Carlie POV
I met up with Alex and his friends after school like I said I would; I was actually really looking forward to hanging out with them especially Alex.

“Hey guys,” I said happily as I walked up to them.

“Ok now everyone is here lets’ get cracking,” Jack laughed.

We all laughed at how stupid Jacks’ sentence was but he seemed to thing we were laughing with him and not at his stupidity. I went with Alex in his car while Jack, Rian and Cass followed us in their cars. While Alex was driving I looked through his CD collection putting on “Dookie” by Green Day. “Basket Case” came on and Alex and I started singing at the top of our lungs. Once the song ended we both burst out into fits of laughter.

We pulled up to Rian’s house just as everyone else did. There were two boys and a girl sat on Rian’s front steps that I didn’t recognize that I realized must be Zack, Vic and Taylor.
I stood nervously behind my new friends until Alex pulled me forward and said, “Zack, Vic and Tay this is Carlie. Carlie this is Zack, Vic and Tay.”

I looked at all three of the new people and took note that Zack had really big muscles like he worked out, Vic had long hair and was wearing a baseball cap backwards on his head and Tay had brown hair with blond at the bottom.

Zack pulled me into a hug followed by Vic; Tay didn’t hug me instead she just nodded her head, smiled and waved a move which I returned.

We walked into the house and headed straight to the basement. They had a pretty cool set up, they had a few guitars, a drum kit, a bass guitar, a couple of microphones and some amps.

“Carlie come sit down next to me,” Cass said pulling me out of my thoughts; I sat down next to her with her on my left and Vic on my right with Jack sat on his lap making out.
“YO Dude,” Alex was saying to jack but, Jack ignored him so Alex tried again, “YO BARAKAT! Stop making out with Vic and get your ass over here so we can rehearse.”

Jack got off Vic with a sigh and picked up his guitar at that moment I piped up, “Guys this set up is really awesome and I mean awesome.”

“Thanks Carlie, didn’t you say you can play and that you can sing,” Rian said.

“Yeah I can… I mean Yeah I did say that,” I replied scared where this was going.

“Why don’t you sing for us then?” Jack said.

I looked at Alex who was smiling and nodding at me trying to be encouraging, so I got up and picked the acoustic guitar up that was against the wall.

“Ok, I haven’t played in a while so this might not sound the best at all,” I explained as I stood in front of the mic adjusting it to my height.

“I’m sure you will be fine, don’t worry about it,” Alex said reassuringly.

“Ok this song is a song I wrote, I wrote this a while ago so like I said it might not be the best; any this song is called “What to do”,” I said.

I started to play and it felt like I hadn’t stopped playing at all, I started singing and it felt right.
“Tell me what to do, ooh, about you
I already know,
I can see it your eyes
When you’s tellin’ the truth.
Cause its been a long time comin’
So where you runnin’ to?

I carried on singing with everybody staring at me with their mouths wide open. I got to the final part of the song my voice ringing around the basement and finally getting into it.

“You got your way of speaking
Even the air you’re breathin’
You could be anything
But you don’t know what to believe in
You got the world before you
If I could only show you
That you don’t know What To Do.”

I played the final chord and everyone started cheering and I couldn’t help the small smile that crept up on my face.

The most unexpected thing happened though, Alex grabbed me pulling me closer to him and kissed me and I kissed him back.
My whole brain went to mush as he was kissing me. The cliché fireworks and butterflies were happening; which just proves it doesn’t just happen in the movies.
Alex pulled away and looked at me and I just managed to smile, inside I was doing somersaults though.

Jack was the first to speak, “WOW CARLIE THAT WAS AMAZING.”

“What was the kiss or the song? The song was amazing to by the way,” Vic said.

“I’d say the kiss more than the song,” I replied blushing I carried on speaking though, “Did you guys really like the song because that’s the first time I’ve ever sung one of my own songs?”

“You were amazing Carlie, when you sang, I ….. well we were not expecting that. We can just forget the kiss if you want it was impulsive of me,” Alex said hanging his head near the end of what he was saying.

I was the one to act impulsively then which is something I rarely ever did and I lifted Alex’s head up.

“Did you not hear me reply to Vic’s question to Jack, I said the kiss was amazing,” I said to Alex placing my hand on his cheek and then I said the words I’d wanted to say since he kissed me the first time, “Kiss me again.”

Alex didn’t need to be told twice and he leant forward; it just felt like we were the only two people in the world.
We kissed again and the fireworks and the butterflies starting attacking me again.

ok here is the new chapter sorry for not writing for days. I should have a chapter up tomorrow I have pre written about 2 more chapters.

Wonder what will happen with Carlie and Alex will it be smooth sailing or will there be trouble involved.
