“I’m just saying Cass that my whole family is the worst. I mean you have my brother who could care less about me and then there's my parents who are barely home and when they are they just scream at each other and us.” I complain to her as she gets stuff out of her locker. “When you Rian get married can you just adopt me?

“She laughs “Sure why not? Hey look over there, that's the new kid I was talking about.” I look to where she was talking about and oh my god is the only thing that comes to my mind. He is tall, muscular, and just overall gorgeous. “Hey how about instead of eye sexing him you go and talk to him hmm?”

“Oh shut up Cass I was not doing that! Also I'm perfectly fine just ignoring him to go to my locker and then go home. It's Friday and I just want to go home.” I say as she closes her locker and we start going towards mine. The only problem is that we have to go past the new kid and Cass has that look in her eyes that means she's going to do something outrageous. “Cassadee Pope I swear to god if you do anything drastic I'm going to cut you.”

She just smiles at me and goes “Oops!” Then she ‘accidently trips’ and bumps into me causing me to lose my balance and crash into the new kid. I wind up with both of my hands plastered onto his chest, to stop my momentum, and his hands are around my waist to catch me.

“I- I’m so sorry. My friend here is so clumsy and she tripped causing to trip also.” I stutter as I try to get out an adequate apology.

“No it's fine trust me. Are you alright?” He asks me with a kind smile.

“Ya I'm fine. Anyways I'm Isabella and that clutz is Cassadee and it’s nice to you.”

“I’m Zack and it's nice to you meet you too. Oh here let me just ah…” Zack lets go of me as I step back.

“Um well we’ll see you around have a nice day.” I give him one last smile as I grab Cass and retreat to my locker. “You are so dead when we get to my house.” I snap at her.

“Oh one day you will be thanking me.” She gives me a smug smile.

“Don't hold your breath Pope.” ×××××××××××××××××××××××××××
“I swear to God Cass I’m fine being single. Not everyone needs to be like you and Rian.” I say with a sigh as I flop down on my bed.

“I know but it's so nice being in a relationship and prom is going to be happening sooner than you think. I will be damned if you don't have a date.” She rolls her eyes at my dramatics. “What if I told you that Zack has been asking about you?”

“Ya and? I'm not planning on dating him or anyone.”

“Okay whatever you say. Hey I need to go Rian is taking me out somewhere for our anniversary so I’ll talk to you when I get home. Love you.”

“Ya love you too.” I mutter as she leaves. I sigh and get up going to Alex’s room. He has music pumping so it's safe to assume that he’s home. “Alex?” I shout over the music and knock.

" Ya what do you want?” He yells back.

“Can I come in please? I want to talk to you.”

The music is cut off and the door opens. “We have talked more this past week than we have all year.”

“Isn't that what siblings do? Talk?” I push past him and sit on his bed. “Okay what do you want to talk about?” He replies as he sits in his desk chair.

“Why do you do what you do on the weekends?”

“I don't know. Maybe it's cause I get bored.”

“Take me to a party I need to go.” I have no one in my life so why don't I just become someone like my brother?
