What's My Age Again?

"Are you sure it looks okay?" I asked Kellin

The Halloween party started an hour ago and I was still stressing over my costume. Our parents were already at work, but they reminded us that our curfew was at midnight. Of course we weren't going to come back by then and they wouldn't know.

"Yes Jack it looks fine." He said for the four time. "I actually really like it!"

"Okay I'll try not to ask anymore." I said and he rolled her eyes knowing that it was a lie.

"I got us another Über, but it's taking a little while to get here since its Halloween." He said.

"Okay, I'll tell Alex we'll be there in a few minutes."

I opened a new message to Alex and texted him.

From Jack:
We'll be there in a few minutes. We're just waiting on our über to come get us.

From Alex:
Oh good! l thought you were bailing on me, but take your time.

From Jack:
Lol no I would never!

"What did he say?" Kellin asked.

"He thought that I was bailing on him. I told him that I would never do that." I said.

"Aw that's cute. You're probably going to make his whole night!"

"You really think so?"

"Yeah of course. He's going to die when he sees you in this costume." He said making me blush. "The driver is here so we can go."

We made sure everything was turned off and locked before leaving. This time I wasn't nervous the entire car ride, I was just anxious to see Alex. I paid the über driver when he stopped us at Alex's house.

The door was unlocked so we just opened it and walked in. We walked straight into the kitchen knowing that most of the guys would be there since that's where all the alcohol was. I stopped to say hi and Zack and Rian when we passed them in the living room. They were playing beer pong against two other guys that I didn't know. We made it to the kitchen we saw Vic, Alex, Tony, Matt, and some other guy I've never met before.

"Hey!" We greeted everyone.

Alex stood up from his spot to hug me. "Finally you're here!" He joked and I giggled.

His face was painted to look like the joker and his hair was green. He looked like himself still though.

"I like your costume." I told him.

"I like yours better. You look really good!" He complemented me.

"Thank you." I smiled up at him.

"Oh let me introduce you to my friend. Josh this is Jack the guy I've been telling you about and Jack this is my friend Josh." I wonder what he told Josh about me.

"It's nice to meet you, Jack." Josh said in a British accent that caught me off guard.

"It's nice to meet you too." I said and we shook hands.

"Now all I need to do is meet Matthew's girlfriend and I'll be all caught up." Josh laughed.

"She couldn't come tonight, she's went to some party on her campus." Matt said.

"What school does she go to again?" Alex asked.

"University of Baltimore." Matt answered.

"Oh she goes to school with Jack!" Alex exclaimed and I gulped hoping they wouldn't ask me any tough questions.

“Yeah there’s lots of people that go there since the campus is kind of big." I said before they could ask anything else.

"Yeah that's true." Matt said dropping the subject.

"You wanna go get something to drink?" Alex asked and I quickly said yes.

We walked over to where the fridge was and he pulled out the bottle of Cîroc from the freezer. I didn't even notice that Kellin had left somewhere with Vic. Now I was okay enough to be around Alex with needing Kellin there.

"Josh's accent caught me off guard." I told Alex as he made my drink for me.

"Yeah I met him when we toured with his band You me at Six a few years back. His accent used to make me jealous but I’m over it." He chuckled and handed me my cup.

"Thanks. I really like British accents." I said.

"Then you'll love talking to my parents." He playfully rolled his eyes.

"Your parents are British?"

"Well I was born in Essex and we moved here when I was like six." He told me.

"Where's your accent?" I asked and he laughed.

"I lost it, but I can fake a pretty good one." He told me.

"No one wants to hear that." Josh said as he walked past is in the kitchen and Alex flipped him off.
Alex reached in the fridge and grabbed a beer out for himself. I grimaced at it imagining how gross it was going to taste.

"Don't make that face, it's really good! Try it." He held the Budlight up to me. I had it before and I knew all the other times I tasted it, it was disgusting.

"Noooo I know it's gross." I whined.

"Just try it again!" He handed me the bottle. I pouted and took a sip from the beer bottle. It was still one of my most disgusting things I've ever tried.

"Ew God no it's bad." I quickly handed him the bottle back and took a sip of my own drink to wash away the bad taste.

"You're dramatic." He chuckled and took a sip.

"Nu-un!"

"Yeah-huh!" He teased and I lightly hit his arm.

I still hadn't seen Vic and Kellin since they left the kitchen. I thought they might be playing beer pong but when I looked I saw Mike and Tony playing against Rian and Zack.

"Where do you think Kellin and Vic are?" I asked Alex and he smirked.

"If I had to guess I would say they were probably fucking in one of our guess rooms." He laughed.

