Perfect Boyfriend

Nyssa's POV:
"You need to think of a better way Nyssa," Sara snaps at me while she pushes me backwards. "How badly do you want to get into the sorority Nyssa? Hm?" She pushes me again, hard enough for me to fall on my butt. My hair hangs in front of my face and my glasses are at the edge of my nose. "Because I don't really care that he's your boyfriend. Which doesn't make since because its you. Girls, it's time." Ariel and Amelia grab my arms and force me up, "I know you're not going to fight back Nyssa. And if you tell on us, you're not going to like the punishment. There's a reason I had us meet out here by the buses." They pull me along with them, the luggage door to the bus is open, "no. Please!" When we reach it they push me in, I hit my head and groan. I slowly sit up and the door slams closed. I bang on the door, "please let me out!" "This is our way to make sure we spend time alone with Alex! Because I don't give a shit if he's your boyfriend and that you want to get into our sorority!" I hear them laugh and it becomes silent.

I bang on the door more, "please help me!!" Tears slide down my cheeks and keep banging, "shit.. My glasses are out there..." I bang more, slowly crying.

Claire's POV:
I stick my feet in the pool and smile to myself. I had left a note at Alex's door to come meet Nyssa by the pool. What he doesn't know that it's me. I'm usually good at getting and tricking guys. "Nyssa? Where are you?" I look up and see Alex, I smile at him. "Oh, hi Claire. Have you seen Nyssa? I'm supposed to meet her here." I stand up and walk over to him, "No, it's just me." "Oh, well have a good night. I need to find her." He starts walking away but I grab his arm to stop him. "What's wrong Claire?" "Tell me Alex, why do you like Nyssa?" "Well, she's really cute when she gets embarrassed, but not a bad embarrassed. Just like when I cutely tease her. Her laugh is contagious. She works really hard-" "Let me stop you there. That's great and all, but don't you want a girl with looks and brains?" "What do you mean? I think Nyssa is perfect." I step closer to him and rub his arm. "What are you doing?" "I know guys like you Alex. You're hot, and want to be with a hot girl. And Nyssa is not that." He steps back from me, "you're Nyssa's best friend. Why would you do this to her?" "Do what?" I try to grab his hand and he takes it out of my reach.

He looks down at his hand that has his mood ring. "I have to find Nyssa!," he yells and runs off. What the fuck is his problem?

Jack's POV:
I see Sara and her friends laughing, I haven't seen Nyssa for a while, I wonder where she is. "I can't believe how much of a loser she is," Sara laughs. "Good thing she's weak, that was so easy." "What was so easy?" They didn't even notice that I was walking towards them. They look up at me surprised and look down. "I know you're talking about Nyssa, where is she? Or shall I get the teacher and you tell him yourself."

Nyssa's POV:
"Please help me!!," I yell weakly. It's getting harder to breathe in here because there's no air flow. I pound on the door weakly and lean against it, tears still running down my face. "Ale!...Ja!...." I close my eyes and let my hand drop into my lap. "Nyssa!!," I hear someone yell from the other side. "Nyssa, it's me! I'm getting you out!" I feel the door open and I fall forwards but someone quickly catches me. "Nyssa! Oh thank god I found you.." I slowly look up, but I can't tell who it is without my glasses. "Glasses..." "Glasses, oh you're not wearing your glasses. Where are they?" "I don't know.." He leans me against something and then comes back, "I found them." He puts them on me and I slowly look up to see Jack staring at me in concern. "Nyssa," he breathes. I start crying more and he holds me, "Nyssa!!! Nyssa, are you okay!?," I hear someone else yell.

"She's clearly not Alex," Jack snaps. "I thought as her boyfriend, you would protect her. But you clearly didn't." Jack picks me up and holds me bridal style, "just relax Nyssa. I'm taking you to my room." "I think she should come with-" "If you wanted to take care of her, you would have protected her."

Jack's POV:
I can't believe those girls locked Nyssa in there, and who knows for how long. Nyssa's head rests against me and I carry her away. "I'm not sorry for being rude to you Alex. You claim that you care for Nyssa, but why have I been the one saving her on this trip?" "I do care for her Jack." "Then you need to prove it Alex," I snap. I can't believe this guy. I carry her into the hotel and up to my room. When I get to my room I kick the door so that my roommate can hear it. The door opens and he stares at us. "Jack, what the hell happened?" "Nyssa is just going to rest in here for a while." "She doesn't look good man." "I know. I've already told the teacher what happened and who did this to her." "Someone did this to her!?" "Yes, now can you please leave so I can take care of her for a bit." "Yeah. Sure. Not a problem."

He leaves and I lay Nyssa down on my bed. "Nyssa, how are you feeling?" She groans, "how long were in there... There was no air flow in there..." I look over her body and see how red her hand is. "Nyssa, how hard were you pounding on that door..." I assume she was pounding on the door so that people could hear it. I go in the bathroom and wet a wash cloth, I squeeze it a bit and go back to her. I put the wash cloth on her forehead. I then grab the ice bucket and leave the room for the ice machine at the end of the hall. I quickly get ice and go back to the room. I put ice in a towel and hold it against her hand. She groans and tries to pull her hand away. "No Nyssa, it'll help with the pain in your hand." I gently hold her wrist and hold the ice to her hand. I look at Nyssa, sometimes I still see the girl that I grew up with. And other times, I see a different a girl. But both girls, make me feel the same way. How can Alex claim that he cares about her, when I've been the one protecting her all of her life?

I was the one who saved Nyssa that night before college started... I was the one who was with her whenever she had a panic attack because of that night... I was the one who was with her after every nightmare.. I'm the one who's been with Nyssa every step of the way since we were kids. Why has it taken so long for me to realize this...
