Partners in Crime

Jacks POV

"What you looking at?" Alex asked and sat next to me.
"Something doesn't look right." I said.
"Explain." He said and I looked at him.
"Your actually giving me a chance to explain?" I asked.
"Sure. So explain." He said.
"The crime scene is too clean." I said.
"what does that mean?" He asked and looked at the computer working it out.
"Well the scene is too clean. Not a drop of blood or anything. But the body was dirty. Explain that." I said and spun round in my chair and looked at him.
"Okay, you think he was a body dump." He said and put his feet on the desk.
"Yeah, there's no way someone can kill someone else without making a big mess." I said.
"Good point." He said.

"But where would you kill someone?" He asked and looked at me.
"Personally?" I asked.
"Yeah, if you was to kill someone where would you do it?" He asked.
"Somewhere out of town." I said.
He smiled.
"But where?" He asked.
"I dunno, somewhere out of town, somewhere no one can find the body or the evidence." I said thinking.
"Where's the best place for that?" He asked.
"I dunno." I said.
"What's hot, sunny and a body can quickly decomp unless you move back to the city which what I don't understand." He said.
"The only place I can think of is a desert but that's miles away from here. Unless the person who did this went to this place." I said and spun round in my chair and got this place up on the computer.
"We have to check this place out." He said.
His phone went off.
"But we have to see what happened to John doe first." He said and got up and I followed him.

"What can you tell me about our dear friend John doe?" Alex asked.
"Well John doe isn't a John doe anymore." The girl said.
"What's his name?" I asked.
"Hey there cutie." She smiled at me.
"He's as bent as me so focus Alice." Alex said.
I looked at him.
"Sensing sexual tension." She chuckled.
"I've only been working with him for a day I don't think I'm getting into his pants anytime soon." Alex said.
"If you say so." She said.
"So John doe is called Harry no last name and he's in his early twenty." She said and looked at me.
"And what happened to Harry here?" I asked.
"After being punched a few times. He was stabbed in the back which killed him. Then he was stabbed in the front post mortem." She said.
"Damn he pissed someone off." I said quietly.
"I also found these beauties in his hair." She said and hand Alex a tub with some stuff.
"Well we'll leave you and your dead bodies alone then." Alex said and we both walked out.

"Okay I need to know something. How the fuck did you know I was gay?" I asked as we got out one of the labs.
"Well one, your too cute to be straight. Two, the blonde in your hair is so last year." He said and rolled his eyes.
"Really?" I scoffed.
"Yeah." He chuckled.
"And also your whole body language round me is screaming gay." He said.
"And yours doesn't?" I asked.
"I'm openly gay. If you haven't guessed already." He said and looked through the microscope.
" I guessed." I said.
He looked at me and smirked.
"Your like 5 years older than me." I said.
"How old do you think I am?" He asked and went back to whatever he was doing.
"I dunno,early 30s." I said and Alex laughed.
"I'm 27." He said.
"Oh. You look older." I said.
"Thanks." He chuckled and turned round a d looked at me.
"So this is gonna take a while. Fancy grabbing something decent to eat?" He said.
I looked at him and smiled.
"Sure." I said and Alex smiled and took his lab coat off and walked out the room and I followed him.
