This Ride Is A Wild One

“How are you today?” Jack smiled down the phone.
“I’m doing good. Cass and I are just out shopping at the moment. What are you guys up to today?”
“Cool. We’re recording a new song actually. The record company loved that song we played for you. They said it should definitely be on the next album”
“That’s so good!” Amy grinned.
“I just know it’s going to be my favourite on the album” she beamed.
“Yeah, we all love the song. Hopefully the fans will love it just as much”
“I know they’ll love it!”
“Anyway, I better get going. Looks like we’re gonna start recording again. I love you”
“Okay, don’t you boys work too hard. Love you too”
“You know we never do” Jack laughed.
“Obviously, I’ll speak to you tomorrow”
“Miss you. Bye” Jack hung up the phone, putting it in his jacket pocket and walking over to his waiting guitar.
“That Amy?” Alex looked up.
“Yeah” Jack smiled.
“How is she?”
“Yeah, she’s good. Just out shopping”
“Ew”
“Don’t act like you don’t love shopping Alex. We’ve been here just over a week and you’ve bought a case full of clothes”
“Hey! Some of them are presents”
“For who, Alex?”
“Me…” he said quietly. Jack just shook his head and laughed.
“Okay can we get Alex in here?” a guy shouted through from the recording studio. Alex stood, lyrics sheet in hand, ready to record the latest song he had written.
“So what’s this one called Alex?”
“Cinderblock Garden. I kinda took inspiration from Jack and Amy for this one”
“Wait, really?” Jack was shocked.
“Yeah, even though this song is about the guy wanting to live in a city, but the girl wants a garden, it’s about how the couple compromise to make things work because they love each other so much. You guys have been through some really tough times. Hell, really really tough, but you still make your relationship work because you love each other so much”
“Damn, that’s deep” Jack laughed.
“But really, thanks man” he smiled at his best friend who stuck his headphones on, and waited to be given the go ahead to start singing.

“Ugh, I need this!” Amy sat down, coffee in hand.
“You wanna go for something to eat next?” Cass asked, taking a sip of her own drink.
“Yeah, I’m starved!”
“Good, so am I. I could eat a horse!” Cass groaned, rubbing her stomach as she leant back. Amy laughed at her friend.
“Who knew shopping could make you so hungry?” Amy laughed. She turned her attention to the guy who was standing next to her.
“Umm” he stood fidgeting with his fingers, looking around the room.
“Y-you’re Amy, r-right?”
“Yeah, that’s me” Amy assumed he was an All Time Low fan.
“I-I don’t want to ruin your day, but I can’t stay long, so here” he handed her a folded up piece of paper.
“P-please just read this. I have to go” and without another word, he was gone.
“Well that was weird” Cass laughed.
Amy eyed the piece of paper, unfolding it. She sat, eyes scanning over the words in disbelief.
“We need to go” Amy stood, and began to walk out of the coffee shop.
“Amy?” Cass called, standing up and following after her friend.
“What’s up?” Cass caught up with her.
“I’ll tell you later. We just need to get home” Amy rushed towards her car and quickly got in, locking the doors as soon as Cass had gotten in.
“Can you tell me what’s going on now?” Amy just started the car and handed Cass the piece of paper and began to drive off.

I shouldn’t be telling you this, but I need to warn you.
I used to work for that bitch, until I found out what she was actually up to.
Please, stay safe. Do not be fooled by any strangers being weirdly nice to you. They work for her. As soon as you read this message, you need to go home. She’ll know that I’ve spoken to you and be after me. Do not worry about me, I will be fine.
Nothing will stop her until she has Jack back in her life. And that means she wants you out of the picture for good. She needs help, but refuses to believe it.
