s just lookin’ out for you.”

“Let’s get the sticks out.” Lance suggested, jumping up from his chair nosily. “And somebody call Mike up and tell him he’s very late to the party.”

I smiled contently, watching everyone fall back into routine like nothing even happened. Rian went back to asking Lance about where he met Mackenzie, Cass got on the phone to get in touch with Mike, and Lynn went back to whispering to Alexa and holding her hand.

“Hey.”

I came back to reality, turning my head into Alex’s after his whisper left my ear.

“I really fuckin’ love you, y’know.” He mumbled, nuzzling his nose into my temple.

“I really fuckin’ love you too.” I grinned, twisting my body in order to snuggle into him. “With all my heart.”

“Jack and Alex are literal goals.” Cassadee exclaimed.

Alex laughed out loud, pressing a kiss to my forehead and raising his beer back to his lips while my fingers traced over his chest. I smiled softly, rolling my eyes playfully as I curled my legs over his armrest uncomfortably. I dropped my head in the crook of his neck, inhaling deeply and relaxing the most I’ve been able to all day.

“Okay, but I need to ask a serious question.” Lance declared, raising his beer as if he were going to make a toast.

“Okay, and it is…” Lynn pressed after a long minute of waiting.

“How the hell did Jack end up pregnant first?” He laughed, grinning over at me. “He’s like, the most innocent out of all of you.”

“I mean,” Alex spoke up, sounding mischievous. “he clearly can’t get enough of my cock.”

“Alex.” I hissed, slapping my hand over his chest while my cheeks flared. “Oh my God.”

“He asked.” He shrugged, smirking down at me. “I delivered.”

“Hell yeah, bro!” Lance cheered, leaning over enough to pound his fist into Alex’s.

“You guys are idiots.” Mackenzie observed, rolling her eyes.

“I’m turning the radio up.” Lynn announced. “We need some jams.”

“Radios over there.” I said, pointing in the direction of the picnic table.

She jumped up from her seat, tugging her black crop top down some more before she skipped over to the table. I giggled, watching her hair swing back and forth until she stopped beside the bowl of munchies. I watched her grab a handful and lean down to the radio before Alex was shifting underneath me again.

“Do I need to remind you why you can’t get enough?” He questioned in my ear, just loud enough for me to hear.

I swallowed thickly, unable to control the chills running up my spine as warmth spread through my gut. The heat in my cheeks suddenly had different meaning and I scowled at the smug smirk falling over his lips, his eyes leaving mine to stare at my lips. I ran my tongue over them slowly, purposely lingering the point between my lips longer than I needed to. I bit my cheek to hide my smile when he grunted, free hand squeezing at my side in warning before he leaned back in the chair.

“Don’t make me wipe that smirk off of your face again.” I whispered into his neck, pressing a gentle peck before I turned my attention back to the fire.

“Hell yeah!” Lynn exclaimed, interrupting the unknown conversation happening around me when she turned the radio dial up.

I clapped excitedly, squealing once Nick Carter’s voice filled my ears. I flipped my body back upright, throwing my arms out in the air in perfect timing with the song and grabbing Lynn’s own outstretched arms as she jumped in front of me. I linked our fingers, my chest practically buzzing with happiness as we screamed the familiar lyrics to each other and it literally felt like the night couldn’t get any better.

“Someone call Mike up and let him know he’s missing some serious shit!” Lance called over the music.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I whined, tugging the thin blanket around my legs tighter as Alex fidgeted underneath me for the thousandth time in two minutes. His knee bounced, only making my frustration grow as the cool air passed through from his movements.

“Al.” I muttered, leaning my head back against his shoulder.

“I could use a smoke.” He hinted, nudging my thigh with his hand.

“Or not?” I suggested, scrunching my nose at the stale booze in his breath.

“Jack.” He mumbled, rolling his eyes. “C’mon.”

I rolled my eyes right back, slowly scooting forward until my body was off of his lap. Sighing, I pulled my shorts down and wrapped the blanket around me like a skirt before I plopped down in my vacant seat beside his. Ruffling my hair, I watched him stand with his half-empty beer. He pulled the worn black and white packet from his back pocket and waved it in the air between Lance and Rian suggestively.

