Partners in Crime

Jacks POV

Its been a week since me and Alex got together and I couldn't be any more happier right now and I knew Alex felt the same.

I watched Alex sleep.
I couldn't help it trace my finger up and down his back.
I stopped when he moved a little.
He sighed loudly.
"Don't stop." He muttered.
I chuckled and moved closer to him and pulled him close to me.
"Is it odd that I have never felt safe before?" He asked and rolled over and faced me.
"No, with your background I understand why you never felt safe before." I said quietly.
He smiled and traced his finger up and down my chest.
"Do I have to go to work?" He mumbled and buried his face in my chest.
I chuckled.
" Yeah you do I'm afraid." I said and kissed the top of his head.
He groaned and kissed my chest.
"I don't want to." He said and rolled onto his back.
I smiled and rolled over and sat on him.
"We have half an hour to drag ourselves to the shower and get dressed and get to work." I said.
Alex groaned more.
"Noooo." He said and put his hands over his face.
I smiled and removed his hands from his face.
"Come shower with me." I said and kissed him.
He sighed and looked at me.
"You'll have to drag me there then." He said.
I smirked and got off him and threw him over my shoulder.
"Put me down!" Alex laughed.
"Nope." I chuckled.

After we had our shower and managed to get dressed and walk to work we was half an hour late.
"Hey Alex." Bishop said.
Alex smiled and walked into the lab.
"How's he holding up?" Bishop asked.
"Alright at the moment." I said.
"That's good then. Just keep an eye on him for me." He said and walked off.
I smiled and walked in the lab and stood next to Alex.
"You okay?" I asked.
Alex nodded.
"Yeah. Just need a case to get my mind of everything." He said quietly.
"We have one. But I don't think you'll like it." I said.
"Why?" He asked and looked at me.
"A shooting across town. Apparently its a nasty on as well." I said.
"I need something to distract me. I'm sure its not that bad." He said.
"If you change your mind when we get there then just say." I said and walked over to him.
"I will don't worry." He said quietly and kissed me softly.
"Come on dick head let's go." He said and walked off.
I chuckled and followed him.

"Damn someone really went to town on this family." Alex said as he looked around.
"A waste." I said and knelt beside one of 3 children.
"What you reckon then? Break in gone wrong or father trying to get his own back." Alex said and knelt beside me.
"Why do you say that?" I asked and Alex got up and walked over to a load of pictures.
"The photos. Their all of the woman in the kitchen and the 3 kids." Alex said.
I stood up and walked over and stood next to him.
"There's nothing about the dad." I said.
"Which is why I think its the dad." He said quietly.
"Top or bottom?" He asked.
"Wouldn't mind being bottom for you." I said.
Alex smirked and looked at me out the corner of his eyes.
"I meant the crime scene. But I can take you up on that offer though." He said.
"I'll take up. Will you now? I look forward to it." I smirked and walked upstairs.

I finished upstairs just as Alex finished downstairs.
"Well whatever happened it happened down here and not upstairs." I said as I joined Alex by the car.
"There's more blood in the hall way than the kitchen or sitting room which indicates that the crime happened in the hall way. But saying that 2 of the dead are in the hall way. Then there's one in the kitchen and one in the sitting room." Alex said.
The medical examiner came out with the bodies.
"They was still only babies." Alex said quietly.
"You okay?" I asked and looked at him.
He nodded.
"Yeah, we have to get the son of a bitch who did this because its wrong." He said.
"We'll get him." I said quietly and we went back to the lab.

We got home after getting a take away since neither me or Alex wanted to cook.
"So you was saying earlier?" I said and put my feet on Alex's lap.
"I'm tired. Sorry babe." He said and looked down.
I moved and cuddled into his side.
"Its fine. We can just cuddle and watch shit on TV." I said.
Alex smiled and looked at me.
"That's a good idea." He said and kissed me.
"Glad you like it." I chuckled and got comfy and we watched some fucking shit on TV.
I looked and saw Alex had fell asleep.
I smiled and moved and lead on my back and pulled him gently so he was against my chest.
He sighed loudly and mumbled something which I couldn't hear.
I smiled and watched him sleep until I fell asleep.