"Ew." I muttered.

"You become indifferent about it after you've walked in on them." He shrugged.

"Oh my God you saw them?" I chuckled.

"Yeah and the image is still burned into my memory. Kellin sitting on top of Vic and bouncing up and down and-."

"-No no I don't want that memory to transfer to my mind." I said, stopping him before he could continue.

"Sorry." He laughed.

"Alex, you have a lighter?" Josh asked as he held up a bag of weed they were about to smoke in the backyard.

"Yeah it's in my room, hold on." He told them. "Come with me." He told me and grabbed my hand so I could follow him upstairs to his room. I guess he didn't want to leave me by myself as he went to go look for the lighters.

As we passed one of the guest rooms I could hear what sounded like Kellin crying out Vic's name. I swear I could have thrown up.

Alex opened his door to reveal his very clean room. I wasn't expecting it to look so neat and organized. I guess I assumed since he was a rock star his room would be messy. His room was decorated really nicely. It was an ocean blue color with nice accent pictures and other decorations.

"Your room looks great." I told him and he chuckled as he looked through different drawls.

"My mom decorated it for me and it's usually not this clean. I just did this become I knew I would have company." He pulled out two lighters from his nightstand. "Hold on I'll be right back." He said and left to go back downstairs.

I sat down on his bed looked around his room some more. It was really impressive, he even had tiny plants on a shelf. I wasn't waiting long for him to come back. He walked in and closed the door behind him. I looked up to see why he did it and he was taking his shirt off. I was scared to say anything.

"Sorry, I waste beer on myself so I need to change shirts really quick." He said and I exhaled in relief.

"Yeah go ahead." I tried not to stare so hard at his shirtless body but it was hard. He had a hairy chest and the hair went down his stomach and into his pants. I licked my lips as I watched him.

"What do you think? Black or grey shirt?" He asked and I quickly snapped my eyes to him face.

"Um the black one. Everyone looked good in black." I said.

He nodded and slipped the black shirt on and put the grey one back in his closet. I looked down at my hands not really knowing what to do with myself, but then I felt the bed dip next to me. I looked over to Alex and he was looking at his phone texting someone. He sat his phone down once he finished and smiled at me apologetically.

"Sorry, Tony was asking if I wanted next game of beer pong." He told me.

"No it's okay." I said honestly. "Are you going to play?"

"Nah I don't want to leave you alone." He said sweetly.

"No go play! I'll be fine. I can watch you." I said reassuringly.

"I'd rather stay here with you."

"Oh okay." I looked down nervously and played with my fingers.

We were sitting so close to each other and I could feel my heart speed up and my palms start to sweat. He pulled my fingers apart with his hand trying to get me to stop being so nervous. I chuckled and looked at him to see him staring back at me. He looked from my eyes to my lips and back to my eyes again. Did that mean he wanted to kiss me? I saw him slow lean into me and close his eyes which gave me my answer. I'd never kissed a guy before so I didn't know what to do with myself. I stared at him moving closer to me and I began to mock his movements. I closed my eyes and leaned towards him.

Our lips reached each other quickly by me moving with him. His lips were around my bottom lip and mine were around his top. He began to suck on my lip so I did the same to him. I hope it felt just as good to him as it did to me.

Alex put a hand on my hip and I turned more towards him so we could get even closer. I moaned into his mouth as he began to lightly bite my lip with his teeth. His tongue began to rub against my lip where he just bit it. I didn't know if that was something new he was doing or if I was supposed to lick his tongue with mine. I should have asked Kellin this stuff earlier.

I was about to open my mouth to use my tongue with his, but someone opened the door and made us pull apart.

"Alex do yo- oh shit I'm sorry!" Zack apologize after he saw us pull apart.

"Uh it’s alright. What did you need?" Alex asked him.

"We were wondering if you want two wanted to play never have I ever downstairs. We're playing with shots of vodka." He said.

"You wanna play?" Alex turned to ask me. I really wanted to stay and make out with him some more, but I didn't know what I was doing. This break would be the perfect opportunity for me to ask Kellin what to do.

"Yeah it sounds fun!" I said flustered and he smiled at me.

"We'll be down in a second, Zack." Alex told him and he nodded and left.

Alex got up and went to his bathroom. I heard running water then he came back to me with a wet towel. "Sorry I got red makeup all over your face." He apologized as he wiped it off for me.

"Oh I forgot you had that stuff on your lips." I laughed and he laughed with me.

"I got it all. Now you can go back to being Mickey Mouse."

