Dancing with the wolves

Alex's POV

"I'm worried Jack. Something is wrong." I said to Jack since we was both up early for some stupid reason.
"When Aidan and Will are ready to talk then they will do, right now if they want some space then we have to respect that and give them space." Jack said.
"But.." I started but Jack stopped me by kissing me.
"No buts Lex. They will call us when they are ready." Jack said quietly.
I sighed and nodded.
"What do we tell the kids?" I asked.
"We tell them that Aid and Will are away and that they're staying with us for a few days." Jack said.
I nodded.
"I have this feeling something has happened to the baby." I said quietly and looked down and put my hand on my stomach.
"Maybe it has but right now we don't think about that because we don't know and we have to wait for Aidan and Will to phone us." He said.
I sighed.
"I know you don't like not knowing anything but for now you have to respect Aidan and Will wishes and give them space." Jack said and kissed me.
I nodded and rested my head on Jacks chest since I was sat on the side.
"Tea?" Jack asked.
I smiled and nodded.
"Come up then your highness." He chuckled.
I couldn't help but smile a little more.

"Grumpy?" Flo asked.
"Yeah sweetie?" I said and flopped onto my lap which made me grunt since she landed in the golden area.
"Where's mummy and daddy?" She asked and messed with my jeans.
"They've gone away but they'll be back soon." I said and kissed the side of her head.
"How long?" She asked.
"They will be back by the end of the week." I said.
She nodded and went to join Jack and Zig in the garden.
I sighed and cleaned the mess what the kids had made.

"I don't fucking get it!" Rowan groaned as he was sat with me doing his homework.
"All you have to do is read this chapter and pick put quotes." I said.
"I don't want to fucking read it or out stupid quotes. When the hell am I going to quote fucking Romeo and Juiet." He ranted.
It was safe to say Rowan was in a foul mood and his problems weren't helping him much.
"You never know, you might find someone and feel the need to quote it to them." I said.
"Yeah like who would want a fucking fucked up person like me." He snapped.
"There's someone out there Row. Despite all your problems there will be someone out there who will love you." I said.
Rowan sighed and ran his hands through his hair and pulled it slightly.
"Have you heard from Aid or Will?" I asked.
"Nope. I went past there earlier and there was no one home." He said.
I nodded slightly.
I heard the doorbell go.
"I got it!" I said loudly and went ton the door.

I opened it and saw Will and Aid.
"Is everything okay?" I asked.
Aidan shook her head.
"Mummy! Daddy!" Zig and Flo said loudly and ran over to them.
"Go careful." Will said as he picked both of them up.
"Mummy?" Zig asked.
"Hey baby." Aidan said quietly and kissed the top of his head.
She walked ton the kitchen and poured herself a large glass of wine.
Rowan looked at me confused and I looked at Will.
"Hey how about you two go up to bed and I will be up in a second and tuck you in." Will said and put the kids down and they ran off.
"We'll tell you once the kids go to bed." Will said and looked at Aidan with a worried expression on his face.
I nodded and Jack came down stairs.
"Aidan you sure its wise to drink?" Jack asked.
Will sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Don't see why it doesn't matter anymore, its not like I have a baby anymore." She spat and sniffed.
I looked at Will who looked down.
"Will?" I said quietly.
"We don't have a baby anymore. Because the useless cow here couldn't keep it cooking long enough." Aidan said and slammed the glass down on the side.
Will walked over to her and pulled her into his chest and she broke down into tears.
I looked at Rowan who looked shell shocked right now since Aidan hasn't been this bad for a while.
"Rowan can you go and put the kids to bed for me please." Will asked.
"Yeah sure." He said and went upstairs.

We was sat down on the sofa and Aidan had fallen asleep on Wills lap as he messed with her hair.
"What happened?" Jack asked.
"We don't know. He just seemed to of died but we don't know how." Will said quietly.
"We're so sorry." Jack said.
"Its okay. We just need a bit of space but Aid want to see the kids but she stills wants some space." He said quietly.
"We understand." I said.
"If you two want to stay here for a while then your more than welcomed to." I said and Will smiled.
"I think its for the best at the moment. But I'll speak to Aid later when she wakes up again." He said.
I nodded.
"We got her old room?" He asked stood up picking Aidan up.
"Yeah." I said and he smiled and went upstairs.

"I wasn't expecting that." Jack said quietly.
"Neither was I but its just one of those horrible things and now we have to worry about Aidan going back to her old habits." I said.
"I think Will is doing a good job on looking after her." Jack said and I smiled and nodded.
"Dad?" Rowan asked as he walked into the sitting room.
"What's up bud?" Jack asked.
"Has Aid really lost the baby?" He asked.
"I'm afraid so buddy." Will said sadly as he walked into the kitchen and got a beer and sat on the sofa.
Rowan nodded and walked off looking down.
"Are you alright Will?" I asked.
"Fan-fucking-tasic." He said sarcastically and had a mouthful of beer.
"Want to talk to someone about it?" I asked and Jack got up and went upstairs out the way.

"Does it get better?" He asked and looked at me.
"I would lie and say yes but it doesn't really." I said and looked down and thought about Sky.
"I don't want to think how much Aid is hurting, because this really fucking hurts for me." He sniffed.
I got up and walked over and pulled him to my side.
"As long as your by her side she'll be okay." I said.
Will sniffed and nodded.
"Will?" Aidan said as she walked into the sitting room.
"Right here babe." Will said and moved from my side and sniffed.
" Having some gay time with dad?" She asked.
"Yeah." Will said quietly.
She chuckled quietly.
"I'll leave you two alone." I said and got up.
"Alex?" Will said and I turned round and looked at him.
"Thanks." He said.
"No need to thank me." I said and went upstairs.
Jack was fast asleep hogging the bed and covers.
"OK turd move over so I can get into bed." I said and Jack snorted and rolled over taking the covers with him.
I rolled my eyes and got io bed and cuddled into his back and fell asleep.
