My Friends Are Everything

Don't You Ever Let Me Go

“Oh my God where the hell is my purse?” Jenna yelled as she searched Spencer’s apartment for her purse the next day.

“Babe calm down, I’m sure its around here somewhere,” Spencer muttered as he looked under the table.

“Its not here! I looked everywhere,” she huffed.

“Did you check in the truck?” he asked.

“No, wait…fuck!” she groaned and plopped down on the couch.

“What?” he asked as he sat next to her.

“I left it in Alex’s kitchen,” she whined.

“Do you want me to go with you to pick it up?” he asked.

“No, its fine, I’ll get Nina to go with me,” she shrugged.

“Are you ready to talk about last night?” he asked a few minutes later.

“There’s nothing to talk about,” she muttered.

“There obviously is. You came from the bathroom crying. Did Alex say something to you?” he asked.

“Its none of your business Spencer,” she spat.

“Look I’m just trying to help,” he defended.

“I don’t want your help and I don’t need it!” she snapped.

“Look you don’t need to fucking attack me for worrying about you!” he yelled.

“You’re the one who’s getting in my fucking business!” she yelled standing.

“You’re the one fucking bitching at me for no fucking reason!” he yelled, towering over her.

Jenna held her ground and glared up at him.

“Well you fucking pissed me off by getting in my business!” she shouted.

“Well excuse me for caring about my fucking bitch of a girlfriend!” he yelled.

“Well now you can watch your bitch of a girlfriend walk out the door!” she snarled as she walked out the door.

“Jenna wait,” he called as she walked down the steps.

“Fuck you!” she spat as she walked out of the complex.

An hour later a barefoot Jenna trudged into the house.

“Smack me if I ever decide to walk home from Spencer’s again,” she panted as she collapsed on the couch.

“Why the hell did you walk?” Nina asked as she flipped through a magazine.

“Because we got into a huge ass fight,” Jenna groaned as she tossed her heels on the floor.

“About what?” Mandy asked.

“He was getting in my business. He doesn’t get that I don’t need to tell him everything,” she huffed.

“He’s kind of clingy,” Nina commented.

“Tell me about it,” Jenna grumbled.

“Do you still want to be with him?” Mandy asked.

“In all honesty; not really,” Jenna muttered.

“So why are you still with him?” Nina asked.

“I have no idea. I’m going to end it soon though. What are you guys doing tonight?” Jenna asked.

“I’m going out for drinks with Sara,” Nina muttered.

“I’m spending the night with Rian. Why?” Mandy asked.

“I just wanted someone to go with me over Alex’s; I left my purse there last night. I’ll just go by myself though,” Jenna shrugged.

“You might want to go soon then; its supposed to be a blizzard tonight,” Nina warned.

Around six that night, Jenna looked out the window and noticed that it had started snowing. Deciding to hurry up and get her purse before the storm got worse, she grabbed her keys and cell-phone. She walked downstairs and grabbed her coat off the hook.

“Are you heading out now?” Nina asked as they made their way out the door.

“Yeah, I might as well get this over with,” Jenna sighed as she locked up.

“Alright, be careful driving. Text me when you get back,” Nina called as they got in the separate cars.

Jenna nodded and got in her car. She put the key in the ignition and blasted the heat. Once the car heated up, she pulled away from the curb and drove off, flicking on her windshield wipers. The snow storm had gotten worse by the time she got to Alex’s. After she parked in the driveway, she got out of the car and rushed to the door. She rapidly knocked and pulled her jacket closer to her body as a cold wind blew. About a minute later Alex answered. His eyes widened when he saw her.

“Uh…hey,” he greeted as he stepped aside to let her in.

“Hey,” she muttered.

“What are you doing here?” he asked awkwardly.

“I just came to get my purse,” she muttered as she walked through the living room.

She noticed that it was a disaster; trash was everywhere and his furniture was even out of place. She walked into the kitchen and it was just as bad as the living room. She saw her purse sitting on the counter; right where she left it. She sighed in relief and grabbed it. She made sure everything was in there and turned to Alex.