“I could go for a hit.” Lance agreed, standing from his own chair.

“Or three.” Rian chimed in, getting up just as quick.

“Let’s take this out front, yeah?” Alex called, nodding his head towards the fence.

“Good idea.” Rian mentioned, eyes lingering on me for a few seconds.

I fought the urge to roll my eyes again, leaning back in my chair when Alex leaned down towards me. I tilted my head back, turning away slightly only for Alex’s hand to reach out and pull my chin back.

“Don’t be like that.” He frowned, looking into my eyes and pecking my lips softly.

I licked my lips once he stepped back, keeping my gaze on his back until the three of them disappeared back around the house. I blinked hard, doing my best to ignore the harsh sting of fatigue burning my eyelids while I looked around the glow of the fire to find Cass and Lynn both staring me down.

“What?” I asked, pulling my knees to my chest awkwardly.

“What’s wrong with you?” Lynn shot back, pointing at my face. “You haven’t smiled in an hour.”

“An hour and a half.” Cass corrected, making my eyebrows raise. “Yes, I kept track.”

“It’s nothing.” I answered, feeling Alexa and Mackenzie keep their eyes on me silently.

“Jack.” Cass warned.

I rolled my eyes once more, hating that they know me so well. If I would’ve just been sitting with Mackenzie or Alexa, they never would’ve noticed I wasn’t being completely myself. They wouldn’t push me for answers when I really don’t feel like explaining myself.

“Seriously.” Lynn pressed, tossing a marshmallow at my head.

“There’s no need for that.” I glared playfully, running my hand through my bangs.

“Yes, there is.” She argued like a child, throwing another one at me. “Tell us what’s bothering you and I’ll stop.”

“I’m just annoyed, okay?” I admitted, pulling my phone from my pocket after it vibrated against me twice. “I asked Alex to lay off the booze and that’s not happening. Also, Mike is being a fucking buzzkill and I don’t understand why he can’t just tell me that he doesn’t want to come straight up.”

“What do you mean?” Cass asked, almost sounding too curious.

“I mean,” I started, squinting down at my phone through the dark as I unlocked it. “since when does he not want to come to the party? He’s come every year since we started it and this time he says he’s grounded? I’m not stupid.”

I read over the text a second time, quickly locking the screen and setting it face down on my kneecaps in annoyance.

“Yeah, there’s no way he’s grounded.” Lynn agreed, furrowing her eyebrows.

“Are you guys dumb?” Cass laughed incredulously.

“Excuse me?” I scoffed, tucking my arms between my thighs and chest.

“It’s obvious.” She continued, twirling at her hair. “He likes you, Jack. Has for years.”

“What?” I coughed, holding my hand over my mouth while I continued to hack up a lung.

“Oh my God, that makes sense!” Lynn exclaimed, making my eyes widen. “He’s been weird ever since-”

“Ever since what?” I asked, staring her down when she stopped.

“Alex moved in.” She replied, biting at her thumb. “He started backing out of hanging out, remember?”

“Yeah because then you started bringing Alex around more.” Cassadee continued, nodding along. “He rarely ever hung out with us until he moved in, remember? Mike probably didn’t want to see him all over you.”

“You guys are ridiculous.” I brushed off awkwardly, biting my lip when my phone buzzed against my knees. “Mike is just another one of my best friends.”

“You can’t see it because you’re so obsessed with Alex.” Cass argued.

“I’m not obsessed with him.” I disagreed, grabbing my phone and unlocking it again. “I just love him a lot.”

“Whatever, that’s what I meant.” She laughed.

I swallowed thickly, feeling my heart fall into my stomach when my eyes took in the six words Mike texted me just a minute ago. After he went on about getting grounded for having porn in his room for the past hour. I mean, come on, get a better excuse than porn because I don’t believe that for a second.

“What did he say?” Lynn asked nosily.

“Um,” I mumbled, feeling sick as I re-read the words a fifth time. “he said I miss you.”

I gasped, looking up just as Lynn’s skinny little fingers ripped the phone from my grasp. I swatted at her, rolling my eyes when she jumped backwards and slumping back in my seat lazily.

“I miss you so fucking much.” She read out loud.

