Gravity Pulls Me In

You're Dripping Like A Saturated Sunrise

Bella POV “O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?” I practice, putting as much emotion into it as I can. I do this as I pace around the girl’s bathroom, the only quiet place I could find before the play starts. You see acting is my version of drugs. When I go on stage and become a different person, it's like a high. A high that nothing could ever replicate. Acting is the only time I appreciate being in the spotlight while my twin brother loves being in it twenty four seven. “Isabella? We need you backstage now.” A voice at the door breaks through my thoughts. I go to the door and open it ready to go and face my director being furious at me for wandering away again. But the lecture never came. The director, our wonderful choir teacher, was so frantic running around to making sure everything was in place before the show started didn't even care about me as I slipped in with the student director who had found me in my hideout. Minutes before the show was supposed to start Mrs. Stevens the director decided to make a speech to pump us up. “Alright guys this is the real deal and it's time to get out there and make Billy Shakespeare proud. So let's kill it!” She told us as we all sent up a cheer and then dispersed to go to where we were needed. Since I was playing Juliet and was needed for a little bit, I went to go see if stage crew needed any help. When they shooed me away I waited for my cue, relishing the moments before I went on and become Juliet. ××××××××××××××××××××××××××××× After the play was over and everyone cried over the tragic end to the young lovers’ lives, I went to a cast and crew party at the home of the kid who played my Romeo. It was probably the only party that my brother would never go to. No one was allowed to drink or do drugs here since our director would have our heads if we did. So Alex would deem it as a place unfit for him. “Hey Bella have you seen the new kid around? The word is that he was the lead in all of the musicals and plays at his old school?” My best friend Cass said as she leaned across her boyfriend. “Hmm don't tell Tyler about him then. I don't think his ego could handle any competition.” I said with a small chuckle. Tyler was the one who usually got all the male leads and let it get to his head. “I think we could use a fresh face in our drama world. Who knows maybe he’ll get the lead next and maybe he’ll finally be the one to win your heart.” She adds with a lift of her eyebrow. “Doubtful.” I scoff. “ I don't need anyone, you should know since you were there for what had happened last time.” “Ya but she was a real piece of work and loved to make babies cry in her free time.” I laughed and shook my head as the thoughts of my ex danced in my head. You see I considered myself bisexual and the only person who knows that is my dear friend Cass. And it's going to stay that way for as long as I would like it to.
