It's such a shame that we play strangers

Alex POV

My plan's going well, yesterday I asked Jack if he wanted to be my boyfriend, and obviously he said "yes". He's so cute, I think that this month we got closer, I fell a little bit more in love with him. Wait, did you said love Alex?!?! It's too early to say that, but I'll admit I like him more and more with every day. Now it's too late, I'll go to sleep.

I woke up to the sound of my alarm and I turned it off. I went to the bathroom, took a shower and got dressed, I styled my hair to almost perfection and went downstairs to get breakfast, and there I joined my mom in the kitchen.

"Good morning mom!" I kissed her cheek. I acted like I cared about her, but I hate her. My parents are separated and she's got a new husband, but my dad doesn't know about it, and I've got to lie to him since that, and I don't like to lie to my father, I love him, though.

"Hey Alex! Here's the breakfast" she said; I drank a glass of orange juice, ate an apple and got in my way to school, more like hell. I hate school, all people in there sucks, the teachers think they're so smart just for having a licence in education and all the students just don't care about anything, only what's going on on their lifes. My thoughts took all of me and when I didn't notice I was already in school. Though I hated this place, I entered to the building with a slight smile. I made my way to my locker, there were Rian and Zack waiting for me, my only true friends.

"Hey guys" I said

"Hey Alex" they said in unison, Rian looked at me confused, and said:

"What got you so happy? You hardly ever smile inside the school"

I froze, what am I going to say? I guess that the only thing that has got me happy was the thinking of get home and text Jack, so I quickly lied:

"Nothing, asshole. Why would I be smiling?"

"I don't know man, you seemed happy" Zack said, I just rolled my eyes when the bell rang

"I'll see you two at lunch, bye" I waved them goodbye and made my way to first period, science. I like this class, luckily.

The first hours went by pretty quick, now I was in the cafeteria, sitting with Rian and Zack. I quickly typed a text to Jack just to remember him that I missed him, I'm so gay. It said:

To Jack:
Hey Jack, I miss you <3 can't wait to get out of school and text you all day

I didn't think he would text back, but he did:

From Jack:
Miss you more babe, I'll text you when I get home

By this time I was grinning so bad, but I didn't want Rian or Zack to notice, so I typed a quick "Bye sweetie" and sent it. But I think they already noticed

"So with who are you talking that got you so happy?" Rian said, oh god, I know him, he won't stop until I say to him what he wants to know.

"I was reading an article that green day it's working on a new album! Isn't that amazing? I hope that it isn't a false article" I laughed at how stupid I can be. Don't get me wrong, but I don't fully-trust my own friends, I'm a terrible person, I'm afraid that if I tell them about Jack, they would get mad with me for being gay or anything. I was too deep into my thoughts when Rian broke my bubble

"But Alex, you were typing on your phone, when you read you don't type" he said. Well, he was right

"Oh shut up" I said

"Whatever" Rian answered

An awkward silence fell into us. The bell rang a few minutes after and we went to our respective periods. The rest of the day went by very fast, I was home now, when I reached my house, I went upstairs straight to my room, threw my bag onto the floor and let myself fall on my bed. I got my phone off my pocket, I had two messages from Jack

From Jack:
-Hey Lex, I got home :)

-I miss you

He's so sweet, I texted back, letting my "british me" take over the situation

To Jack:
Hello my dear, how are you?

From Jack:
That sounded so weird, haha. I'm just fine and you?

To Jack:
Sorry, I let my british take over me, I'm good :) how was your day?

From Jack:
Are you british?!?! You never said that to me

To Jack:
I think I mentioned it? But it doesn't matter, it's no big deal

From Jack:
It IS a big deal, my boyfriend is british that's so excited!

To Jack:
I asked how was your day...

From Jack:
Oh sorry, it went right.. I guess? Guess what, something funny happened to me today

To Jack:
What happened?

From Jack:
One guy asked if he could eat lunch with me, I guess he was being nice, but obviously I said no

To Jack:
Where's the fun in that?

From Jack:
That no one wants to be near me, the fact that one guy came from no where to be my friend shocked me

To Jack:
I would love to be near you..

From Jack:
But you're my boyfriend Alex, you're supposed to want that, though, you don't know me personally, if you ever see me you wouldn't even come to say "hey" to me

To Jack:
Don't say that dickhead, you're perfect

From Jack:
Stop being so nice to me or I'll be grinning all week

To Jack:
I'd love to kiss that grin<3

From Jack:
Stop. It.

He was being serious, maybe he was getting a boner or he was just innocently blushing, who knows. But I think I'm falling hard for this kid, the good thing it's that I already have forgotten Mark. I kept texting Jack until I got to go to eat dinner, he said he would wait to keep texting me, but when I finished my eating, he didn't answer anymore, maybe he's having wifi troubles. I guess I'll do homework since I spent all day talking to Jack.