I let him grab my hand and take me back downstairs. Kellin walked up to me as soon as our feet hit the last step.

"Do you mind if I borrow him for a second?" Kellin asked Alex and pulled me off with him to a room before he could answer.

"Wait we're supposed to play never have I ever." I complained to him.

"We will, but where were you? And why weren't you answering my text?" He questioned suspiciously.

"Oh sorry I didn't check my phone, but I was in Alex's room with him."

"Doing what?"

"Just talking." I answered quickly.

"I know you're lying, Jack. Something else happened. What was it?" I don't know how he could always tell when I was lying. It was probably something stupid I did like looking to the left or something like that.

"Okay and we maybe probably might have kissed a little." I admitted and he squealed.

"You had your first kiss with him?!?" He yelled.

"Oh scream it louder so they can all hear you." I said sarcastically.

"Sorry, but Jack that's awesome! Do you enjoy it? What did his lips feel like? Were you sitting up or laying down?" He quickly asked.

"I'll answer that later but while we kissed he licked my lips. What was I supposed to do? Use my tongue too?" I asked.

"Oh that just meat he wanted you to open your mouth too." He told me. "What did you do when he did that?"

"Nothing. Zack came in before I could do anything thank god." I chuckled.

"I just can't believe you actually kissed him."

"Well I can't believe I heard you and Vic having sex upstairs." I said and he blushed out of embarrassment.

"You heard us?"

"Yes you were so loud. It's was gross."

"Sorry, I can't help it!" He laughed.

"Mhm sure. Can we go play now?"

"Yeah let's go." I said.

We walked back over to the living room where the people, who were playing, were sitting. I sat next to Alex and Kellin sat on the other side next to Vic.

"Everyone knows the rules right? A persons says something they've never done and if you've done the thing then you have to drink. First person to take five shots wins, if you call that winning." Mike informed us.

Once everyone agreed that we all knew how to play we started. Tony went first saying never has he ever had sex in a car. I along with like two other people didn't take a shot. One of the people who did take one was Alex. He smiled at me nervously, hoping I wasn't judging him. Of course I wasn't but I regretted playing this game. Most of the questions were going to be sexual questions and the furthest I've ever been with a guy was that kiss Alex gave me upstairs minutes ago. Kellin and Vic quickly took shots too.

Vic was up next so he sat in thought before saying, "Never have I ever had a threesome." Only a few girls and guys took a shot for that one, luckily Alex wasn't one of them. I was starting to believe that the only way I would be able to take a shot is if I lied about something.

Kellin was next after Vic and he was prepared with his question. "I've never made out with a person whose first name starts with the letter 'A.'" he smirked at me. I stared at him while I took the shot. It burned so badly, but I wasn't the only one to do it. Even Alex took another shot. I don't think he noticed that that question was directed towards just me.

More people said what they'd never done as time went on. I only took one more shot become a girl had said she'd never been to Disney World. I waited patiently for my turn so I could get back at Kellin.

"Never have I ever slept with a person on the first date." I smiled at him and he playfully glared at me. I saw Alex take a shot too which I guess didn't surprise me. It was his turn next.

"I've um hmm I've never had sex in water." He shrugged his shoulders. It seemed like a lot of people took shots for that one. Six people, including Kellin and Vic, had just taken their fifth shot so the game was over. They started a new game with some people who were too late to play but most of us got up and left.

"How many shots did you take?" Alex asked me as we walked back to the kitchen.

"Just two. What about you?" I asked him.

"I had four." He chuckled. "One more and I would have been a loser like those two." He pointed to Kellin and Vic and we laughed.

"We just know how to have fun." Vic gloated and I gagged.

Alex went into the kitchen to make us both more drinks. I felt like I was close to being as drunk as we were at Vic's party. When he came back to me he was about to hand me my drink but he stopped.

"Wait how are you getting home?" He asked.

"Um über most likely since that's how we got here." I answered.

"I'm staying here with Vic." Kellin told me and I rolled my eyes at him.

"Yeah why don't you stay too?" Alex asked.

"Do you guys have enough space for me?" I didn't want to take a room that was promised to someone else.

"Yeah you can stay with me in my room. I can sleep on the floor." He laughed.

"That's so nice of you, Alex!" Kellin exclaimed trying to mess with me.

"That is really nice of you, but I don't want to make you sleep on your own floor." I told him.

"No it's okay. I usually sleep on the floor when I'm too drunk to make it to my bed so I'm used to it." He said making me laugh.