“Must’ve been one wild party last night,” she laughed lightly.

“Yeah, pretty wild. I’ll have to clean everything up eventually,” he muttered.

“You’re not going to do it now?” she asked.

“No, I’ll just do it whenever I get around to it,” he shrugged.

“Alex,” she whined as she shrugged off her jacket.

“What?” he laughed as he followed her into the living room.

“You know I hate things being a mess. Go get me a trash bag,” she smiled lightly as she hung her jacket up.

He nodded and grabbed a box of black trash bags.

“I’ll help you,” he muttered as he handed them to her.

“No you won’t! I can’t stand people helping me when I clean. Now sit!” she commanded with a smile.

Alex smiled and shook his head as he sat down on the couch. He watched as Jenna picked up all the trash in the living room and in the kitchen. She even swept the floor in the kitchen and vacuumed the floor in the living room. The only thing he was allowed to do was fix the furniture.

“It looks better than it did before the party,” he complimented.

“That’s the point. I should get going now,” Jenna muttered as she reached for her jacket.

“I don’t think you’re going anywhere,” he muttered as he looked out the window.

“What are you talking about?” she asked as she walked up to him.

She looked out the window and saw that the blizzard was hitting full force. You could barely see through the snow and it was already piling up on the ground.

“You can stay here until the storm passes,” he muttered.

She nodded and sat down on the couch.

“Want to watch a movie?” he asked.

“Do you not know me?” she laughed.

“I know you hate movies, but there’s nothing else to do,” he shrugged.

“Fine but I’m picking it,” she grumbled as she grabbed the remote.

Alex nodded and sat next to her as she flipped through the channels. Jenna smiled widely and selected one of the few movies she loved.

“Tangled?” he asked.

“Shut up! I love this movie,” she smiled as the movie started.

An hour and a half later, the movie ended. Alex walked over to the window and moved the curtain aside. It was lightly snowing and the snow was thick on the ground. He turned back to Jenna with a wide grin on his face.

“Want to go play in the snow?” he asked.

Jenna smiled and nodded eagerly. She jumped up and pulled her jacket on. She borrowed a pair of Alex’s gloves made her way outside with Alex following her.

“Its so pretty!” she sang as she twirled around in the snow.

Alex laughed lightly and twirled around with her. They soon began building a snowman which failed miserably.

“God we suck!” Jenna huffed as she kicked at their poor excuse of a snowman.

“Its not that bad,” Alex laughed.

She smirked and picked up a handful of snow as he tried fixing their snowman. She patted the snow into a ball and chucked it at him. He gasped as it hit him in the face.

“Oh you are so going to get it,” he smirked as he jumped up.

Jenna squealed and ran off. She huffed as her heeled boots slowed her down. She yelped as Alex tackled her to the ground. She landed on her stomach and groaned as Alex fell on top of her.

“God I’m getting old,” she muttered as she turned on her back.

“Just remember I’m older than you,” he pouted as he hovered over her.

“Yeah, you old man, you’ll be twenty five in two weeks,” she smirked.

“Don’t remind me,” he muttered.

“What are your plans for your birthday?” she asked as she rested her hands beside her head.

“I think I’ll be on my honeymoon,” he grumbled.

“Lucky you,” Jenna smirked.

“Yeah, lucky me,” he sighed.

They fell into a comfortable silence as Alex remained hovered over her. He looked down at her and she smiled lightly up at him. He smiled back and took in her features. He loved the way the snowflakes stuck to her blonde hair and the way her eyes sparkled in the moonlight. His gaze traveled down to her lips. Her smile slowly fell as he started leaning in. He brushed his lips against hers and bit his lip, awaiting her reaction. Jenna couldn’t help but leaned up and press her lips to his. Alex kissed back softly and slowly put his weight on her. She placed a hand on his cheek and deepened the kiss. She slightly pushed him away when his tongue traced her bottom lip.

“We have to stop,” she breathed out.

He nodded and rolled off of her. He laid next to her in the snow. Jenna turned her head to face him. She smiled lightly and placed her hand over his. Alex turned his head towards her and furrowed his eyebrows.