“I feel sick.” I whined, running my hands over my face. “Why did you guys have to tell me that?”

“You asked.” Cassadee implied.

I groaned, shaking my head silently. Breathing deeply, I dropped my hands back over my knees and sighed. Guilt twisted into my stomach and I felt a frown settle on my face.

“That sounds complicated.” Mackenzie spoke up.

“Ugh.” I grumbled, cringing when I heard the loud vibration go off once again.

“Are you okay?” Alexa questioned shyly.

“It’s not a good feeling.” I described, squeezing my dry eyes closed for another minute before blinking them open.

Cass and Lynn huddled next to each other, weary expression over the faces as they stared down at my phone and my stomach flipped hard in nerves.

“He says he wants to talk to you about something.” Lynn informed, standing up straight.

“Oh God, I can’t do it.” I refused, shaking my head. “What if I led him on accidently? Oh my God, what if-”

“There’s no way you were leading him on, Jack.” Cass concluded, giggling softly. “No way. You don’t flirt with anyone.”

“Then how does he like me?” I wondered, anxious butterflies fluttering through my chest. “What do I say? This is going to make our friendship weird.”

“Just talk to him.” Lynn said, handing my phone back over. “Or you can ignore it because he’s already ruining everything by ignoring us and flaking all the time.”

“That’s mean.” I frowned, holding my phone to my chest.

I cleared my throat, staring down at the texts for a few seconds until the screen went black. Biting my lip, I tucked it back into my pocket and glanced across the yard. I squinted, using my hand to block the fire in attempt to see through the dark better.

“I mean, I think you should see what he has to say.” Mackenzie suggested, talking a little quieter. “He might not even like you like that, maybe it’s something else.”

“That could be a possibility.” Lynn chimed in, speaking with a mouth full of marshmallow.

“I don’t even want to think about it right now.” I noted, rubbing my temples. “Let’s just leave it for now, yeah? The last thing I need is Alex overhearing.”

“Okay, let’s talk about something else then.” Cass clapped, cheeks flushing pink. “I think tonight is the night for me and Rian.”

I bit my lip, furrowing my eyebrows slightly as I relaxed into my chair. She looked back at me expectantly, seeming more nervous as the seconds passed while I stole a glance as Lynn’s own confused face. I hummed, turning back to Cassadee’s blushing cheeks before it hit me.

“Oh!” I exclaimed, immediately getting shushed. “Oh my God, really?”

“Yes, really.” She confirmed, playing with her hair at a faster pace. “And I need advice before they come back because I’ve clearly never done anything before.”

“And you think I can help you?” Lynn asked incredulously, grabbing her cheeks. “Oh God, Cass. This is big!”

“You being a lesbian doesn’t mean you’re clueless.” She retorted, losing some embarrassment as she put her gaze back on me. “You can give me tips, can’t you. I mean, it’s kind of the same.”

“Um.” I stammered, feeling my own cheeks flush a little once I remembered the small audience we had. “I guess so, but do you really want to talk about this when they’re just in the front yard?”

“They’ll be there a while.” Lynn commented, much more calmly. “It’s not like Alex was offering up his cigarettes.”

I sat up straight, tucking my hands into my pockets a lot harder than I intended to as a stronger wave of annoyance rushed through me. He already got high this afternoon and now he’s out there doing it again with all of that beer in his system.

“Jack?” Cass called, waving her hands.

“Sorry, what?” I asked sheepishly, pushing my thoughts to the back of my mind.

“I need advice because apparently you’re the only one here whose got their cherry popped.” She claimed, motioning around our smaller circle.

“None of you guys have had sex?” I wondered curiously, looking between Alexa and Mackenzie.

“No.” Alexa whispered.

“Surprised?” Mackenzie shot back, raising her eyebrows.

“A little bit.” I admitted, shrugging my shoulders. “I was always the last one in the group that would mention sex, let alone lose my virginity.”

“But you did.” Lynn reminded.

“And now you’re pregnant.” Mackenzie added, sounding more confident than when she first started talking without Lance beside her.

“And now we’re here, ignoring the fact that Mike is probably going to confess his ooey-gooey crush on you.” Cass finished, drawing my attention back to her wide eyes. “I figured a good distraction could be you helping me with this.”

