This Ride Is A Wild One

“I can’t do this Cass” Amy sat in the living room, cuddled into Cass’ chest.
“I can’t tell him. We’ve already been through so much. He’s in the middle of making an album, I can’t just throw all of this at him”
“Amy listen, you need to tell him. Do you want me to tell him?”
“Would you?” Amy looked up to Cass.
“Of course. Now go clean yourself up before he gets here” Cass rubbed Amy’s back as she stood to go freshen up.
As Amy reached the bathroom, she felt her phone vibrating in her pocket. Puling it out, she saw it was Jack calling her. Letting out a breath, she answered.
“Hey” she tried to say cheerily.
“Hey gorgeous, I’m just driving back from the airport now. I can’t wait to see you” he smiled down the phone.
“Yeah, I can’t wait to see you too” she straightened herself up, trying to stay composed.
“I’ll see you soon. Love you”
“Love you too”
Amy placed her phone down on the counter top and looked up into the mirror.
“Come on Amy, he’ll be fine with it. You’re just overacting” She tried to smile at herself, but failed.
“Cass will tell him, so you don’t have to worry about anything. Pull yourself together!” she spoke while looking at her reflection. She ran the tap, swilling her face with cold water and patting it dry. She heard the door downstairs opening.
“Oh god” she swallowed.

“Hey Cass” Jack smiled as he was greeted by her. He pulled her into a one armed hug as he dropped his bag onto the floor.
“How’ve you been?” he smiled at her.
“Good good, yourself?”
“Yeah we’ve been working hard. This album is really coming along great though” he smiled proudly.
“How’s Amy and where is she?” he looked around.
“About that. We need to talk about something” Cass lead him into the kitchen.

Amy silently crept downstairs into the living room out of sight from Jack. She could faintly hear muffled voices coming from the kitchen. She began to get nervous, knowing that Cass was telling him about everything at that very moment. She began to fiddle with her hands as the door opened. She looked up to see Jack stood there, a small smile gracing his beautiful face. He walked towards her, enveloping her into a big hug. She couldn’t contain it anymore and began to cry into his chest.
“Shh, it’ll all be fine Amy” Jack kissed the top of her head.
“Listen to me, I’m here, Cass is here, you’re not dealing with this on your own” he softly stroked her hair.
“Jack you can’t be here though. You have an album to record” she sniffed, looking up at him.
“And you’re more important at the moment” he smiled, placing his fingers under her chin.
“We’ll sort all of this out together and I’ll be here to look after you” he placed a soft kiss to her lips. He softly ran his thumbs along her cheeks, wiping away her tears.
“Now, I’ve missed you so much so we’re gonna spend the rest of the day cuddled up on the couch eating crap and watching whatever movies you like. Sound good?” he smiled. She smiled back, rubbing her eyes with her sleeves.
“Definitely”
“Oh and one more thing” Jack smiled cheekily at her.
“You’re coming to LA with me while we make this album”
“What? Jack I can’t! You know that I can’t”
“Yes, and after everything that has happened, I’ve spoken to Matt and we both agreed that your safety is important. You can’t stay here while I’m away”
“What about work? I’m supposed to be back in a week”
“I’m sure if you explain to them what’s happening, they’ll give you more time off. Even better, you can quit”
“Jack, I can’t just quit my job!”
“Why not? I can easily provide for the both of us. You don’t have to worry about anything”
“Jack no. I refuse. I’m not going to be known as the girl who is living off of your fame and fortune. You know it’s bound to happen. Thank you for the gesture, but I just can’t quit. I’ll start looking for jobs that will allow me to travel with you. Maybe one day I can start blogging and that will suffice” she smiled at him.
“Okay, as long as you’re happy”
“As long as I have you, I’ll be extremely happy” she grinned, pulling him down into a kiss.