“Its cold,” she pouted.

He smiled lightly and opened his arms. Jenna crawled into them and rested her head on his shoulder. He immediately curled his arms around her body.

“What happened to us Alex? Things were so much easier when we were teenagers,” she muttered.

“We grew up,” he shrugged.

“Can I ask you something?” she asked.

“Of course,” she nodded.

“Why are you with Sabrina if you’re not happy with her?” she asked.

He let out a deep sigh. She folded her arms on his chest and rested her chin on them; looking up at him.

“This is going to sound really selfish, but I don’t want to end up alone,” he muttered.

“Alex you are a fucking rock star; there is thousands of girls who would kill to be in Sabrina’s place. There is no way in hell you’ll end up alone,” she muttered.

“What those girls don’t realize though is that they’re just like Sabrina. They would blow my money like Sabrina does. They would spill every single detail about me like Sabrina does. They would do everything like Sabrina does. Those girls are a dime a dozen! I don’t want that; I want a girl that’s the one in a million,” he muttered.

“So why Sabrina then?” she asked.

“She was just there and I figured that the girl I want to be with didn’t want me so Sabrina seemed right at the moment,” he told her.

“Well what if the girl secretly wanted to be with you?” she whispered.

“That would sure as hell make my day,” he muttered as he looked up at the stars.

Jenna smiled lightly and leaned over him. Alex looked up at her and smiled as she leaned down. She gently pressed her lips to his and smiled as he kissed back. She pulled away from him and Alex frowned; thinking she was regretting what they were doing. She held out her hand and he took it. She pulled him up and wrapped her arms around his neck. She kissed him roughly and smirked when he pulled her tightly into him.

“Come warm me up,” she smirked and tugged on his hand.

He smiled and let him lead her into the house. As soon as he shut the door, he grabbed her and lightly pushed her against the wall. He roughly kissed her and shrugged of his jacket. Jenna did the same and kicked off her shoes and socks. Alex grabbed her thighs and she jumped up and wrapped her legs tightly around her hips. He let out a throaty moan as she grinded herself against his erection.

“Do you regret it?” Alex muttered minutes after they made love that night.

Jenna looked up at him and smiled lightly.

“No, I don’t. Do you?” she asked.

He smiled and shook his head. He lightly kissed her and wrapped his arm around her waist when she turned her back to him. He buried his face into her neck, softly kissing the skin.

“I love you,” he whispered.

“I love you too,” Jenna smiled.

Meanwhile, Spencer was walking into the club he worked at. He walked to the back and clocked in. He walked back out and noticed that the club was pretty full already. He walked behind the bar; prepared to take orders until he saw a familiar face. He smiled lightly before walking up to her.

“Sara?” he asked as he stopped in front of her.

Sara turned to him and smiled.

“Hey Spencer! You work here?” she asked.

“Yeah, are you here by yourself?” he asked.

“No, I’m here with Nina. She’s off dancing with some guy,” she shrugged.

“That does sound like Nina,” he laughed lightly.

“So did Jenna come here with you?” she asked.

“No, we got into a pretty bad fight earlier today,” he muttered.

“I’m sorry. What was it about?” she asked.

“It was really stupid actually. We’ve been fighting a lot lately. I just don’t know anymore Sara,” he sighed as he buried his face in his hands.

“I’m sure you two will get through this. You two are probably just going through a rough patch,” she shrugged.

“I really don’t think we’ll be lasting much longer. I know she’s not really in love with me. Its obvious she has feelings for Alex. I know she’d rather be with Alex than me,” he muttered.

“Well do you love her?” she asked.

“I honestly don’t know anymore; I really don’t. I love her to death, but I’m not sure if I’m in love with her anymore. We’ve been together for about six months now. She’s a great girl and I’ll always care about her, but I don’t think there’s anything worth saving in this relationship,” he muttered.

“Well whatever happens, I’ll be here for you,” Sara smiled lightly as grabbed his hand.

Spencer smiled back and gave her hand a light squeeze.