“Are you sure you’re ready?” I interrogated, ignoring the rush of nerves flipping through me at the mention of Mike again. “Do you have condoms? Do you know how to use a condom?”

“I am and I do.” She nodded, pointing to her purse. “I never used one though, so no I don’t know how to use it and apparently you don’t either so maybe I shouldn’t be asking a pregnant person for help.”

“Okay,” I cut in, rolling my eyes. “I know how to use them, there’s just reasons why I don’t. Do you plan on going all the way or like, just oral the first time?”

I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw her grimace at the mention of oral sex. I covered my mouth, all of my embarrassment melting away once I remembered that these girls are my best friends and they’ve seen me on my worst nights, doing things that I can’t even recall when having one to many drinks. Well, minus Alexa and Mackenzie but maybe this will be a cool way to ease them into our friendship. After all, we’re not really normal.

“It’s not as bad as you think it is.” I smiled, leaning down to grab the bottle of water beside my feet. “There’s not really a specific taste until you get to the leakage.”

“Okay, ew.” Lynn whined, covering her ears. “I don’t want to hear about Alex’s cum.”

“I’m just saying sucking dick isn’t as bad as it’s made out to be.” I defended, twisting the cap off. “It’s actually kinda fun and that’s what I started out with.”

“Fun?” Cass repeated, leaning forward. “Do tell.”

“You’re in charge when it comes to sucking his dick.” I went on, drinking anther quick sip of water. “You get to watch him crumble because of you and I don’t know, it’s a good feeling. But it’s not for everyone, so if it really disgusts you then I don’t recommend.”

“Well, why did you do it?” She asked curiously.

“Pft, I’m pretty sure that’s too much information.” I laughed, shrugging my shoulders.

“You have to tell us now.” Mackenzie gasped, leaning on her knees. “We’re girls, we need the details.”

“I just, I wasn’t ready to have sex.” I answered, biting my lip at the memory. “I remember it was when I was just starting to get really close with Alex. He was complaining about the worst head he got one day and I decided I would take a shot and joked that I could be the best.”

“No fucking way, it that how this whole thing got started?” Lynn demanded, mouth hanging wide open.

“I remember getting real close to him, like, closer than I normally would.” I nodded, feeling my cheeks flush. “I had to talk him out of a breakdown for thirty minutes straight because no matter how much he joked, he never imagined doing anything with another guy. Then he just kissed me and said he liked it a lot.”

“That’s really fucking cute.” Mackenzie cooed, making my smile grow.

“Anyways,” I drawled, curling my hands over my knees. “I wasn’t going to have sex with him just because he liked having sex all the time. So, I started off slowly.”

“I think I’m ready to go all the way.” Cass noted, brushing her hair behind her ear. “I’m, like, wanting to more than I ever thought I would.”

“You’ll know, so I say just go for it.” I advised, slowly putting my feet back on the ground. “The best advice I can give to you is to be prepared. You don’t really need to worry about getting anything wet enough so you’ll be fine.”

“What the hell are you talking about?”

I jumped, looking from Cassadee’s wide eyes and over to my left side only to find Lauren standing there with her eyebrows raised. I laughed awkwardly, finding Maddison and Derek crowding behind her before looking back over to Lynn’s laughing face.

“Nothing.” I sighed, crossing my right leg over my left. “Why are you sneaking up on us?”

“Mom said we can make s’mores before you put the fire out.” She grinned, slipping around Alex’s seat and making herself comfortable in it. “Jeez, is there even any chocolate left?”

I looked towards the gravel surrounding the firepit, widening my eyes at the multiple Hershey wrappers surrounded by the long sticks and boxes of graham crackers.

“That fucker better not have eaten it all.” I gawked, leaning forward and looking around towards Lance’s side of the pit. “Oh my God, they’re going to be so sick.”

“Not from the s’mores.” Mackenzie cackled.

“I’ve got some three bars by me.” Cassadee called, raising her hand out. “And I’ll remember that, Jack.”

“Thanks for the distraction.” I nodded back, snuggling more into my blanket as Derek grabbed the candy bars from her hand.

