Perfect Boyfriend

Nyssa's POV:
I hold Alex's hand, walk him to the bed, and have him sit down. He looks up at me concerned and I sit down by him. "Well, to start off with. I have a disability called Dyspraxia. It's when the brain can't process certain information and it gets lost. It takes me longer to understand some things, like in school I have extended time on tests. It also causes me to have poor speech, poor balance, and poor hand-eye coordination." "I've noticed the poor speech..." "Yeah.. I knew you noticed that right away. Back to the part where it takes me longer to understand certain things. That's why I'm so shy with stuff, I've never done them, I don't know what to do, and I don't understand. But you've done a great job being patient with me." "What's the other thing?"

Summer before college first started for Nyssa:
"This place looks really nice Claire." "Yeah, it does. Do you want to sign here?" "Yeah! Lets go to the leasing office together." I grab her hand and we run off to the office. Claire and I have agreed that we want to be roommates which I'm really happy about. When we get to the office, the door is closed and there's a sign saying that they'll be back soon. "Shit. Well, do you mind waiting here? I have to use the bathroom." "No problem Claire." "Thanks." Claire runs off and I sit down on the chair outside of the office. A really cute guy walks past me, stops, and slowly walks backwards. "Well hi," he smiles at me and I quickly look down. "What's your name?" "Nyssa," I mumble. He bends his knees and balances himself to that he's leveled with me. "You don't need to be so shy. I'm Mark." "Um.. Hi.." I slowly look at him and he just has a smile. "I like your name. Are you signing here too?" "Y-yeah." "Well I'm glad to hear, there's a possibility that I'll see you more." This makes me blush, "aw. You're really cute. I'm looking forward to seeing you again." He walks off and I let out a huge breath.

"Can you believe that we start school in a few days Nyssa?" "I can't believe it. I'm a college student now." I hang up my posters and smile to myself. I think back to Mark and how cute he was. "What are you smiling about?," Claire grins at me. "Nothing!" "Nuh uh. You're telling me." "It's nothing I promise. I'm going out to get more poster putty." "Okay, see you." "See you." I walk and make my way out. I start to open the door but a guy finishes opening it for me. I look up and see that it's Mark. He smiles down at me, "hey. I remember you." I look down and try to walk past him but he grabs my hand. "I was wondering, are you free tonight?" "U-um. Yeah." "Great! I want to get to know you more. Want to come over?" "Um.." "Please?" "Um.. Sure.." "Great! Come over at 9, my room is 721. See you later." He lets go of my hand and I run off. Oh my gosh!

I knock on his door and he quickly answers, "I'm glad you made it." He lets me in and I look around, "you live alone?" "Yep. Somehow I got a single room. Don't know why though." "Weird." "And I'm paying more for a single. So it sucks." "That does suck." "So Nyssa, tell me more about yourself." "Well, I'm a business major." "Nice, I'm a engineering major." "Very nice." He steps closer and I look down. "I'm sorry, but the question is killing me. Do you have a boyfriend?" "I don't..." He steps closer and I take a step back. "Why are you being so shy?" "I... I never had a boyfriend.." "Innocent I see." He keeps stepping closer and I keep backing away from him. My back finally hits the wall and he holds my face. "So cute. And innocent. My favorite." I slowly look up at him, there's something lurking in his eyes. "I-I have to go." He slams his hands down on the wall to block me in. "What are you doing?" "Exactly what I wanted to do to you since I first met you."

He leans down and I push on his chest to stop. "Please don't." "Oh sweet heart. I don't take no as an answer." He leans down more to my ear and chuckles. "To think that you actually thought that I liked you. Hilarious." He tries to kiss me but I keep moving my head. "Stop it." He roughly grabs me, spins me, and pins me against the wall. "I'll say its time to stop. Not you," he whispers in my ear and I close my eyes. My mind is going crazy and I start to shake. He laughs and lightly kisses my neck. "Please stop," I say shakily. "I said, I decide when we stop!" He forces me down onto the ground and stands over me. He laughs more and kneels down, "Oh I'm going to have fun with you." He roughly grabs me and drags me to his bed. I start crying and he forces me onto the bed. He gets on top of me and smiles down at me. "Aw. Don't cry. If you do what I say, it'll be all over soon." He holds my arms down, spreads my legs, and uses his legs to hold mine down. "And if you scream for help, I'll make it worse," he whispers in my ear.

He takes off his shirt, and I use that to push him off of me. I get off of the bed but he quickly grabs me and pushes me down onto the floor. I groan a bit and try to get up but he stops me. "Being such a naughty girl." He grabs me and throws me against the wall. I slowly slide down and land on my knees. "HELP!!," I finally scream out. He slaps me, "I told you not to yell for help!" "HELP! PLEASE!" He smacks me again and pins me against the wall. "Please stop," I cry. "Oh. I won't." "HELP!" He roughly kisses me and I scream into the kiss. I'm so scared. Someone. Please. Help me. I hear pounds on the door, "OPEN THE DOOR!," someone yells. "No fucking way," he mumbles. "If you don't open the door, we'll come in on our own!" "Go away!!," he yells. They unlock the door from the outside, since the doors automatically lock once they close. An RA runs in and so does Jack. "Nyssa!!" "Jack!," I cry. The RA pulls Mark off and Jack runs over to me. He helps me up, I hug him tightly and cry into his chest. He holds me and gently rocks us.

"It's okay Nyssa, you're safe now. I heard you scream and went straight to the RA's room. I'm so lucky that this room is next to mine. I didn't know it was you." "Thank you Jack, thank you," I cry and he kisses my head. "From what I can confirm, you were trying to attempt rape, weren't you Mark." "So what if I was?" "Because that's an automatic expel from school and you'll be forced out of here tomorrow. I'm going to report this, and the school will give you 24 hours to get out of here. Jack, lets get her out of here." I feel Jack lift me and he carries me out. "We need to ask her a few questions." "Not tonight, it's best that Nyssa tries to sleep and not think about this." "Okay, but in the morning, we need to ask her a few questions." "I understand. Nyssa, we're going to stay in my room," he whispers in my ear. I hear the door open, Jack walks in, and I hear the door close. Jack is the only guy, besides my dad, that I fully trust.

He lays me down and I hold onto his shirt. "Please don't leave me Jack," I whisper. "I'll never leave you Nyssa.." "Can you lay down with me..." He lays down next to me and pulls the covers over us. I automatically cuddle into him and hold onto him. He holds me and starts to softly sing in my ear. He keeps singing until I fall asleep.

I finish the story and look down at my lap. "Nyssa..." "That's also part of the reason why I'm shy... And why I'm so close with Jack.. He saved me.. And he was there for me whenever I needed him.. He helped me through my therapy and panic attacks.. That's why I can't let him go Alex.. Please understand..." He gently holds my face and I look up at him. "I'm so sorry that happened to you.. And I'm sorry with how I've been acting.. I should of just let you and Jack be.. But instead I was pushing you away.." "It's okay Alex.. You didn't know.." "But now I know.. I promise to not come between you and Jack ever again." "Thank you Alex.." He gently kisses me and rests his forehead against mine, "I'm so sorry." "I forgive you."