My phone started to ring and I looked down to see that it was two am and May was calling me. I looked around for a quiet area and Alex opened the backyard door for me. I went out by myself and answered the phone. I hope it wasn't an emergency.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey Jack where are you?" She asked suspiciously. I knew that she went to a party with her friends at school so I wonder why she was asking.

I thought about it before saying, "I'm at home."

"That's so funny because mom told me to come check and make sure you came home and didn't stay out all night. And I'm looking at your empty bed." She snickered. I had one of two options: I could beg her not to tell mom or I could try to convince her that she was crazy and that I was in bed.

". . . May please don't tell mom!! I'm still out with my friends!" I begged.

"Where are you?" She demanded.

"I'm at a house party with Kellin and a few other friends from school." I told her.

"Have you been drinking?"

"...A little bit." I answered kind of honesty. "My friend said we can stay the night so we won't have to worry about driving and all of that stuff."

"Do you want me to come pick you up?" She sounded a little drunk herself which is probably the only thing that saved me.

"Noo that would make me look so lame!" I whined and she sighed.

"You better beat mom home in the morning or we're both in trouble." She warned.

"I will I promise!!"

"And don’t get used to this!”

“I won’t.”

“And be careful please, Jack."

"I will. Thanks, May!"

"You're welcome. Bye." We both hung up and I went back inside.

"Is everything okay?" Kellin asked worriedly.

"Yeah of course." I assured him and he nodded.

I pulled out my phone text him what May said so I wouldn't have to say it out loud.

From Jack:
We have to make it home before my mom does so we should leave nine tomorrow morning.

From Kellin:
Okay I'll just tell Vic that we have to go do community service for some organization on campus. You should tell Alex the same thing when you wake up in the morning.

From Jack:
Okay.

I sat my alarm for eight-thirty am so I wouldn't forget to do it later. It took my mom at least ten to fifteen minutes to get home so we had a little extra time.

I was standing while everyone else in the kitchen was sitting, but all the seats were taken. Alex noticed I was looking for a chair and he pulled me down by my wrist to his lap. I giggled once I was sitting comfortably on him. He placed his right arm around my lower back and pulled me to lay down on his chest. Everyone who was staying was chilling while everyone else began to finishing up their last drinks so they could go home.

"Well we're going to go to bed now. See ya in the morning." Vic said and he and Kellin got up.

"Have a nice night you two." Kellin snickered drunkenly and they went to their guest room.

"They aren't going to sleep any time soon." Alex whispered in my ear.

"Ugh." I groaned and he laughed.

"Tell me whenever you're ready to go to bed." He told me.

"Okay just let me finish the rest of this." I held up my cup to him and he nodded. I downed the rest of my drink and stood up. "Ready."

I followed behind him back upstairs to his room. He stopped at a hall closet first to get extra blankets for himself. I still felt bad about making him sleep on the floor in his own room. Even I would be pissed if someone was sleeping comfortably in my bed while I slept on the floor.

"Here you can change into these if you want." He handed me a t-shirt and a pair of basketball shorts.

"Thanks." I said as I took the clothes from him. I turned around so my back was facing him as I undressed from costume. I put on the clothes and smiled to myself at the fact that the clothes smelled like him.

Alex went into the bathroom to clean all of the make-up off of his face. I stood waiting for him to finish up because I still felt bad about him sleeping on the floor. He smiled when he came out and saw me just standing there.

"The bed is all yours." He said politely and gestured to it.

"I feel guilty letting you sleep on the floor . . . how about you just sleep in your bed . . . with me." I suggested.

"I don't want to make you uncomfortable." He insisted.

"I'll be fine. Promise."

"Oh okay." He got up and left the blankets where they were.

I got in on the left side and he laid on the right. I think it was a queen size bed so there was a little bit of space between us. We were facing each other but I was looking down at the pillow not knowing what else to do before falling asleep. I could feel his eyes on me and I began blushing. I looked up without thinking about it and locked eyes with him. We both chuckled nervously and I looked back down and began chewing on my lip. It felt like the room got twenty degrees hotter. It just hit me that I was lying in bed with this guy. I really should stop drinking when I'm around him.

"So did you have fun tonight?" He asked me.

"Yeah I did! I'm positive this is the best Halloween party I've ever been to." I said and he smiled at me.

"I think this is the best Halloween party for me too. Mostly because I got to make out with an extremely gorgeous guy." He said sly and my heart fell into my stomach.

"What guy?" I asked jokingly.

"Maybe you saw him, he has an amazing smile and he's really shy sometimes. I think he was dressed up as Mickey Mouse." He played along.

"Hmm nope I didn't see anyone like that."

"Well I think I'm staring at him right now." He moved closer to me.