I pushed my hand over my mouth, stifling my yawn and lolling my head back over the top of the lawn chair. I closed my eyes, listening to Lauren start babbling to Cassadee about how she met Derek. I sighed heavily, jumping at the vibration sounding from beside me. I sat up, feeling my pockets only to find them unmoving. Furrowing my eyebrows, I looked towards the dull glow coming from the cupholder in the armrest of Alex’s chair. I reached my hand inside, feeling his phone and pulling it out.

“You guys are cute.” Cass commented, turning back into her talkative self. “I love that you went to see Nemo together. Rian and I saw Beauty and the Beast for our first movie date.”

“That’s cheesy.” Lynn accused. “Alexa and I watched Corpse Bride in my room.”

I tuned out of their playful bickering, carefully unlocking Alex’s phone to find a blue number two inside of his message app. I pressed my thumb over it, scrunching my face up right when the newest messages appeared in front of my face.

Same place and time?

“Yo, you’re in my seat lil’ girl.”

I jumped, dropping the phone face down in my lap at Alex’s distant slurring. I swallowed thickly, jealously and confusion swirling in my mind as I shoved his phone into my other hoodie pocket. I scowled, watching him get closer while her words flashed through the front of my mind. Same place and time? That means he’s seen her and I’m pretty sure I should know if he’s met with her recently.

“Damn, Jay,” He laughed breathlessly, suddenly leaning his face in front of mine. “Cheer up, baby.”

I bit my cheek, turning my head away from him and feeling his lips press into the corner of my mouth instead. He didn’t seem to notice, just walked around me until he was pulling at my forearms. I slipped forward, grabbing his arms as I stumbled to my feet with wide eyes.

“Alex.” I hissed, shoving at him. “Don’t fucking do that.”

“My fuckin’ bad.” He scoffed, slipping behind me and into the seat. “I just wanted to sit with you.”

“Well, don’t fucking manhandle me next time.” I muttered, sitting back against his thighs.

“Come closer.” He whined annoying, wrapping his arms around my hips.

I shivered, his cold hands slipping beneath my sweatshirt and over my sides. He hummed, pressing his forehead into the back of my neck gently. I forced my tense muscles to relax, allowing myself to slump against his chest back how I was before he got up in the first place.

“I was thinkin’ we could sneak me into your room tonight.” He whispered, hot breath hitting below my ear.

“Oh yeah?” I asked absently, pulling his phone back out of my pocket when it vibrated into my side.

“Yeah.” He mumbled, kissing my earlobe.

I squinted down, moving my hand more in front of my stomach as I waited for the piece of shit to load. I froze, staring into the words with tears burning behind my eyes.

Don’t be late again I can’t wait much longer

I coughed, disguising the sniffle escaping me and forcing the phone back into my pocket.

“I don’t think so.” I huffed, scowling when my phone vibrated hard into my right side.

I pulled it out angrily, glaring down at the screen just for the sickness in my stomach to churn harder as everything with Mike flowed to the front of my mind.

Maybe we can meet up tomorrow I don’t think I can take much longer

This is getting so complicated! What's up with Jasey and Alex? On a side note I'm pretty sure you mixed up fetus and uterus. ;)

Mine, too. It's one of my favourites on here. And poor Jack, everybody is being mean to him. At least Alex is being nicer than before. I don't get his parents decision, like what is that supposed to help? And as we can see, it doesn't stop them from doing it, they do it in the car instead.
parents are so dumb sometimes!

This is literally my favorite fic on this site at the moment. Oh my God, I swear.

It's so beautifully written, and I just want to snuggle Jack sometimes.

I read this story in one night and have been waiting for an update and I'm so glad you're back!! This is so well written. I have experience with someone close to me suffering from drug abuse and you capture it perfectly. I can't wait to see where this goes and I can't wait for happy Jalex!

You're back yeeeeesss...also I actually really like that chapter, I actually never met anyone or read a story about anyone who suffers from drug abuse and it's really interesting to see this perspective or how it's difficult and it fucks up your life. I really don't know anything about drugs, I only have one character who does drugs but it was a short period and I never really had the time to write it or to do some research, so yeah I'm glad you wrote this even if it's not happy and I want to both yell at Jack or Alex it's well written and indeed really important since it's a big part of Alex's background.
