This Ride Is A Wild One

“And we’ll be missing you” Alex strummed on his guitar as he finished the song. All four boys sat and turned towards Amy to see her reaction.
“I… I’m speechless” Amy looked at Alex in awe.
“So do you like it?” Alex’s face lit up.
“It’s beautiful. Oh my god, I absolutely love it!” She grinned.
“The record label is going to love it” she grinned, her smile faltering as soon as she remembered what was coming.
“I’m gonna miss you guys” she looked down at the floor, remembering that the boys had to leave for LA in the morning.
“Hey” Jack moved to sit next to her. He pulled her in, kissing the side of her head.
“I really don’t want to leave you, especially because I know it’s not safe, and your shoulder hasn’t healed, but Cass will be back tomorrow. Talk about timing” he laughed. Amy still frowned.
“It’s just that I lost you for so long and it hurt. This will be even longer” she frowned. The guys were spending the next 2 months in LA recording their new album. Once back, they will have 2 weeks off before they have to fly out again for another 2 months. As Alex is writing most of the songs, he’ll be staying in LA for the 2 weeks they have off.
“Come with us then” Amy looked to Jack, shocked.
“Jack… I can’t”
“She’s right Jack, you know how the record label are about bringing partners” Zack sighed.
“Screw them, what else are you going to do? You can’t work, and you can barely dress yourself at the moment. I need to know you’re okay 24/7”
“Jack, you have a phone. You also have a laptop which you can skype from. You’ll be busy all the time anyway, you’d have no time for me”
“But I’d make time for you, you know I would”
“I know that Jack, but you’ll just have to accept the fact that I’m staying here. I’ll meet Cass at the airport tomorrow and fill her in on everything. She can live with me just like when you guys were on tour” Amy smiled at Jack. He looked almost hurt.
“Jack” Amy sighed, placing her hand on his cheek.
“I’ll be fine” he looked up to meet her eyes and sighed, giving in.
“Okay. But if anything happens, and I mean anything, I want you to call me and I’ll be on the next available flight!” Amy chuckled.
“Okay” she smiled at him, kissing the tip of his nose.

“So tiiirreeddd” Alex groaned, leaning his head on the window of the car. Jack had offered to drive Alex to the airport so that he would not have to leave his car there. Rian would be driving Zack so that Cass could pick up his car later on.
“Stop whining. I haven’t heard Amy complain once” Jack looked over to Amy who was fast asleep in the passenger seat. He leant over and shoved her arm. She jolted up, head-butting the window she was leaning on.
“OW” she rubbed her head with her free arm.
“We’re nearly there, so wake up lazy ass” Jack laughed, stifling a yawn himself.

Zack, Rian and Alex all stood waiting for Amy and Jack to separate. The pair stood embraced in each others arms. Well, as much as Amy could with her arm in a sling.
“I promise I’ll call you when I can” Jack nuzzled his head into her hair.
“Wow Jack, so clingy”
“Way to ruin a perfectly good moment” he laughed. Amy pulled away, leaning up to kiss him. When Jack tried to pull away, she pulled him back in, Jack grinning into the kiss. He eventually pulled away as he had to check in.
“I love you” he smiled at her.
“I love you too” she smiled sadly. Jack gave her one last kiss before departing. She waved the guys off until she could no longer see them. Now she had to wait until Cass’ flight landed.

“CASS” Amy called to her friend, gaining her attention. Cass grinned at her friend until she noticed the sling. She met Amy was a careful hug.
“How was LA?”
“Amazing! So hot as well” Cass grinned.
“So how’s the album looking?”
“Amazing. I’m so proud of this one, I can’t wait until it’s completed. Anyway, enough about me, what the heck happened to you? Did you do something clumsy?” Cass laughed as they walked towards their parked cars, Amy handing Cass Rian’s keys. Amy looked to the floor knowing she would have to tell Cass about what happened. She didn’t want to relive the memory, but her friend deserved to know.
“It’s a long story” Amy sighed as they stopped next to their cars.
“I’ll tell you everything when we get back, but to put a long story short, I got shot”

“Oh my god, Amy, WHY DID YOU NOT CALL ME? I would’ve been on the next flight!”
“No, I didn’t want to interrupt what you were doing”
“Amy, you’re one of my best friends, I don’t know what I’d do if god forbid anything worse had of happened” Amy sighed, knowing she should’ve told Cass earlier. Cass stood up, pulling Amy into a hug.
“I’m just glad you’re here in one piece”
“There’s still one thing that’s bothering me though” Amy sighed.
“I still don’t understand why Jack was acting happy with her, and kissing her. It still hurts, I can’t get that image out of my head”
“Have you spoken to Jack about it?”
“No. He doesn’t know I was at the store that day”
“Maybe ask him when he gets back. Surely he’ll explain everything and put your mind at ease”
“Maybe. Anyway, thanks for staying with me” Amy smiled at her friend.
“Anytime! We need to catch up on some much needed girly time! I have one question though”
“Shoot”
“What did you do with the ring?”

I've had really bad writers block the past few days. I really wanted to write something, but I just sat staring at a blank word document. I finally came up with something though, so apologies if it's a bit crap :)
