Perfect Boyfriend

Jack's POV:
"Nyssa!!," Alex yells making me jump. He runs out of our room and I run after him. Damn he's fast! I finally catch up to him and we reach Nyssa's room. He pounds on the door but there's no answer. He breaks down the door and we run inside. "She's not here." "Where do you think she could be!?" "Have you boys seen Nyssa?" I turn around and see Rian. "You don't know where she is either!?" "I came by earlier to talk to her, but she wasn't here. And now hearing form you two that you don't know where she is, I'm worried." "She's really scared," Alex speaks up. "How can you tell?" "I just can." "Enough talking we have to find her." Rian gets a group of security together and we start searching. "We'll split up, cover more ground that way." "Good idea," Rian says and goes off with security. Alex and I run off one way and we eventually come to a fork in the road. One way had lights, another was dark. "I think she went that way," we say in unison and point in different directions. "It's more logical that Nyssa went this way because it is the safest route." "But Nyssa is lost, and sometimes she's not that smart and will go the wrong way." "Then how about we split up to find her." "Good idea." I know I'm right.

"Nyssa!?," I yell out. I carefully make my way through the forest and look around. "Nyssa! It's me!" "Jack!?," I hear a faint yell. "Nyssa!!" "Jack!!" I run towards where I heard her yell, "keep yelling Nyssa!!" "Jack!! Help me! I can't get out!" I hear her clearly and look around. "Jack!!" I look down and I can barely see her. "Be careful Jack!" "I'll try!" Okay.. How am I going to do this... I pull my phone out and turn on the flashlight. Damn, that's deep.. "Just hold on Nyssa!" I slowly take a few steps but I end up loosing my balance and slide down. "Nyssa! Watch out!" "Huh!?" I land on top of her and we both groan. "Nyssa," I breathe out. I get off of her and help her stand up. "Jack," she cries and hugs me tightly. "How did you get here?" "I don't know, I broke my glasses and ended up in here." Shit.. "I'm really scared Jack." "You don't need to be, because I'm here now." "Do you think we can get out?" I use my flashlight and shake my head. "I don't think we can." "What's that light?" "It's my phone's flashlight. I'll try calling Alex."

I pull up Alex's number but I don't have any signal. Shit...

Alex's POV:
"Nyssa? Are you in here?" I just found a small house and walk inside. Where are you... I hear Rian yell and I run off to where he is. "Oh good. Alex. Have you found her yet?" "No." "Have you tried your satellite on her?" "I've tried. I have no signal out here." "How are we going to find her," he whines. "We're going to be in a lot of trouble if something happens to her. Have you seen Jack?" "You haven't seen him either?" "Shit shit shit! We're in a shit load of trouble if something happens to them! Especially you Alex! You're the one who forced Jack onto this trip and now he's lost." "I'll keep looking for them." I have to find you Nyssa.

Jack's POV:
We're sitting on the ground, Nyssa is leaning against me and I'm holding her. She's really scared and I'm trying my hardest to stay brave for her. I'm actually scared because I don't know where we are and we can't get out. "Jack." "Yeah Nyssa?" "What do you think of Alex..." "I think you can have someone better Nyssa..." "Like who?" I look down at her, "like me." "Why though?" "Because I think I know you better than he does." "But Alex knows me pretty well." "But I think I know you better. I've known you since we were in diapers, I've grown up with you. I know what makes you laugh, when you're upset, when you're in need. I care so much about you Nyssa, and I wish I had realized my real feelings sooner." "I never thought that you would.." "Why would you think that?" "Because.. I don't know.. I thought no matter what, no guy will ever like me. Even you. I know we've grown up together, but at the same time, if it wasn't for that, you probably would have never spoken to me." "Nyssa, please don't talk like that..." "But it's how I really feel. If it wasn't for how we grew up, we probably would have never spoken to each other. Our current lives would be different." I can't help but agree with her... Before Alex, Zack and I were the only guys who ever spoke to her. Me, because I grew up with her. Zack, because they're co-workers and he actually cares about her safety at work.

But if fate had changed, and we didn't grow up with each other, our lives would be different. "Nyssa, even if we didn't grew up together, I probably would have still liked you." "How are you so sure though?" "I don't know. But all I know is, you're the most important girl in my life." She lets out a yawn, "you can go to sleep if you want." "Nuh uh...," she yawns again. I move her so that her head is laying on my lap and she's laying down. "Just go to sleep, it'll be fine. I'm here." She nods and falls asleep. I run my fingers through her hair and stare down at her. I lean down, "Nyssa. I know you're asleep. But I need to say this... I think I'm in love with you," I whisper in her ear and kiss her cheek. It feels like a large weight is being lifted, I finally said it.

Alex's POV:
I finally take the path that Jack said he would take. "Nyssa!?" I keep running and come to a stop when I see a drop. I look in and I see Nyssa and Jack sleeping, Nyssa's head in his lap and Jack sitting up. Something happens with my system and I feel something take over me. "You'll never have her Jack," I snap.