He moved in to kiss me again and this time I didn't hesitate before moving in with him. Our lips connected and we made out again like we did earlier. This time when he ran his tongue across my lips I opened them for him. He slide his soft tongue into my mouth and connected it with mine. He moved even closer to me and pressed our bodies together as we kissed. I felt something poking my stomach and I realized it was him. He was starting to get hard and I didn't know what to do. I also was getting turned on, but I did a good job of hiding it. I needed to stop this before he tried to go any further. I pulled apart from him and faked a yawn.

"Oh I'm so sorry, I'm just so sleepy." I yawned again.

"No it's okay. It is pretty late." He sighed.

I looked at the clock and it said three-oh eight am. I only have five and a half hours to sleep before I needed to get up and go home.

"Um maybe we can continue this next time?" I asked trying to sound hopeful.

"Yeah definitely." He kissed my lips one last time with a smile on his face. I exhaled happily knowing that he wasn't angry with me.

I turned to face the other way to lay on my left side because I always slept laying on my left. A few seconds later I felt Alex get closer to me and wrap his arm around my waist. I'd never cuddled with another person before but it felt fantastic. I stuck my hips back slightly more so I could fit the curved shape he had going on. We laid comfortably and dozed off to sleep.

I woke up to the sound of my alarm hours later. Luckily my phone was on thirty-seven percent. I slide the screen so the noise. Alex was still holding on to me in his sleep and his arm around my waist. I didn't want to move and wake him, but I had to. I lifted his arm and slowly began to slide away from him. He quickly pulled me back into his grasp and I chuckled.

"Where are you going?" He mumbled.

"I have to leave with Kellin. We um volunteer to help student council do some things around campus." I lied.

"On the day after Halloween?" He said disappointedly.

"Yeah. It'll look really good on my resumé. I'm sorry." I really felt guilty for lying to him. Not just about this, but more about my age.

"No don't apologize!" He said still sounding like he wasn't fully awake. "Also feel free to keep my clothes on so you won't look have to put your costume back on."

"Oh thank you!"

"You're welcome."

I gathered my things and slipped my shoes on. I needed to hurry because waking Kellin up was going to be a hassle.

"Thanks for inviting me and letting me stay the night with you." I told him.

"Thank you for coming and making my night ten times better."

I leaned down to hug him and we said bye to each other. I was halfway through his doorway when he called my name.

"Yeah?" I answered.

"Are you doing anything next Friday night?"

"Most likely not."

"Good! I'm going to pick you up at seven for dinner." He told me and I blushed.

"Oh okay!" This was going to be my first actual date.

We said bye again and I went down the hall to get Kellin. Before trying to get him up I went to my über app and selected the closet driver to come get us. He was only eight minutes away. That was enough time for me to wake Kellin and leave.

I knocked on the door and didn't hear a word out of the two. I should have made Kellin set his alarm too. Well he probably wouldn't have woken up still.

"Kellin? Vic?" I called out as I opened the door slowly.

I saw them both laying in the bed cuddled up together. Vic was laying on his back and Kellin was laid on his chest and stomach. They were covered from the waist down so I hoped that didn't mean they were naked.

"Kellin. Kellin wake up." I lightly shook him, trying not to wake Vic.

"Hmm?" He hummed but he wasn't fully awake.

"Get up." I whispered.

"I am up." He mumbled.

"No idiot I need you to physically get up and out of bed."

"Oh shit I forgot we have to leave." He pushed up from Vic and got out of bed, proving to me that they were in fact naked.

"Jesus Kellin." I closed my eyes so I wouldn't see any more of him.

"Sorry." He chuckled as he shuffled around the room to find his clothes. Once he did and he was dressed he was ready to go. He kissed Vic, who was surprisingly still sleeping, and we left.

The car was on the driveway when we got outside. Kellin and I got in and gave him my address.

"So how was it sleeping in the same room as the love of your life? Did you guys make out some more?" Kellin asked.

"He actually slept in the bed with me. And we did make out more." I said proudly.

"I'm so proud of you." He fake cried. "My little Jack is growing up so quickly."

"Shut up." I laughed. "How was your night with Vic?"

"Perfect! I'll spare you the details."

"Thank you."

Once we made it back to my house Kellin paid the driver. We cautiously came into the house and checked the garage for my mom’s car. We were elated to see it wasn't there. She probably would have been up waiting to ground me if she were home.

We went up to my room and Kellin changed into my pajamas and I kept the clothes Alex gave me on. The garage began opening up for my mom as we laid down. Luckily we were able to get away with staying out all night.
